Solid attraction and good for families. Ties in nicely with the movie franchise and there's enough competition to make it unique each time that you ride. Scoring makes no sense. Good for kids but not really adult entertaining at all. There is one spot where the car spins 4 or 5 times. This is getting a bit dated now, time for a revamp or a new ride. It is good, just not as good as the new rides which are coming along these days. Ride starts and alien attacks you and you use laser blaster to knock out aliens like a shooting arcade while on a moving ride. My boys love this ride, we have to stop by at least once every time we visit. Although the wait time for the ride was about 45 minutes, we were in line for much less. Social distancing was practiced for all while we waited. Hand sanitizer was provided as well before entering the ride. read more

The Men In Black Alien Attack tide has been around since 2000. For this ride everyone gets a laser gun that is attached to the ride. There is a good amount of spinning in this ride as you move through the scenes. During the ride you are supposed to shoot at the aliens. There is a score board in front of each seat so that you can compete with each other. If you are competitive you can gain an advantage by knowing a few facts about the ride. 1. The smaller aliens are worth more points. 2. Once you lock onto an alien stay on it to continue to rack up multiple points over jumping around from alien to alien. 3. Towards the end of the ride listen for instructions to press the red button near the base of your laser gun. This will add 100,000 points to your total. read more

The Men in Black ride is okay. I used to love it more as a kid but it seems to have not aged well over the years. When I was a season passholder to Universal, it was common that I saw this ride temporarily closed due to technical difficulties. There were even a time or two when this happened while on the ride. The building and inside look pretty cool, and the ride is generally fun. You get a gun and get to shoot aliens, with cool backdrops in every room you go into. They also have lockers right outside the ride to keep your stuff in. While I do like it, it's kind of sad to see them get rid of better rides like Jaws and Jurassic Park, but they still keep this one. Men in Black doesn't stay as relevant as other Universal classics do, and I wouldn't be mad if they replaced it with something new. All in all though, it's fun. Just not the best you can experience in the park. read more

One of my favorite non roller coaster at Universal. Who doesn't love shooting alien scum while protecting your city. One down side I'm always stuck with is I'm always the unfortunate one that gets the messed up laser while the seat next to me works perfectly fine. One of the more lame rides at Universal Studios. But if the wait is 5 minutes, it'll help you kill sometime and it's really not completely terrible. This is an incredibly outdated shooter ride. Will Smith ain't nowhere to be seen! I love shooter rides but this one just seems so inaccurate. You can't see exactly where you're shooting and you have no idea if you're actually hitting anything or just shooting aimlessly. Some things you hit are worth more than others, but you have no idea what's worth what. Some of my friends couldn't handle all of the spinning - Especially at the end! So be aware if you get dizzy easily. This is my least favorite ride at the Universal Parks. ET over Men in Black all day. read more

I can actually care less what the theme is. It's the concept of this ride is what makes me enjoy it so much. Not sure why it's getting some low reviews. This beats the heck outta The Simpsons ride....that's for sure. But I guess to each their own. Unlike Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster over at The Magic Kingdom where you shoot points only for your own personal record, Alien Attack is a competitive shooting game where not only do you play as a team (your entire ride vehicle that sits 6) you play against the ride vehicle opposite to you and try to beat them. Google tips, tricks and secrets on how to gain more points. In the end, you are either welcomed by Will Smith to his team and "your suit will be ready the following day" or he will tell you "you should have aimed better." (something along the lines of that.) I went on this three times and I was only able to get my suit fitted once. I'm very competitive when it comes to silly stuff like this and I wanted to win!!!!! Although all three times my team had a much high score than our opponents. Loose items must be stored in a locker. I wouldn't mind going on this 5+ times so I can find new targets and get better scores each time. =) I suggest you Google what that red button do. read more

