    Straberry crepe
    Grace P.

Considering I visited during the store's soft opening, hiccups are intended to be worked out during this period. The shop was clean and bright. We ordered the hojicha soft serve and the strawberry crepe. The Hojicha soft serve was good. The strawberry crepe however, took upwards of 20 minutes to make, and lacked whipped cream, sugar, and the overall sensational of eating a pleasurable dessert. The strawberries that were used as garnish were on the mushier side and didn't live up to the portray Japanese style. I'm hoping with the soft opening, they'll have a better grasp of timing and topping ratios for a better crepe.

    Matcha creme brulee and gachapon

Stumbled upon this new crepe spot and had to give it a try. I love Japanese crepes, though this place takes a more unconventional approach. I ordered the matcha crème brulee crepe through their kiosk system, which lets you customize the fillings. I already had a feeling I wouldn't love the cereal toppings, but I still wanted to try them out for the experience. They offer things like Frosted Flakes, almond slices, and even Biscoff cookies. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of those in crepes, but I also felt like the crepe might taste a little plain without some added texture. Next time, I'll probably skip the flakes since I did really enjoy the matcha crème brulee filling itself. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff filled the crepe all the way to the bottom. Nothing is more disappointing than getting to the end and finding it empty. I personally prefer my crepes a bit crispier, while this one leaned more soft and chewy. Aside from the food, they also had a great gachapon selection, which was a fun bonus. Overall, I'm happy to see a new Japanese crepe shop in town and hope they stick around!

I'm not really a big fan of crepes but I just saw this place and thought to try it. I ate the Creme Brûlée crepe and I think it's alright. There was only creme brulee at the top and the rest was filled with whipped cream and strawberries. I got it for $8 but it would've cost ~$11 without the discount. I just think that there's nothing much to it but it was still pretty good I guess. It also took like 15 minutes to come out.

    Creme Brûlée Crepe (contains bananas)

Came during their Soft Opening. The store itself was spacious and clean. Ordering is done through self-ordering kiosks. The descriptions for the sweet crepes don't mention all the ingredients, at least the Creme Brulee crepe. I ordered the Creme Brûlée Crepe, and no where in the description does it mention it having bananas. So I was surprised to see and taste bananas in the crepe. They should add that to the ingredient list, cause if I had known there were bananas in the crepe I would've chose a different one to try. Besides that, the crepe itself had a nice soft texture just like what you would expect for a japanese crepe. The cream and creme brulee was good too. Overall would come back to try their other crepe flavors. Please just be more descriptive in what ingredients are in each item!!

I want to give this a 3.5 stars for the overall experience. I came here with some friends to try out and here is what we got: 2 #3 Lunch Box Sets: - spicy salmon - spicy salmon - hojicha latte - spicy tuna - savory scallop - hojicha latte 2 sweet crepes - crème brulee - flan (had biscoff cookies inside) Pros: - both friends who tried the hojicha latte agreed it was good - everyone loved the savory crepe in general, definitely melts in your mouth and the sweetness of the crepe compliments the savory in the protein of choice - sweet crepes were a good size - presentation of the crepes in a glass vase with marbles was definitely cute - cute ambiance w gacha machines in general - good pricing for their lunch sets (we did go on a weekday so it was us getting our order within 15 minutes, not sure how weekends going to go) Cons: - everyone agreed that savory crepes could use more protein of choice - I personally think savory crepes are a bit smaller (?) maybe because I'm hungry, feels like more of a snack tbh - sweet crepes did utilize some unripe bananas so we had crunchy bananas when eating - kiosk could be worked on, lunch set didn't include spicy salmon but we let the service workers know and they were able to work it through - lack of nut allergies posted Overall: This place has potential to grow, I think it needs more attention in terms of what their menu posted and fix the items listed on the kiosk. I would worry in terms of spacing if there's rush hours as well as how long they would take to get the crepes done if there's a long line. I would come back to try their sweet crepes of their Mont Blanc and sweet potato, but they didn't have it at the time of their soft opening. I would also come back to try more of their savory crepes!

