Great dinner time! I enjoyed the food at this location. I usually find the locations in the mountains to be better than the ones in the city. The pizzas, the Huggies and the mushroom's soup were tasty. Our server was great as well. The location is spacious and has a nice decor. You should stop by if you are in the area.

While service can vary from location to location, you can always count on consistently yummy food at Mellow Mushroom. I don't frequent many chains, but this is one I have no problem choosing in my hometown or elsewhere as I know I am going to enjoy some delicious pizza. While in Boone for July 4th weekend, everywhere downtown had a wait. We decided Mellow was our best bet as it's a pretty big place and maybe would be less popular to tourists wanting a new Boone experience. They text you when your table is ready and it honestly only ended up being like 20 minutes. We were sat in a booth in the corner by the kitchen, which was nice as the place was jumping and kind of loud. Our waitress was very nice and overall attentive considering the crowd. They had a Grilled Chicken Cobb salad I hadn't seen at my local Mellow that my husband and I ordered as a starter to share. It was really good. Nicely cooked bacon pieces with big chunks of avocado and chicken. Wish there had a been a little more tomato, but that's nitpicking. Their Esperanza dressing went great with this salad, as it does with everything. We shared a medium Thai Dye as it's my husbands favorite. Tasty just like it is at other locations, nice amount of toppings and their crust really is the best. It's just a very fresh tasting pizza and don't know of another joint that has something like it. Try it if you never have. Sometimes it's not on the written/local menu, but they will generally make it for you if you ask. Do it! My cousin can't have dairy so he got the Mighty Meaty, but without cheese. There was so much meat on that pie I bet that helps one forget cheese is missing. I do appreciate that Mellow is so accommodating for all kinds of dietary restrictions. They can do gluten free crust, vegan cheese, and all other kinds of substitutions a person may need. Makes it a great place to go with a group and all can get something they want as everyone loves pizza. My only complaint on this visit was the bathrooms. In the Women's there was only one operating stall, which made the wait long. Also, the trash was overflowing with paper towels all over the floor. It was clear it had not been serviced in a while. As I said they were crazy busy, but when you are busy this is something you gotta stay on top of as it can really effect the customer experience.

We love Mellow Mushroom! Service is always great and attentive and you can't beat their pizza. The interior decorations are on point and I love the ambience- Tame Impala and Rainbow Kitten Surprise as background music, love it. Definitely recommend MM if you're looking for good pizza and a chill atmosphere.

We had a very great and pleasant dinner at Mellow Mushroom. Our server was very polite and professional! The only reason I give 4 stars is prices. I think this restaurant is overpriced. Our pizza was good but the price something around $27 for one medium pizza that's ridiculous and it wasn't that special. It's good but nothing more. Not impressed. But in general it was fun restaurant to have a dinner.

We came in here on a Sunday night over a holiday weekend, it was quite busy so we opted to eat at the bar. The decor is bright and fun, it would probably appeal more to kids though. I'm not sure if they had parking or not, but we opted to park in a town lot that was about a block away. We noticed they had some interesting drink specials, so we each went for the $6 margarita. Not too strong and pretty average quality drink. We ordered the pretzel bites with cheese, so delicious! If you do a Yelp check in, you get a coupon for free bites! I have noticed this promo is common at a lot of the Mellow Mushrooms that we have been to, so be on the lookout for it. We have had the bites before and know the portion is generous for 2 people, probably better to split between 3-4. We each ordered a side salad and one small pizza to split, we were stuffed by the end of our meal. All of the food came out fresh and fairly quickly considering how busy it was. The pizza was flavorful and salads were good. With the coupon, I think the total bill was about $32, so not too bad! I'm sure we may be back next time we are in Boone.

