Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Was there last week, the girl who was working was talking on her phone. She came out of the back AFTER we waited at LEAST two minutes for her to ring us up. It made me mad but we decided to try again tonight. We walked in, the guy who was working walked in from sitting in his car. He saw us, the girl who was working also saw us and proceeded to walk to the back. We got our ice cream, went to the toppings bar and the three toppings that I usually get (Oreos, cookie dough, Reese's) were all out, along with SEVERAL others. We waited once again for someone to ring us up and they never came so we left the yogurt on the counter and left. I'll never ever be back to this location. read more

Came here on a Sunday for some frozen yogurt with the family. Two people were working both super friendly and eager to help us. Establishment was very clean and you could tell it was taken care of. Fun and creative little place! Big bonus points for being on the east side of the 5 off San Clemente. It has a plethora of toppings, although I wish they added more on the fruits department. There is good variety in flavors, but the quality is not as great as Yogurt Land. A personal preference: the tart is not tarty enough, but that's because I'm really picky with tart. Several customers while we were there were also turned away and not happy with this store/franchise location. We still love Menchies and will be supporting the location in Laguna Niguel instead. We are a family of five and my parents come over often, which makes us a party of 7. I was very eager to give this place my business weekly and for years to come since we live close by. Unfortunately, I will not be giving this place my business because the employees are so unprofessional, rude and incompetent. They are too busy talking to each other to help customers. They are slooooow, lazy, and have bad attitudes. I have called 3 times and left my name and phone number with a manager (aka a teenager) requesting the OWNER call me so I can express my concerns with how his staff is representing his business. I have never received a call back in 2 years nor have I ever been back. It's a shame since I was so excited when this place opened and we love fro-yo. Instead, we eat at Yogurtland and spend about $50-60 there. Menchie's loss. read more

So I grew up in San Clemente but haven't been back in some time. I decided to visit my parents last week and I saw this frozen yogurt shop below where my parents lived. I decided to go get a yogurt for me and my parents. When I got there the clerk who was an older man (didn't seem to be in a good mood at all) told me I get a free yogurt with the purchase of one yogurt. I looked down and sure enough there was a flyer that said free yogurt when you buy one yogurt after 9pm. This sounded great for me since I was purchasing 3 yogurts I figured I would buy one get one free then my girlfriend would buy one and get one for free so she could have one too, the clerk told me that he had already rung up the 3 orders and could not take one off (which I know is BS because what if I decided I didn't want yogurt any more? Does the store just have to shut down since they can't delete orders?) I explained this to the clerk and he said to me "sir there is nothing I can do, do you want the yogurt or not." I was shocked but there were people in line behind me so I just payed for the yogurt and left. I have never written a Yelp review before but this was so ridiculous over a yogurt that they were advertising buy one get one free, I just had to write one. Because of this experience don't think I will ever go back there and I feel management should talk to their employees about customer service. read more

Although I love the fact that you can create your own bowl with a wide variety of choices, either the taste is bland or some items are not fresh. I spent a whopping eight dollars on what I thought was a small bowl. I'm also pretty sure the marshmallow was off and it destroyed the entire bowl. I'll stick with Yogurtland from now on. read more

I love the different flavors and the toppings too. But the older man really seems miserable like he does NOT want to be there. The younger employees are all great. They know how to enter your phone # for points and they can honor coupons. This older man does NOT even know how to honor the coupons you so generously give out.