This ride is probably one of the better in the park. Free lockers are provided outside of the ride entrance so that you can stow your belongings. The ride spins a lot and I can see someone losing their hat for sure. The wait time wasn't bad, around 30 minutes.But so worth it! Long wending waiting area that you see great props in. Fun arcade-style shooting game. You sit in a spinning car with 2 rows of 3 seats. You are an MIB agent in training, and take part in helping to stop an alien invasion! The goal is to shoot the aliens to earn points. The aliens are everywhere. So be prepare to shoot at every corner. read more

A 'shoot-em-up'a styled ride, you're in a small vehicle with laser guns, and you move through a city shooting aliens. It's similar to Toy Story Mania in Disney World, only faster paced and has more twist and turns. The ride is on track that allows it to suddenly spin in circles all of a sudden, or bounce around like a kangaroo, to simulate a car ride gone wrong when hunting aliens. It's a lot of fun but sometimes the spinning and bouncing can take you out of the enjoyment of shooting aliens, because it's too fast or too sudden. Realism isn't good in this case. Small complaint aside, it's a fun ride and I'd recommend it for at least one go! read more

We are competitive by nature and this shooter ride is ideal for our type. ;) The ride is themed as a training simulation for new MIB recruits, but you'll quickly be whisked into a "real life" scenario as an emergency need arises. Aim for lit eyes on aliens for higher points. There are a variety of aliens and street scenes throughout. It's a pretty twisty ride so be ready for spinning. This ride requires you have no baggage, purses etc. There are lockers to the right of the entrance that are free for a limited amount of time. When we went to use the lockers they were free for 55 minutes but I'm not sure if that number changes or not. This ride is mild with 6 to a car in 2 rows of 3. There was an option for single riders for a separate line which moves relatively faster than the normal line which will take people that want to ride together. MiB is a series of movies where the main characters were Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. It's been around for a while and it does have some appeal left and while it's not exactly new it's still fun. It would be somewhat comparable to Disney's Toy Story ride where it's s shooter and they keep score. Wired laser pistols are at each seat and somehow score is kept for targets that you see through this moving shooting gallery. It spins and moves and aliens are popping up from everywhere while you try to basically shot them with your laser. The motion is mild basically just lateral movement and spinning and facing different directions so it's not that intense. The ride is OK but I wouldn't say it's up to date or great. Originally when we went to line up the ride was closed for some reason but we came back afterwards and it was open again. read more

I had high hopes for you MIB...I really did. But unfortunately, it was a bit too kiddy for me. Basically this is a shoot 'em style game which you hunt down aliens as your cart twists and turns, and they pop out of trash cans, duck behind cars and hang down from the ceiling. Now, that might sound awesome, but really it's all very "cartoony" and this is totally a kid ride aimed at the youngsters. The queue for this ride isn't all that either, unfortunately. It could be a homerun, but it just isn't there. They have some desks as you look down on the "office" but why is the office empty? Can they have guys in suits walking around? Or some robots dressed in suits? That would make it so much better. I get it, they need to have something for everyone - and there's no doubts as a kid this is awesome. You get to zap aliens, you compete for a high score and the "twists and turns" are pretty exciting when you are tiny. read more

Still one of my favorite rides, the MIB shooter is a great way to compete with your friends (and possibly a few random strangers). Try to sit on the edge of the vehicle, since you will be able to shoot more targets that way. The gun keeps firing as long as the trigger is held down, so no need to pull the trigger repeatedly. Shoot for the red/green eyes, and if you happen to see Frank the pug (at a newstand), shoot him for extra points. One additional tip, be sure to press the red button as a team so that everyone gets the bonus at the end. Ask the attendant at the ride entrance for the "immigration floor tour", which allows you to explore the area with the twins, and take plenty of pictures! read more

Forget the old and busted, time to drive the new hotness. Do you remember that screen from the first Men in Black where Will Smith (Jay) does the training shooting cardboard aliens? Well now that's you mission, except now the training grounds have exploded with aliens and they are everywhere so you don't have to worry about accidentally hitting an innocent human. What they don't tell you before you get on is that this is a team mission, everyone in your car is your team verse the team in the car across from you. The real mission is to score higher than they do. Or just have a awesome alien shooter on your team like me to carry the weaklings. My team won, I had an individual score of 286,000. read more