Mellow Mushroom is good, though if you've been to one, you've been to all. I mean that as all of the food items are essentially the same. So nothing new to report here in that regard. As it relates to this specific location, the folks here are very friendly. They quickly accommodated this evening for a large group of both adults and children. Despite the size of our table, the food orders were all correct, and there were no issues with splitting up the checks individually. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely consider coming back with a large group! Regarding food choices, today I did something out of the norm and did not order pizza or beer as I dined out (confession: had yesterday). Instead, I had a lil (small) spinach salad (spinach, pecans, feta, dried cranberries with balsamic vinaigrette) and bowl of the mushroom soup. Salad was , as always; the soup was alright but not what I was expecting. The consistency was more like a "cream of mushroom" soup, and instead I was hoping it would be more broth-like with whole or sliced mushrooms. The soup was good enough for me to finish but I will probably never order it ever again. Next time, I'll definitely stick to my Kosmic Karma with a local craft beer on the side. Regarding atmosphere, I think it's nice. It is more open than other locations I've attended. Notably, it doesn't have an outdoor area and parking is limited to parallel parking on the street given this is located in downtown Boone off King St.

$64 for two large pizzas and five soft drinks! Are you kidding me? These are Hawaii prices in North Carolina. What a ripoff.

Note, however, that if you're looking for private secluded spaces, this may not be the spot. We were able to be seated immediately upon arrival, and our server was promptly by the table to go over the menu with us. We each ordered a cocktail and the skillet chocolate chip cookie. The skillet chocolate chip cookie arrived a bit before both of our drinks, which was a bit odd considering we had waited probably 15 minutes without drinks. As far as the cocktails, we ordered the Cynar Old Fashioned and the Buffalo Heard. The old fashioned was good, though I didn't notice the flavor of the Cynar at all. It was very dry, which I like, but may not be for you if you like a sweeter old fashioned. The Buffalo Heard was light and refreshing, with a nice bit of the bourbon shining through. Overall, the cocktails were quite good. It's a unique spot, and has a lot of potential. It appears they are still ironing out a few kitchen/bar/service kinks, but I think these are all small things. Look forward to visiting again soon.

We stopped at South End Brewing for lunch and loved the cozy, laid-back vibe. I tried a pumpkin beer while Steve went for an espresso martini--both were fantastic choices for a fall afternoon. Since portions are usually huge when traveling and we don't like carrying leftovers, we decided to share the Tuna Poke Power Bowl ($20). It came with quinoa and spring mix as the base, topped with edamame, cucumbers, guacamole, cabbage, crispy wontons, and fresh ahi tuna. It was flavorful and beautifully presented, though I honestly couldn't find much quinoa--it felt more like a salad than a grain bowl. Still, everything tasted fresh, the service was wonderful, and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely a great spot to stop if you're exploring Boone!

The Tuna Poke Nachos were incredible, almost comparable to the ones at Yard House, and the Flounder Sandwich was also a tasty choice. However, there were a couple of misses. The Smash Burger wasn't very flavorful and definitely needed a bit more sauce to bring it to life. I also grabbed a Caesar salad, but the croutons were a little weird and personally weren't my favorite. The service was standard and got the job done, but overall, it's a nice spot I'd visit again for the nachos alone.

My wife and I was were welcomed in by the hostess and seated quickly. It's not a huge space, but they've got a good bit of seating, and a little more upstairs, which allows you to look down into the brewery. Our server, Alex was very friendly and offered some beer recommendations based on our preference. They had a good variety to pick from and even some canned to go. Their food menu also offered a good selection. My wife and I decided to share an order of loaded fries to start, and then the "white buffalo" pizza. I enjoy white pizza, and enjoy buffalo chicken pizza...but this was the first time I've ever seen them together. The food was great, everything, tasted really good, and had good flavors. The Game Day IPA and Lost Province IPA's were both also very tasty Being a Friday night, they had a live musician, playing great music, which we really enjoyed while we ate and took in the atmosphere. I'd pass this recommendation on as well, and would return to try some of their other varried menu next time I visit Boone
