Food was good! service not so much... Asked if i was able to substitute the red sauce for queso on their enchiladas and the server answered promptly with yes! however they failed to mention it was an additional $5. and when i told her i didn't know that she smiled and nodded waiting for my payment, lol. also my "choice of meat" was an additional $2, which was also not included under the description. mind you. so my $13.25 entree became $22 after the bill. not going back after that cold inhospitable service. read more

So we went here with my family after a day spent watching little league softball. I knew nothing about the place but it was small but had a nice atmosphere and fun wall decorations. Going a little backwards here but the food was good. Not the best but pretty good. I had a chicken chimichanga. One person had tacos, another Diablo fajitas to show the different foods ordered. The margaritas were decent as well. Now to the service...whew...so bad it was a comedy and I couldn't even get mad. It was so inept I was just stunned. It was sitcom level bad. To start some of my family recognized some other diners and got to talking. So the rest of us sat and ordered 5 on the rocks margaritas and asked if they had frozen. This started the issues which I will list. The waitress didn't know if they had frozen but would check. So 5 on the rocks, 1 frozen. We got 4 on the rocks, 1 frozen. After we reminded the waitress she eventually got the final one. A different waitress came over some time later saying our waitress having asked just once if we were ready to order, didn't want to bother or hound us. Something like that so new waitress. She took our orders, came back about 3 minutes later to say I have three options of chicken so I took Fajitas chicken. They completely forgot what my mom ordered and had to ask again. We also ordered waters for the table. A third person brought over 1 water and seemed shocked we ordered more. They finally came then the food came fast but they forgot silverware for about half the table and one person's flour tortillas twice. It got to be you had to laugh and joke as it was just so many things and I'm shorting it and skipping some other minor issues. Someone else was paying so not sure the cost but unless you think you will enjoy the comedy floor show I would avoid this place. I don't know if this is standard but a story or two my family told me makes me think it is this way, one story they mentioned was a bourbon mixed drink was ordered and a margarita came out. Still not sure how you confuse them. So fast food service, pretty good food, three stooges comedy service. Just bad. I just can't overstate the amazement I had at the comedy of errors. read more

Great. food a friendly service. Everything we have tried has been fantastic for a small business

Unfortunately, Memo's has lost a customer. Tonight's experience was very frustrating. Went I went to pay the bill, they had charged over $15 for small, a-la-carte bowls of cheese, sour cream and ground beef. I was told (after I paid) that it was because to get those items, I had to order a three taco plate... WHAT? Literally, 2-3 ounces of each item is what I got. What makes this worse, is that the meal was for my 8 year old autistic son. He is extremely picky and eats almost nothing, so I felt very taken advantage of. No apology or an offer to make it right even after a complaint. The girl at the counter gave a bit of attitude as well, showing zero concern for the situation. $43 dollars for that? There's a Mexican restaurant on Hwy 281 that's much better and they would never screw over a customer like this. Too bad for Memo's as me and my family were regulars. read more

I used to love this place. They are now extremely sparse with their torta (sandwiches). I got one with onions, cilantro and barbacoaonthe bsrbacoa, meat only covered half of the bread!!! And it cost me $12. This place has become a dive, and you don't get what you pay for. read more

Food and service were great. Eating area is not too bad. Wished the TVs did nit have sound. Wasn't happy sitting under a TV playing a kids show that noone was watching and having to hear that crap. Found this place by accident while on a drive in the area. Amazing! Great service: the wait staff were very attentive and super friendly. Food was awesome: we had breakfast tacos and they were fully loaded and fresh. Prices were very reasonable, not a single breakfast item over $9.00! Will be back. read more

Every time we get the Al pastor tacos they load them up and they're delicious. The 5 taco plate is not then enough to get your moneys worth and then some. Memos has some of the best green sauce in Central Texas, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. They've got massive breakfast burritos as well. read more

We ordered our meal and they brought it out without any rice because they ran out of rice. we were not informed that they ran out. Then we were told that we could have as much tortillas to replace the rice. We only received 5 total tortillas and they charged us extra for those tortillas. Do not recommend this place. read more

I saw there were some bad reviews on yelp about this place. I've come here a number of times, and the food was always extremely good. And the prices are reasonable. I love that they have a drive-through so you can call your order in and pick it up at the drive-through as well. Their breakfast tacos are small but they're stuffed and very good. It's a newer Mexican restaurant close by my mother in law's house she wanted to try out. Very glad we did. We were a party of eight for lunch and they offered lunch or breakfast menus. Must be Sunday's brunch options. We had an omelette, biscuits and gravy, beef soups, chicken soup, two tacos and I got the pork chops. I really liked the pork chops, two thinly sliced chops topped with tomatoes and onions and comes with rice and beans. I got mine with double rice for $9.99. I'll definitely ordered this again. Great flavor, well cooked, rice very flavorful as well. Everyone else also enjoyed their lunch. Wife and mom there in law loved their chicken soups. Bottom line, very good food at very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend this place to anyone thinking about checking it out. read more

Well! I am shocked at the bad reviews about this little place. I'm driving through to see Texas bluebonnets and almost didn't stop because of things written here! Maybe they just don't appreciate small town cafes. Anyway, chips were crisp. Salsa was awesome and I ate a lot of it. Lettuce and tomatoes were freshly chopped and the meat was yummy. I've come here prob a hand full of times and each time I'm not impressed. I kept coming to see if it would change but it doesn't. The professionalism is HORRIBLE, the restaurant is always dirty and the last two times I ate here I got sick. We definitely won't be back here anymore. This place is hit or miss. Sometimes the food is really good and sometimes really bad. The shrimp cocktail was NOT good. Idk what kind of sauce they use but it wasn't good and the shrimp was hard. Menudo is pretty good there and so is the chili con queso. read more

I've been here about 4 times and every time it just gets worse. The service is slow and the waiters will just stand in the back and stair at you while they talk. Today was extra special though. I asked for a full order of beef fajita nachos with no toppings only cilantro. My friend ordered a chicken fajita half order of nachos also with cilantro. Are plates came out and they looked EXACTLY the same except that mine didn't have sour cream and mine wasn't chicken. I told the waitress I wasn't paying for a full order if I got the same size serving as a half. The manager came over and told us that this one time he would change my charge into the prize of the half order. It's not my fault the cooks make it the same size for two different prices. Well afterwards we get the checks. My friend didn't get charged for cilantro but I did. My check was more then hers even though she had also ordered a drink and queso. I had water and no queso. I got charged 8.99 for my "half" order supposedly because of the beef. Yet nowhere on the menu does it say that beef would make it more expensive. The menu specifically states 5.99 for half and 8.99 for full regardless of meat choice. I will NEVER return to this place again. read more