crème brûlée crepe, flan crepe, and strawberry crepe *WITH NUTS*

Came here for their soft opening today and wanted to support a new local business, but the experience was really disappointing. We originally tried ordering with the cashier, but were directed to use the kiosk instead. On the kiosk, there was no customization option to remove nuts or indicate any food allergies. One of the crepes had almonds in it, but the menu only described it as having a "subtle crunch" with ZERO mention of nuts or allergy warning. My brother-in-law has a severe nut allergy and was one bite away from having a serious allergic reaction. We brought it up to staff and all we got was a quick "sorry." No remake, no refund, nothing. I understand they just opened and soft openings can be hectic, but food allergies are a serious safety issue and should never be overlooked. On top of that, it took around 45 minutes to get 3 crepes. I really hope they take this feedback seriously and improve, because I'd be open to supporting them in the future. But as of right now, I would avoid this place, especially if you or someone you know has food allergies.

Tried this place after eating at shabuya and got the matcha Creme brulee with strawberries. It took a minutes since they just opened and they're still learning how to make them but overall I enjoyed the crepe plus they have 20% off special online! Definitely coming back when I'm in the mood for a crepe and they have an extensive menu that looks good.

The interior is beautiful, very Japanese-inspired with a clean mix of modern and rustic design elements. The menu is quite curated, featuring just a few options for main entrees and a select handful of appetizers. We arrived right at opening on a Tuesday night. We skipped the appetizers and were unfortunately told they were already out of Uni, meaning the Matsu bowl wasn't available. We both opted for the Take bowl instead. One major downside for me was the pricing. The bowls are already quite steep, so discovering that you have to pay an additional $4.50 just for the dashi broth felt a bit off-putting. Because of that, we chose to skip the broth altogether. As for the food, the bowl itself was flavorful and the portion size was decent. However, given the price and the massive reputation, it didn't quite meet my expectations and felt a bit underwhelming. I don't think I would return to this location, but it did make me want to travel to Japan to try the original version!

I recommend asking for the curry on the side so that your katsu doesn't get all soggy during your meal. Service was also solid as well. Really can't complain honestly. And if some changes are made, it may be better. We ordered the Tonkatsu Curry set, the Kirekatsu set, and the Udon w/ curry set. The commonality of the three dishes were the three huge "bricks" of tonkatsu. Though they were awesomely juicy and had a nice crunch to the coating, they lacked flavor. I believe this is due to the shear size of the tenderloin (each one would constitute one serving of meat.) Even with tonkatsu sauce (very sparsely drizzled), the flavor was lacking. I prefer the bite-sized cuts instead. Perhaps the most frustrating is the weight of each brick made it a challenge to hold with chopsticks (in all fairness, they did provide a fork . . .). And twice I dropped the brick into my bowl of udon, splashing the curry broth everywhere. Grrrrr! The curry had a spicy kick at the start, but then . . . Mixed feelings. Difficult to describe, but it seems that there was an emphasis more on the spiciness, but not much on flavor? For me, the blend was not balanced. That is what each of us felt. The curry sauce for the udon was nice, however and did not overpower the noodles. The highlights were the pickled carrots and scallion bulbs - outstanding! And they were my favorite item of the entire meal! Very crunchy and packed with flavor, the carrots were delicious, and the small scallion bulbs were crunchy and sweet (though a bit too sweet, in my opinion). These veggies are an effective, but effective palette cleanser. Second most-liked was the bowl of shredded cabbage. The sesame miso dressing was very tasty. With the huge amount of cabbage, the dressing was not nearly enough. I suggest cutting back on the amount of cabbage served and keep the amount of dressing as is. If the wait staff see an excessive amount of uneaten cabbage, that may be a sign to cut back on the serving size... The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Kudos here. It is strange that my accolades principally were of the condiments and the salad, and not of the main dishes. The word "proportion" may sum it up succinctly - make the tonkatsu smaller, cut back on the amount of cabbage in the side salad to better balance the dressing with the cabbage. I may come back to try the other offerings if I am in the area again.

Their prices is at the right price point and cheaper than dining out at a Japanese restaurant because its self served. The only thing I dislike are the stools in the dining area. I have visited their other dine in Sumiya in Sunnyvale and the bento quality is comparable. Overall I would recommend coming here if you want to get quality Japanese skewers bento.