One of my favorite rides of the whole day. Lock up your loose articles and bags in the lockers to the right of the main entrance for free, jump in line, and once you're through the doors, you will enjoy a walk through the training center and eventually make it to the ride. There are two rows of three on each car. For this reason, individuals can take a separate line and will experience a shorter wait time. The ride doesn't exceed 5 MPH but does spin around a few times. You get to shoot at aliens with your very own laser gun. It's more about the experience and not so much the ride. Go enjoy the ride! read more

Ride was fun, a lot of fun...wait in line was NOT. 10 minutes on sign, almost 30 inside (I believe they were experiencing some technical difficulties). I love the MIB movies and the last time I was here I really loved this ride, but this is probably the only ride where I think a comparable one at Disney is better (Buzz Lightyear). Don't get me wrong, this ride is fun, and I LOVE interactive rides like this, but maybe I'm still simply annoyed at having to wait 3x longer than the sign indicated. Team up with the other five riders in your 'car' and compete against the car on the other side by blasting as many aliens as you can. My kids and I had a 'blast' shooting at all the aliens...and my daughter kicked both of our butts. If the wait wasn't so long I would have taken the kids through again, but we were running short on time. I can't stress enough that you shouldn't try to do these two parks in one day if you have kids and / or you don't have the entire day to spend here. read more

Another one of those fun interactive rides where you are thrown into a movie and get to shoot things! The lines can get long for this one but move quickly as there are plenty of cars that pull up for passengers constantly. Single rider is even quicker. The attention to details and props from the Men In Black movies are very cool as you are waiting in line and walking through to get on the ride. It's cheesy fun that I never get tired of. Once on you are thrown into a crazy alien shooting range and spun around into each room/shooting gallery. Use the lazer beam gun to shoot. Points are accumulated by the thousands and there are so many targets to shoot at small and huge. It's a really fun ride that moves slowly so you get your money's worth here. Gain enough points and you are accepted into the MIB Academy! Gettin' jiggy with it! read more

This continues to be my favorite Universal Studios ride! Do know that a single rider or express pass line are your FRIEND here. We have ridden this ride over and over thanks to both of these. We even learned (after all these years) that you can even get back on (when they're not busy!) without going out completely. This time on our most recent experiences, we did experience frustration when turned back from entering due to the small over-the-shoulder bag I was wearing. We were forced to move on or endure the free lockers. We certainly couldn't do without the ride, so we stood in line for awhile, got fingerprinted and ditched the purse so we could have thirty free minutes of MIB bliss. Although it did feel this time (maybe I'm just getting wiser) that the scoring was just pretty random and not based on skill...please let me be wrong!), it's still fun as heck, and worth it for the long bag-check-in-process that was even worse to reverse. Of course, the locker didn't recognize my fingerprint. An attendant came to our rescue (rescue to the masses waiting behind us as well). Anyway, kinks or no kinks, the ride itself is FUN...the best shoot 'em up at any of the parks, imho. read more

This is really just for kids I feel. It's the same as Buzz Lightyear's Toy Story ride in Disney. When you wait on line, it looks just like the movie set. However, I did the single rider to skip all the lines. Ended up sitting next to my bf anyways! But you don't get to see the awesome set design. This ride has a similar concept as the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Disney's Magic Kingdom. It is an older ride, but it's still worth checking out. You'll have to put your belongings in a locker or leave with a non-rider. WAIT TIME/QUEUE: The wait time varies, but usually, this ride doesn't have nearly the wait times that the newer, more popular attractions have. There's a single rider line, along with the Express pass and regular line. The queue itself is pretty boring when compared to the newer rides. You start outside, and it's themed "Universe and Me." Then you head inside into a lobby area, where you're funneled in to an "elevator" before entering MIB headquarters. You'll see the main floor with a bunch of desks, like you can see in the movies. You'll see some of the aliens from the movie, such as the worm guys in the break room. Eventually, you'll make it to the loading station. THE RIDE: I won't spoil the story. You're in a six-person vehicle (three up front and three in the back). Everyone has a gun and a red button in front of them. Shoot the aliens to get points. At one point, you'll be shooting at another vehicle, so this is where the car may spin depending on whether you're hit or not. (If you're sensitive to spinning, this may be something to be aware of.) Tips: - Hit the red button when you're told to. You'll score an extra 100,000 points. - Use the single rider line if you want to skip the long lines during the summer (but be aware you'll be split up). - This is more relaxing than the other rides, so use it to take a break from the more thrilling attractions. read more

