They must put drugs in their pizza! We drove past yesterday (Saturday) in the late afternoon and got hungry from looking at the sign, so we thought we'd give it a try. The place is huge with fun decor, a bar and an amazing menu! Our waitress was nice and quick too. We ordered the House Special pizza and were SO happy with! It was delicious! We left feeling great- not to full. Dare I say the mushrooms were special? I've never felt so good after eating a pizza! We will definitely be back there the next time we're in the area! read more

Terrible experience! Server did good but the pizza took 1 hour 25 minutes. We only ordered two small pizzas and a calzone. No one came to table to see if we were ok except for the server. 68 dollars for food. Definitely not worth going again. No Manager visited the table. read more

The inside of this place is beautiful and I love the cool decorations, the table we were seated at was covered with crumbs and our waiter was terrible. He had attitude with us from the minute we were seated, the waiter rarely came to check on us and it took an hour to get our food. There was only three of us and we ordered one pizza and one appetizer. The pizza tastes great but came with barely any toppings, we paid $7.50 additional for pepperoni, black olives and banana peppers but there was really only cheese on it. If I could give Zero stars I would. The service was slow, the staff incompetent and management non existent. We were a part of 5, we had to ask 3 times (spoke to a manager each time) if we had a server. Then took over 40 minutes to get appetizers and even longer for dinner. When the food finally came, one meal was missing, and that took another 20 minutes to get. (It was fish) No apologies from anyone and the manager was the one who brought the dish out. I reviewed a CiCi's the other day and said the same thing I'm about to say: if you've not been to a mellow mushroom, go now! This is probably the best pizza I've ever eaten (BBQ chicken w/ jalapeños). The 10-inch was more than enough for me. I made it through about 2 1/2 pieces, which leaves enough for lunch tomorrow. The service was meh. Again, we were here close to closing, so I expect it to be a little lacking. We never went without drink though, but that's really all that needed o be taken care of. This WILL be on my to-do list every time I'm down here. I can't wait to come again! read more

My wife and I are vacationing at Orange Beach. Reading the reviews, we decided to try the Mellow Mushroom. The service was good, but the pizza was just.....ordinary. I've had better from Papa Johns on a Monday $5.99 carry-out special. We ordered the Mighty Meaty. After eating my first slice, I went back for another. By the time I did, the oil from the cheese, pepperoni and beef, had soaked into the crust, making it soggy and kinda disgusting to eat. Other people may like it, or have had a better experience, but I've tried it, didn't like it, won't be back. read more

This is our favorite pizza place. They have a large selection of pizzas to choose from we love their Holy Shiitake pizza. If you aren't looking for Pizza they also have hoggies and salads. They also have a good beer selection for our area and they just added more taps at this location. This is a great restaurant for large groups and birthdays. The service has always been a pleasure. I just love Mellow Mushroom! Hands down the best pizza in the south. Being from New York I fancy myself an authority on pizza. I pretty much get the same thing all the time the Buffalo chicken pizza. This MM made it okay. Not the best one I have had from there. It was also not the worst. That's Murfreesboro TN. Our server Jason was great very personable. Love the staff they are friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to try other stuff if I can pull myself away from that Buffalo chicken pizza. This was by far some of the worst service my family and I have ever had. We asked for a child's cup for our daughter so we could put her milk that we ordered in cause the paper straws was not working for her (she is 16mo old). We had to ask her again when she finally came back. We also asked for another milk. She never brought it to us. So I had to go out to our car and get our daughters water. It's just a shame that we pay so much for food service and the service makes us not want to ever go back to ANY of the establishments. read more

Amazing experience! My husband, two kids and me are on vacation and saw this pizza place and decided to stop on in for a bite. We ordered 2 pizzas. I really hadn't expected them to be tasty (I'm not big on pizza) but these were fantastic! I'm going to have to check to see if there's a Mello Mushroom close to our home! We took a family vacation last month to Alabama & decided to hit the beach for a few days. I researched great places to eat and this seemed to be a must stop... Let me tell you - I LOVE pizza. But so many restaurants just don't do it well enough. Mellow Mushroom ROCKS! I had the "Holy Shitake Pie" and my husband ordered the "Mad Italian" Best pizza we've ever had!! If you get Tiffany, request another server. Let me first tell you that this is the MM that started it all for me. It was my first step on the Mellow Mushroom odyssey. Each MM has unique dishes and here it is the Bob Marley. But this past week was my worst trip to any MM in the country. Our group was quickly seated where the wait began. Finally our air head, I mean server appeared, Tiffany. When Tiffany finally reappeared with our drinks, we should have downed them and left. Instead we waited another 15 minutes for her to come back and take our food order. Food was typical Mellow Mushroom stuff. . . GOOD. But Tiffany was nowhere to be found for drink refills. When she finally returned with the ticket, I tried to give her my credit card so we would not be stuck for another 20 minutes but she ignored me and walked off. My party was ready to leave so I got up and went to the cash register. Now I'm standing there paying and Tiffany comes up beside me and ask the manager, "Did they leave without paying?" The manager was watching as another server ran my credit card. He looked at her and then asked me if everything was OK. I told him that at least the food was still good. I will come back but will definitely ask for another server if Tiffany comes to my table. read more

Very impressed. We ordered this during our family gathering and it was well worth the drive back to the beach. It is slightly expensive (around 37.00 for 2 large pizzas) but well worth the expense. We had a gourmet white pizza which was very craveable. Their pepperoni was also delicious. The slices were huge, and all of the ingredients were fresh. I also believe the crust is whole wheat but I had no way to verify that. Top notch pizza! read more
