Such a yummy spot! Their menu is an authentic taste of Mexican food, provided by staff that makes is approachable for someone who isn't as versed in traditional Mexican meals (me haha). Absolutely fantastic restaurant. The food is so delicious (the burrito and quesabirra are excellent), we've been here several times and enjoyed it each and every time. The two owners are wonderful, and both them and the wait staff are so kind, and as a service dog handler, I really appreciate not only that they have good signage on their door, but that they are very knowledgeable about service dogs and well versed in service dog law and are invested in giving service dog teams like mine a safe dining experience. Memo's is quite possibly the best Mexican restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. Memo's cooking is, for lack of a better word, phenomenal. There's sometimes a wait (20 minutes at most) but if you expected to be seated immediately you might as well go to McDonald's. And for being short staffed, everyone there works their butts off to get you your food quickly and I'd honestly gladly wait an hour just to get the chance to eat some of their quesobirria. I've seen some comments about them now charging to chips and salsa after your first batch, but it's a negligible cost on your part and if you order an appetizer, you get more at no extra cost. Plus your food is normally out to you before you're even done with your chips. The bar may be closed, but that does not slow them down in getting your drinks to you. AND THEY ARE DELICIOUS. Try their best darn margarita and you will not be disappointed. If anyone of the staff see this, know that your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed. You all do a phenomenal job and work harder than any other restaurant I've ate at. 10/10 will be back again and again! read more

We enjoyed lunch here on a lovely Saturday and catching up with my niece. This is a locally owned place, but I think she said it's been in the current ownership a couple of years. Exceptionally friendly staff, and an interesting menu. Their guacamole was exceptional, chunky style with some of the softest in most buttery avocados we've ever had. Their queso was good, a tad on the spicy side for me, but I know I'm a spice wimp. Like really a spice wimp. We shared the Skillet Chicken entree - fajita like but with some extra vegetables, and a side of the queso sauce to dip in along with yummy shredded cheese and sour cream. I love that, it perplexes me when some Mexican restaurants bring fajitas and there's no cheese or sour cream to be had. My niece and her husband are working their way through every entrée on the menu. They like things more spicy than I do, but she expressed they have yet to have anything they did not enjoy. I went with her recommendations for everything and they were awesome. I started with the winter Margarita which had incredible flavor and was the perfect balance of sweet. I did 1 tamale of the day which was salsa verde. So so good. I also tried the Torta Ahogada and WOW, so tasty. I've never had anything like this before. Has the special "street corn" which was good. But charge extra and a higher price for side of rice and beans, and to refill chips and salsa. I tried a few things I'd never had before (the Mojcajete Ranchero entree and the Tepache cocktail) and a few tried-and-true favorites (Al Pastor tacos and Mahi Mahi tacos) and every single thing we ate/sipped was to die for. We also got to chat with Memo and Katie about their recipes and the ingredients they use, and you can tell they put a TON of care and soul into every detail of their menu. This is by far our favorite restaurant....not just Mexican restaurant, but restaurant. Food is fresh, cooked perfectly and the service is the best. The owners, Katie and Memo are amazing. You can see and taste their love for food in everything they prepare. And Katie is about the best mixologist I have ever found. The specials are amazing and this is the one place I can do somewhat low carb without worrying. I know low carb in a Mexican restaurant...but it can be done. Shrimp Diablo, big perfectly seasoned and cooked shrimp, deep six the rice and go for extra salad with avocado and it is perfect. Same with Tipsy Chicken which was juicy and cooked to perfection. Okay, so I am torn here. This place has GREAT food! My table tried the street tacos, the corn, the queso, the guacamole, veggie chimichanga, shroom quesadilla, and the grilled jalepenos. Again, great food, outside of the beans which were undercooked and hard when you bit into them. What wasn't so great, was that for a party of 6, where two of the people were under the age of 3, the meal cost over 120 dollars and gratuity was already included in the receipt. They also charge for each soda you drink, not just who orders the soda, each soda has it's own cost. I was not made aware of this until we noticed the charges on the receipt. The decor is really cute, I love the Dia de los Muertos theme they have going on. The tables and chairs are okay, could be nicer quality. Lastly, the portions are... TINY! My shrimp street tacos had, I'm not kidding here, a tablespoon of cut up tiny little shrimp. Again, it tasted fantastic, but I was just still hungry after I had my two bites! For the money however in our experience, portions were very small. my husband got chicken fajitas and I got hurraches. We almost always are able to take home enough food to eat for dinner, but not this time. I also noticed the floor looked as if it hadn't been mopped in awhile and bathroom facilities needed updating. my stall door had a broken lock. Okay so I mean dang... I wish this place the best but given tonight's $100 meal you've got to do better. My wife and 4 year old daughter had dinner here tonight and although we were told it would be more expensive we were fine with that assuming it was at least an elevated experience to typical Mexican restaurants but unfortunately in our opinion it didn't even level up to Cinco De Mayo, El Comal, or El Ok Corral. All of which would have cost us probably less than half what we paid here. We went in at 5pm and were quoted 5 to 10 minutes which that's fine even though it was odd since there were only 3 tables sat in the entire restaurant. Waited 5 min and were sat. Once we had sat down I asked for the Pineapple Jalapeño Paloma which they were out of however he did accommodate and made a spicy marg which was very good ($10). We asked for Guacamole. They were out so we got the quest which is literally identical to any quest you've ever had at most any Mexican spot. For entrees my wife got steak fajitas, I got the good time burrito and my daughter got nachos with beef, beans and cheese on them. The fajitas not nearly as good as most places. They just weren't seasoned well and the peppers and onions in our opinion were undercooked. They didn't come with any of the typical toppings except beans and rice on the side. Also they forgot the tortillas and we had to ask twice for someone to bring them. The tortillas though I'd say tasted fresher than most places. My entree the Good Time Burrito was probably 1/3rd the size you would get anywhere else which if it tasted amazing I'd say is worth it! I didn't need to have leftovers for 2 days but at least give me one reason I should come here than anywhere else. The picture doesn't do it justice to how small it was. I cut it into 6 bites. The nachos were nachos. Nothing special good or bad about them. Oh! Also I got a steak taco $3 2 bites. But it was good id say. When it was time for the check we asked but it took a bit to get. Once we finally packed our stuff up and stood up he brought it over though. It's worth saying the drink menu was very nice and unique. I got a old fashioned riff that tasted great. Overall I just don't get it. I guess maybe our expectations were in the wrong place. We were thinking elevated Mexican restaurant but what we got was smaller portions of the same typical Mexican with less than the typical very good service, at double the price (once again for everything I listed after 20% tip was $102 for my wife, 4 year old and I to have dinner). Oh one last thing that bothers me. Many of the 5 star reviews on here are clearly loaded. They are 100% obviously made by people who know the owners personally and dot base anything on he actually restaurant. OMG. This place is amazing! The interior is redesigned from the last time I was here. It is wide open, airy, clean, with a wonderul atmosphere and great staff. Dinner started off fantastic with a top shelf margarita, and totally honest, it was the best I have ever had. And I am a margarita expert. Then came the Quesadilla with rice and beans. For such a simple dish, it was unbelievable. The rice had a great simple flavor profile, the sour cream was so fresh with a clean finish. My steak quesadilla was perfectly grilled and the exact right portion size. MT. JULIET.....GOING ANYWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR MEXICAN DESIRE IS BOTH SHAMEFULL AND DISRESPECTFUL TO YOURSELF. The guacamole is literally sliced avocados with canned jalapeños on top. This is Mexican food that I've never even experience before and I've lived in southern CA for 38 years and have been to Mexico several times.