This was my second least favorite ride of the day. Although, I would suggest keeping your gun out if no other reason but shear competitiveness. They actually keep score. If I'd known I wouldn't have holstered my fun after the first section. The ride just had a weak story and was boring to me. They do make you put your loose stuff in a locker. Want to shoot lasers and be competitive? This is it! The lines can be really long but it's really worth it. If you shoot at the other team, their ride/vehicle will spin around. Aim at the light that's on top of the vehicle. If you go with friends, it can get competitive. So prepare yourself and shooting as much as you can. You know you shoot it if your gun lights up green and there's a sound. There's a lot twist and turns so prepare for that and when the other teams shoots at you. There's no photo here so don't try to look for it. They took that option out years ago. Have fun at this ride! read more

This ride is fun, but I can't help compare it to the Toy Story ride in Disney Studios and this one pales in comparison. I had a very difficult time figuring out where I was aiming and I didn't hit a lot. Part of that is probably because I'm terrible at aiming. However, I kept seeing red light dots and I couldn't figure out if other people's guns had these red lights to help them aim or if they were just random red light dots. It is fun being an interactive game and everyone should probably ride it at least once in the park, but it is not one of my favorites. read more

MIB is a super fun ride, where you can a group of friends/randoms ride in a cart together as MIB trainees, when an alien ship crashes and you have to shoot real fake aliens instead the paper targets that MIB had for you at the start. Some of the aliens shoot back, which can make your cart spin around, and towards the end you will face off against the cart of people running parallel to yours, having to shoot a little red target on top, which will cause them to spin. Then comes the big boss fight, when you'll have to hit the red button as your normal gun won't cut it. We had a ton of fun, me perhaps more so since I had the highest score, and I'd highly suggest this one. PS. Loved the armoury on the way in which of course had a Noisy Cricket :D read more

You are tossed and turned around so you may not enjoy this is you get dizzy easily or nauseous. The more aliens you hit with the gun attached to the cart, the more points you score. This ride is quite enjoyable since it relies more on animatronics and scenery than screens to deliver an experience. Single rider option like several other attractions further adds to the appeal. Even when it comes to the recap at the end, they use an animatronic alien and not a screen with animation to do so. The only screen is J (Will Smith) 'flashing thing' you at the end of the ride. The premise is your testing to be an MIB agent, and you're in a shooting gallery much like the one in the movie. But there's an emergency of a crash-landed ship and your help is needed to get all the aliens. Shooting gallery-style ride, you try to rack up the points. The guns are not the most accurate (then again designed like the gun from the movie, no sighting on it) but either way still a lot of fun. read more

This ride never gets old for some reason. I always thoroughly enjoy it and the competitive aspect of playing against your friends and trying to score the most points possible! I would warn against riding it on a full stomach, however, because it does spin around pretty frequently and vigorously! The line for the ride keeps things interesting with all of the aliens doing regular office things which is amusing. The wait time never seems to be super long for this ride as well which is great. I absolutely love this ride! It's without a doubt one of my favorite attractions at Universal Studios in Orlando. As former annual pass holders for Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, we've ridden this attraction hundreds of times and have never tired of it. I love the fact that the ride is a competition with another team (the people in the other car directly across from yours), as I'm very competitive by nature and am always thrilled to have a little competition.
