We were greeted with such kindness and great customer service. The girl working welcomed us in with a smile and made us feel like we weren't inconveniencing anyone at all even when it looked like she was getting ready to close. We tried the Sandy Beach, Carnival, Strawberry Shortcake, and Cookies N' Crème doughnuts, and every single one was delicious! They were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The Strawberry Shortcake was a standout, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Great doughnuts and even better customer service. We'll definitely be back to try more flavors. These donuts are more like little cakes than traditional donuts--rich, fresh, and absolutely delicious! They also offer gluten-free options, which is a huge plus for my family members with celiac disease. While the gluten-free donuts aren't quite as spectacular as the regular ones, they're still fresh, tasty, and a treat that's hard to find. To preface, I've been here a handful of times now. So in general I'd say donuts are great, service is bad. On the various times I've come into the store I was never greeted. I've been wanting to try the other items on the menu, but I ordered a latte once (because apparently they didn't have any cold brew), probably wouldn't worry about ordering anything other than a donut because I waited about 15 minutes for a latte and was late for work because the kid making coffees was too busy talking to some other service cleaner behind the counter. read more

I have previously been to Parlor Doughnuts in Oceanside, so I'm glad they have a location in San Clemente now. Their donuts are freshly made, and they have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. I specifically decided to pick up donuts from here because they have vegan options, but they had already sold out by 8am. I got 14 donuts, but they charged me for a dozen and 2 donuts ($4.25 each instead of their advertised $3.25 each if you buy 12+). These donuts are definitely pricey if you buy them individually, so I would only recommend if you can buy at least a dozen to bring the price per unit down. Service was good; there were only two gentlemen working, and they were hustling. The floor in the restaurant was pretty gross; it was weirdly sticky. Parking was easy on a weekday morning but could be challenging during busier times. Raspberry pistachio is a must try!! Update: After stopping by the Oceanside location immediately after to pick up vegan donuts on the way down, I decided that I will just continue to frequent that location instead. The restaurant seemed cleaner, their donuts looked bigger, the prices were slightly lower (about 25-30 cents less per item), and the service seemed friendlier. read more

Came here early on Saturday February 9, 2026 for their grand opening and there was some hours mixed up on their app on which I didn't know until it was 8AM. I came here at 6:30 in the morning and saw that it was dark and the hours on the door says :30 on which I assume they were going to open at 7:30AM. I didn't complain at all, I walked here since it was only a mile away from where I was at. 7:30 AM came and nothing yet other than a Parlor worker waiting for someone to open the door. So I'm guessing probably 8AM was the opening time. Was it worth the wait? HELL YEAH!! I made a couple of conversation with a mother and daughter who also though they were opening at 7:30AM. I had to get these donuts again, I had them in Oceanside and used to love raspberry pistachio but this time I'm in love with the lemon bar. Got myself a half dozen since it was cheaper than getting just four donuts, plus it was for my staff at work. So happy that we have one here in San Clemente, which also means I'll be getting these layered donuts on a weekly basics now. WORTH IT! This is my third time here in 2 weeks. Came to get another taste of goodness, try something different, and support local. The peanut butter cup was delicious and decadent, cookies and cream, maple pecan and strawberry shortcake were all fabulous. I really enjoyed the vegan/gluten free chocolate base with Reese's peanut butter drizzle. A bit more dense and cake like, but really amazing! Lots of sweetness and indulgence. I was hungry when I got here. Its a steep walk up the hill from the pier. I ordered the Bostonone creme, and a chocolate chocolate along with a Cappuccino. These are some of the best doughnuts around. They are messy so don't forget napkins. Customer service is amazing. I never knew about the rewards program before coming here. This location is tiny compared to others but it's still the best doughnut shop around. read more

So cute, love the vibe of this little donut shop. The girl at the register was very friendly as well. We stopped to 'try' a donut before dinner, yikes. But I don't regret it. I'm gluten free so I really can't tell you what the regular donuts tasted like, but from what my family said, they were pretty good and they didn't last long. Mine, it was a gluten free blueberry with a white cake. It was good but a little crumbly, and I think the powdered sugar on top was a bit too much. Some people though like that so I'm not knocking it. I'd recommend this place, would love to see the succeed here in San Clemente ;) read more

Not sure who greeted us at the door, but she was very informative and sold us on trying the donuts. We tried the churro donut, and the cookie dough donut and both were delicious. My preference would be the cookie dough one, since I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon. But again, both were super tasty. These donuts are different than the usual ones, and I believe are more like cronuts (layers of pastry). If you're in the area, I would definitely give this location a visit. read more

First time at this donut shop. I have to comment on the customer service specifically. If you want to read about the quality of donut, check other reviews. Came here and paid for 8 donuts with my husband. I am 2 days away from my due date (SUPER PREGNANT) and very uncomfortable. I asked to use their bathroom, after buying the donuts. They said it was "out of order". I said "oh, where do you all go to the bathroom?" Then the group of teenage girls blankly looked at me and said they go next door (which was closed) or they "hold it". Clearly catching them in a lie, this was a really awkward moment. One girl offered to come outside and show me where I can go to the bathroom. That place did let me go without buying anything because they were empathetic and clearly had better customer service. Listen, I understand homelessness, non paying customers, etc asking to use bathroom and being denied. But to lie and tell paying customers (pregnant or not) that you can't use their bathroom should be brought up to establishment. IF the bathroom really is out of order, that is equally concerning, as you can't legally tell people to work full shifts without a bathroom. Extremely disrespectful. read more

Just passing through San Clemente and found this shop. They are known for their Layered Doughnuts, which are light and fluffy. They have a ton of flavors that will suit just about anyone. I got the Strawberry and it was delicious. A strawberry glaze and fresh strawberries on top with whipped cream. I wanted to try the Maple Pecan and the Cinnamon Roll, but will wait until the next time. read more

Hands down the best doughnut shop I've ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you can tell everything is made with care the smell alone is unreal. The doughnuts are perfectly soft, fresh, and packed with flavor without being overly sweet. Every bite tastes like it was made that morning (because it probably was).
