I was bummed with the drink selection the fountain machine was broken (not a problem for me because I don't drink soda) , but the fridge only had canned sodas, a loaded sugary sparkling soda with aspartane, and an artificially flavored tea. We were vacationing in Saint Augustine and we were craving pizza where we can order out fast . When we were driving, I scanned through their online menu and decided to do 2 slices of grandma's pizza, garlic knots, and 2 slices of cheese pizza. My husband ordered some meat slices as well. When he arrived around 12:15 pm on a Thursday to make the order, the lady at the register stated they are out of garlic knots for the day and that they have to make grandma's pizza as there were no slices available for purchase. This was disappointing as we wanted something where we didn't have to wait for long. The wait time was about 20 minutes. My husband noticed couple of customers who entered the restaurant but then abruptly leave since they didn't want to wait for the pizza to be made. Now onto the pizza, overall I enjoyed the grandma's pizza. I thought it was flavorful and the tomato sauce on it was delicious. The cheese pizza was pretty good too. The slices are big and filling. Saint Augie's had a big menu and lots to choose from. I tried one of their specialty pizzas and kids had pizza by the slice. We ordered a Greek salad, but they forgot to bring it out but honestly, we forgot to ask for it.... Overall, the food was good no complaints there. It seems like a small family run business . They were friendly! This place seems more set up for takeout versus dining. The dining room was small and had limited tables for families and no one checked on us after we received our food. They did have a foosball table that was free and the kids enjoyed playing that! A little more attention to the dining room and experience and they would be rated with 4 stars. read more

This is my fave pizza place when visiting Saint Augustine. We always get a fresh large pie of the hawaiian pizza, and we enjoy it. Their crust, cheese, and pizza sauce are all perfect in my opinion. Just recently had a pretty good slice of white at St. Augie's! When a pizza shop brands itself as NY style, I get very speculative because growing up with Philly and NYC pizza I realize I had only the best as a kid. While it was thin crust and they had all of the typical options, it was probably the best pizza I've had yet down in FL. I really liked the thin crust, the abundance of cheese, and the whole pizza shop vibe of the place. I'd go back again. Had never been before and always want to support small businesses. We got 4 different slices to try and sodas out of the drink case and an order of meatballs which were good. The place was very warm inside and the lady who waited on us was pleasant, and we were the only people there. We had heard good things about the pizza and was disappointed. The spinach made the crust soggy on the spinach/ ricotta piece and although the pizza was hot after it had been reheated, but it didn't make it taste any better. The owner accused us of trying to not pay when my husband stood at the register and the woman just never took his card, & he hat down, then we sat down and the food was on the counter, he got up to get it all and neither my husband or the Owner who is now accusing us remembered until we were In the car to have us pay. A simple mistake is NOTl a reason to accuse us of a slanted review. It was simply a 2-3 out of 5..... it could have been a 4 if it was less soggy from spinach, and a bit fresher and comfy to sit instead of very warm inside. Sadly, yelp doesn't give 1/2 stars or I'd be a 2-1/2. Your cashier should have taken payment at the counter, but don't blame an honest mistake. If she'd gotten a 4 or 5 you wouldn't accuse someone on a walker of trying to "dine and dash"... we sat chatting for 1/2 hr and took 5 minutes to go to the car and stopped to chat with a harmonica player. I always thank staff for a meal, and "good" is a 2-3 to us, great is a 4/5. We have eaten here many times. I love the slices. Just like NJ/NY area. Definitely, one of the most authentic in this area.

I consider dissatisfaction when teenagers start quoting the papa John's tagline of "better ingredients, better pizza" but teenagers are picky so..what do they know? We tried: Half pepperoni pizza & half chicken Parmesan Garlic Rolls This pizza shop was nicely located close to the main centre of events & the staff was very kind. The pizza was in my opinion good. It was hot, & cheese-y. The one thing I did agree with the teenagers about was the garlic knots - the only reason I can't give 5 stars. They were dry & didn't taste garlicky.There were also moments in which the staff ate in front of guests. This is the best pizza place I've ever had the opportunity to go to. I am gluten intolerant (non-celiac) and they make the pizza in a separate tin plate, so I never have to worry about cross contamination. I used to live in the north and I recall as a kid eating their pizza. The cheese and the sauce give the pizza here that authentic delicious flavor. Tried this pizza a few times...the pizza is good, definitely not the best in St. Augustine, but that is different for each individual. I was super excited when I read the reviews, but disappointed after taking the first few bites of the pizza. I really expected it to "wow" me. Again, it is good pizza...but it's ok average pizza. I read in the reviews that Grande cheese is used and that is ok. I did like the sauce, but the crust was slightly thicker than I/we like our New York pizza to be. I personally think a pizza should be as good cold as it is warm (since we like to eat leftovers later or for breakfast). However, the pizza from here loses something once it starts to cool down. That's a turn-off for me and my pizza snob family. Perhaps if we just had a slice instead of a pie it may be different. Personally, I also think the prices are high compared to other pizza places in and around the area. I believe it was the owner that attended to us and she was nice. Inside the restaurant is cute with New York décor. There is an extra charge for using a credit card and there is a sign for this so it isn't a surprise. Also, there is parking in front, but it can be a little tricky to get in and out of, not to mention it is a shared lot by the other businesses in the building. That said, there is parking along the side as well and I would recommend parking there so you can pull out and go down the alleyway to get out instead of the street in front. read more

My Hawaiian pizza was good, the antipasto salad was fabulous with fresh greens, and we also ordered Stromboli. A suggestion would be to spread out the spinach instead of bunching it to one side. Found a parking spot- that's always a good thing in downtown St Augustine. Really helpful friendly staff. Wife and I shared the salad - plenty for two people. Fresh greens came with sliced cucumbers tomatoes and carrots. Excellent. Decided on a Supreme pizza - just like the selection of toppings. Thought the bell peppers had a nice taste. Being that it was St Patrick's day-I thought we would be waiting forever for any restaurant downtown! But St Angie's was very fast and got our order made and ready within about 45 minutes! I picked it up to go so we did not dine in but they have about 6-7 tables or so! The Grandmas is always delicious and perfect as always! Honestly when I saw the Garlic bread I was a bit disappointed( you can see the burnt pieces in the photo) but it ended up being more so burnt cheese since it was cooked in the tin! We were in the area for the night of lights and had parked next to this pizza place. We decided we didn't want to wait the hours it would have taken to eat at any of the restaurants in town so decided to order a pizza instead. It's a little place with a few chairs inside and the pizza came out pretty quick. I personally didn't like the amount of oregano that was in the sauce but the rest of my family enjoyed it. They also had pizza by the slice available so if I went back I may get something for myself that didn't include their tomato sauce. read more

This is hands down the best NY style pizza you will find in St. Augustine. We have taken out from here multiple times and are always amazed at the quality of food that is delivered to our home. Consistent, wonderful flavors, amazing variety of foods. They are always quick to prepare and get the food out the door in a timely manner even when they're swamped with orders.
