Beware! He came out quoted me $4200 for a new sprinkler system, new valves with a timer, sod grass, and a paver walkway. I didn't see any red flags because I've had him as my landscaper for a while now, he's always had his employees come out cut the grass, and pull weeds without any issues. When it came to this bigger project, he rototilled the lawn, removed the grass and dug trenches for the new sprinkler system, but he only dug out the trenches halfway, so I had to wait another 2 days for him to come back and finish the sprinkler system. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mind you I kept messaging him asking "are you coming today" and he always said "no tomorrow" this is when I started to worry, but I figured maybe he was just busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Another red flag was everyday he would ask me for more money, saying he needs to get materials, so I said ok, and sent the money. Again, I didn't think anything of it because he's always been reliable with my landscaping. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another day goes by, he doesn't show up and again, he asks for more money to get materials.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I keep asking "will you be coming by today, what time will you be coming by" and it was always "no, I'll be there tomorrow". [[HIGHLIGHT]]I literally had to beg for him to show up and complete what I had already paid for at this point.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So now I'm $600 in for a new sprinkler system that hasn't been finished, and 1500 for gopher mesh, staples, and labor. I keep asking "when will you be coming to finish the sprinklers and install the gopher mesh". He said he'd be coming by "tomorrow" again, and that it would be done. He drops off a single worker, that worker was outside by himself all day in the sun finishing the sprinkler system, but no timer was installed, so it still isn't finished. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I contacted Daniel the next day asking "what's going on with the gopher mesh", he said his worker got heat stroke and couldn't make it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm understanding, I don't want anyone to have health problems and work outside in the heat, so I said "I hope he feels better soon". Another day goes by still nothing, he blames his worker again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Days continue to go by and he replies back "my worker isn't answering, I'm going his house to get the gopher mesh and I'm going to install it myself with another worker".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I said "ok, thank you". Still nobody shown up. At this point I realize I'm being lied too and taken for a fool. Still didn't get my sprinkler system finished, never got the gopher mesh installed, and I'm left with an unfinished front yard. I ask him "what's going on will you be coming back, I need my timer, gopher mesh, and staples if you're not, so I can install it myself". He finally answers and says "you got what you paid for". Which is basically an unfinished sprinkler system, rototilling, grass dump fees, labor fees and again an unfinished lawn. This is the worst experience I've ever had with anyone. Please be cautious if you decide to do business with him. Make sure you get the work done before you pay him or he might run off with your money like he did with mine. $2100 gone and nothing done. Thanks for nothing. Now I'm left to finish it myself because I can't afford to pay anyone else nor can I trust anyone. His yelp has a review that is basically the same. Beware! Beware! Beware! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! TLDR; He did a bunch of half-assed work and then when we paid him for concrete he stole $1,000 from us and ghosted us. Dan came out and quoted us a pretty competitive price for sod, sprinklers, drip system, and Concrete. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He did a couple of small jobs for us and then after we paid him nearly $1,000 to schedule concrete, he ghosted us and we know for a fact is now ignoring us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He stole our money knowing that we are on a tight budget and my wife is pregnant and already spent a lot of money to have her first baby shower in our backyard, which she now might not be able to do. This is disgusting. Details: He did the sod, and there's giant divots in places, the edges are crooked and it's not squared, so when I mow the lawn, it's always crooked. It's also not the same width down the side of our house so the path is uneven. He had to move the sprinklers once because they were ridiculously uneven and they are still sitting outside the grass where our concrete is going to go, so I'm going to have to pay for someone to move them again. The grass is also dying in a lot of spots, and when I went to transplant some grass, there was nothing but large gravel under the places where the grass is dying. I asked him for nice river rock looking gravel for the side path and showed him pictures, and when I came home, he had dumped regular industrial looking pea gravel, and then dumped the excess by our back porch. He didn't install the weed barrier correctly either so there's always weeds growing in the path. He told us he was going to fix these things when he came out to help with the concrete, but he said he needed us to send him $650 to reserve the concrete truck, and another $250 for him to raise the drain caps. We finally saved up the money to pay for the concrete job and asked him when we could get it done because my wife's baby shower is coming up in a couple months. He said yes, and "scheduled" it, and then when the time came to get it poured, he kept making excuses like his trailer broke, or whatever and said we would have to reschedule. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He then completely ghosted us and won't return any calls or texts and it's been over a week.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] DO NOT PAY THIS MAN ANYTHING. He's not a professional, and he under quotes and then asks for more money after the job is "done". He might just steal your money and leave you out to dry. We are currently working with legal counsel to see what we can do to recover our money. I'm glad most people on here have had good experiences with him, but I would just warn you to double check any work he's done, and know that it's a risk to pay him any large amount. read more

Dan and his co worker just finished working with our very tall Cypress trees. I've found him at yelp when I sent project inquiries. He gave us reasonable price that fits our budget for that project. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He communicated well and accurately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We just got the quote with the pictures I posted. They came on time and did the work fast and neatly. He said he just started his business but the quality of work they did was amazing. They are pros!!! These guys work with their heart. I know the work is hard but they finished it with a smile. Came and cleaned my back yard leveled it wasn't bad work work quick and efficient could I have done it my self probably but it's either pay with your time or money and they did a fair job for money paid would recommend even left his pick still waiting for them to pick up lol I should have taken before and after but I didn't wouldn't mind using again if I ever need work done again... read more
