I was expecting a lot more given it has 4.8 stars and 500+ reviews. It lacked in the overall experience from walking into the door to the flavor itself. I don't think I'd go back, I'd rather just go somewhere else.

My friends tried shakes, regular scoops, and cookies, and we all unanimously enjoyed our desserts! There are tables in the front of the store, a comfy couch area in the back, and some outdoor seating. Overall, a great place to come with friends and catch up!

October 23/2025. 7:20 pm My wife and I got the original as always for years. My wife likes Almonds on hers . The nuts were beyond old and taste awful. My wife tried to bring it to the attention of the cashier that it does taste very bad and she would like to change it to the same original minus the bad nuts. The cashier started arguing that the company doesn't allow them to do that. My wife response was , no one can eat this . IT is plain BAD. What a joke . I've been walking by Menchies on Ventura for about 2 weeks now, never had the chance to walk in, but last night after sushi I stopped in on my way home and I am floored at how many flavors Menchies offers. The orginal tart blows Pinkberry's artifical flavor out the water and the Hawaian Deight is my fave!!! This place was spotless, friendly faces, and they even have a chalkboard and game to keep my daughter busy! From Pinkberry to YogurtLand to Menchies...I must say I am impressed and delighted and hooked on Menchies....This had to be the most clean and friendly Fro-Yo place I've been to..I was greeted at the door, even the owner came out and said hello and asked if I'd been there before. We love coming to Menchies in Encino. The frozen yoghurt is the best quality I have ever tasted, and the healthy fruit flavors are great for my diet. I usually take 2 to 3 samples until I can decide which flavor to go with. The staff are very friendly and patient with kids, and we even had a kids Birthday party here, in their party room. Everything went great. Toppings galore, reasonably priced, large parking lot, and always room to sit, inside or out. I am here at least once a week with the family. read more

Such a fun spot! The place is super clean, bright, and inviting. I loved that you can create your own yogurt mix and choose from so many toppings. Everything tasted fresh, and the self-serve concept makes it perfect for both kids and adults. The staff was friendly, and the whole experience was quick and enjoyable. I love taking my son here after his karate class at Dawn Barnes Karate Kids right down the street. Luca always enjoys picking out the toppings and yogurt flavor himself. As a customer who lives right down the street I would come into this location to get ice cream when I needed a picker upper, the past 4 times I've been here I have been treated very poorly by the employees when I ask the reasoning for their so called policies. This location has had an advertisement that when you purchase 2 scoops you get a free waffle cone. On one of the visits I was there intending to buy 3 scoops and I asked if I can get the free waffle cone. The employee said "No" and that was all they said. I asked why wouldn't I be able to take advantage of the offer and they said "it's only when you buy 2 scoops". I'm literally buying an extra scoop which cost more than the 2 scoops and I can't have the cone? WOW! hence that I was going to be buying 2 orders of the 3 scoops. I told them never mind and walked out. On another visit after that I went in and attempted to give this location another chance. I asked for my 2 scoops in a cup and asked to take up the offer of the free cone. The employee said "you won't be able to" and I asked why? I'm already purchasing 2 scoops!? They said that the scoops had to be in the cone. I find that reason to be extremely stupid. I explained to the employee that I was stopping by after work and the reason that I wanted the 2 scoops in the cup and the cone on the side was because I was going to put the ice cream in my fridge and eat it later. I was only getting it now because I was tired from the day and once I got home I didn't want to drive back out. It was info that I didn't need to tell them but I wanted to explain my thought process behind it. They still said no so I ended up purchase my own cone because I didn't want to get into it any further. Today I went in again thinking that maybe my visit would be good. I asked for two scoops and told them that I would be requesting that they can put the scoops on the cone but if I can have them put the cone upside down in a cup. The person said I still wouldn't be getting the cone for free. At this point I told them "I don't want it" and walked out. I rather walk out than say unpleasant things... I don't know what the deal is with this dumb policy. If you are advertising a free cone with a 2 scoop purchase then give me the damn cone, it shouldn't matter to you how I enjoy it! I'm already fulfilling the requirement. To the owner who I hope reads this... Maybe you should consider chatting with the team and ask them to not be so condescending for starters when enforcing a "rule". Maybe change that sign to say "with purchase of 2 scoops or more" or "2-3 scoops". Like you literally can be upselling an additional scoop(s). Until then I decided to boycott and no longer go into this location. I rather take my business somewhere else or just go purchase ice cream at the store.
