Visited Mellow Mushroom for lunch with the family. The inside wasn't too busy so we were sat quickly. Wings were tiny little Barbie-Sized things, just ok. Salads were OK but nothing special. The cardboard GF crust and bland toppings were forgivable, but not the 3 days my poor husband lost after eating it; he was SO SICK. We visited this store just 10 days ago and wanted to come back and try again. The team at MM pizza bakers really look like they are stepping up their game . There was a few other people but soon after we arrived a few more customers came in. The waitstaff took great care of my party of four and the pizzas and salads were perfectly done and served. There are no locations around us in South Florida since they closed down and decided to pop in for dinner while we were in the area. I have always been a fan of Mellow Mushroom and it never disappoints. We were seated right away and got our order taken quickly. The cheesy bread and the cheese and pepperoni pizza were yummy. It was plentiful and we didn't leave room for leftovers. Maybe that's why we didn't get dessert...lol! Our waiter was fantastic. He constantly checked on us to make sure we had everything we ordered and see if we needed anything. I have been to mellow mushroom before, but never this location. It was bright, airy and would be good place to watch a sports game in. We sat at a booth and had a great waitress. We started with the pretzels, and ordered more than we needed because we knew we wanted to take some home. And, we love their salad dressing - Esperanza to dip the pretzels in, but mustard and red sauce is good as well. (& you can order beer cheese for an added price) We ordered a 'make your own pizza' and added shredded and fresh mozzarella , Italian sausage, black olives and mushrooms. I was so sad their location at citrus park closed. That was our go to Mellow Mushroom. I have so many memories of going there with my dad who passed away 11 years ago. We drove out there last night here to bring the kids to mellow mushroom. I really wish we had somewhere like this close to our home. Pizza is consistently good here. We had the taco pizza and a bunch of appetizers including the pretzel bites, artichoke dip and meatball trio. We also had the mango margarita. The drinks were great. Service was great, the servers work so hard. The pizza was as good as I remembered. The kids had a great time and ate everything, which is always plus. The place is kid friendly, lots of room to roam, but also with great food and drinks. The preserved tree in the parking lot is definitely worth seeing. See you next time mellow mushroom! read more

Booked for a group of 40. Food came out correct and was great when we eventually got it. (The kitchen fast our server was not) Our server was extremely rude and arrogant. We were advised that a server never showed up so they were down, we understand and tried everything we could to try and help them out but our server wasn't having any of it. This could have been a 5. The food, when received was quite good. The restaurant which has at least 50 tables had three occupied at 11.55 am and two of them had their food. We were seated and ordered everything immediately. At 12:20 we will hadn't received a simple salad. We were told several times, "it'll be right out". We understood a 20 minute wait for a fresh made pizza. lt took 35 minutes in an empty dining room. We understand it is not a FF drive through. But is not Bern's Steakhouse either. Well we didn't get to taste the food that we ordered because after a 45 min wait for 3 calzones and our waitress telling us twice our food will be right out. There were 2 people at the bar and not a single other patron. No reason it should take that long without some sort of communication from the staff. Haven't been to a Mellow Mushroom in probably 10 years and I can't believe I waited so long! The food was incredible. We were a party of 25-30 people. We had a reservation so the tables and chairs were set up for us. Our waitress was great! I think she was by herself taking care of us with just people helping to deliver food. I ordered the pretzel bites with a beer cheese. So good!!The bites were perfect! They were more like balls of baked dough vs a pretzel I thought. I loved this! I ordered a medium Holy Shiitake Pie. I could have probably ordered a small but why not have leftovers! Wow! This was possibly the best pizza I've ever had. I know it's a chain but this was fantastic. Each place you look is a different art piece, even the lighting in some places is a work of art. The food is phenomenal. The wings - perfect temp and served with the sweet Thai chili sauce and ranch. The garlic butter pretzels were fluffy and mouth watering. And the pizza! The pizza was just what the doctor ordered. Dairy free cheese, barbecue chicken, bacon and more - cooked to perfection and just enough for the two of us to eat and have a slice left over for each of us later. FYI we ordered a medium pizza.
