I used to be a huge fan of goop kitchen, especially the one in the South Bay Area. I don't know if it's a location difference or just quality hasn't remained the same. They didn't have the lasagna on the menu anymore. I did have the penne ala vodka again and it was the highlight. The fusilli was a regular pasta - nothing special. The winter squash pizza was average, lacking in flavor, but the falafel wrap I would order again. Located in a ghost kitchen, very limited parking spaces. Ordered the falafel wrap (herby aioli), chicken Caesar wrap (spicy caesar), and teriyaki salmon roll. Our salmon roll came super cold and the rice paper was hard- they probably premade this and just had it sitting in the fridge. Also, warning- none of these had sauce inside the wraps. They came undressed, basically just plain ingredients wrapped in a cold tortilla and the portion was much smaller than expected. I mean, you'll feel healthy and light after eating these but don't think it's worth going out of your way to get. Came in with low expectations bc we knew Gwyneth likes her stuff HEALTHY so we kinda knew they would skimpy with seasoning or flavor, wanted to keep an open mind, but it was disappointing after seeing all the positive reviews on social media. You can order here and wait or order on line and pick up. There is an on site order kiosk where you order and pay. Parking is a challenge. You will be locked in a mano a mano battle with other patrons and a host of Uber Eats and Doordash drivers. It's busy, people. It occupies a building with several other eateries. I got the Thai salad with chicken and Wifey got the Harvest salad. I gotta say, they were solid. Would get both again. I also got a Voss water which, according to Wifey, is the water of choice of Kim Kardashian. It comes in a heavy glass bottle. It says right on the bottle to keep it out of sunlight. I LOVE ordering from here. Food is so yummy. I ordered the chili today and if you haven't tried their chili yet order it ASAP. It's hearty, healthy and packed with nutrients and still delicious. All the toppings they give you for the chili make it really, really good. The combination of all the toppings go really well together flavor wise too. I love idea of adding cabbage so the chili still has that added crunch without unhealthy chips in it. I ordered a bunch of items including the tried and true pepperoni potts pizza - it was just ok today and I wonder if they changed their recipe or pepperoni at all - it didn't taste like it has in the past and the crust did have a crunch I'd gotten accustomed to. Everything is always fresh, quick and easy to pick up, and yummy. It's been fun going through their menu, I have a few repeats which have been made consistently each purchase. This makes each order reliable and trustworthy. One item has fallen off the ball for me, their beet side salad. It used to be a favorite for me but recently, the cherry tomatoes aren't tasty and the orzo is either very undercooked or in very solid chunks. I visited Goop Kitchen with my sister on a Wednesday evening. There's a small parking lot in front of the building, which is usually full, so we opted for street parking close by. There were no other customers when we arrived--only people picking up delivery orders to drop off. Been wanting to try this place for the longest time and so glad I did. I ordered take out and so impressed by the variety of gluten free and vegan options. It was pretty pretty quickly and arrived super fresh. Got the pesto pasta and the classic spaghetti (both gluten free and vegan) and I'll just say this; was the BEST pesto I've ever had. Affordable quality food. It was lunchtime and I wanted to try something new but healthy. My Bestie told me about the chicken wrap she had from this place the other day so I decided to give it a try as well as try a few other things that were on their menu. I ordered online and online ordering was very easy, but picking up my food was a little bit tricky. I'm not from around here and there's something called Costa Mesa kitchens where it's almost like a food hall and I was expecting there to be a sign that said goop kitchen, but instead there was just a counter in the front where your food was then held for you so apparently goop kitchen doesn't have a store presence, but they work with kitchens to make their food which is a very new and interesting concept for me. So after I figured out where to go, which was right in the front then I took my food home and I enjoyed every bit of it. The miso salmon was cooked to perfection. Although I did wish the salmon piece was larger. It looked like it was maybe Like three or 4 ounces but it did come with a lot of different sides. The salmon hand rolls were my favorite, so light and crispy and delicious. Japanese sweet potato soup was hearty but flavorful and they served it with roasted brussels sprout leaves that you can put on top which was really good. Then I had the chicken Caesar wrap that was surprisingly filled with falafel crumbles instead of croutons and there is a really nice sauce that went along with that. The total for everything came out to be about $60 for two people which isn't bad considering the quality of food that we were getting so I'll definitely be back for the salmon hand rolls and to try a few other things on their menu. read more

I thought I would try some things from the Goop menu including the fancy Mac&Cheese. Imagine my dismay to have received pasta so hard I spit it out in my trash and the white sauce it was swimming in. I expected more. I also ordered dinner for two with Salmon, broccoli and mashed potatoes and the only thing sized for two people was the tin of potatoes. Very disappointed in the food and would have done far better at Zinc. A real miss here for me and GP you should do better. read more

HIT OR MISS, BUT WORTH TRYING... worth the risk! LOL When it's good, it's really good, the flavors can be delicious and fresh! When it's not, it can definitely miss the mark. The bright side is that the staff always makes an effort to communicate with the kitchen and try to fix issues, which I appreciate. The Costa Mesa location feels a bit like a fast-food setup (similar to a Taco Bell model), more warming and assembling than hands-on cooking, but the ingredients themselves do taste fresh, which I love. The Manhattan location has an open kitchen you can see, but the process feels about the same. No real chef. Just assembly workers. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind: 1. There isn't much connection with the kitchen at all, and sometimes communication can be tricky when explaining problems like burnt pizza or hard rice. Call hours to the Philippines. Hi Melo and James! 2. The food presentation is beautiful, and I do have to give them credit , the eggs are cooked perfectly every time! Salads are decent. They may still be using seed oil tho. Plant based dressing usually are. NO real dairy dressings there. Personally, I've had mixed experiences with the wraps and pizza. 3 times it was burnt!!! On the other hand, their turkey meatballs are a consistent winner -- those are 5-star every time. I recommend ordering a few of those and skipping the stress! I got the sweet potatoes again and also tried the shroom shroom pizza and the roasted butternut squash, with a side of ranch and Calabrian caesar. It was all delicious!! There was an issue with my order so I sent an email to their team and they both called and replied to my email within 5 minutes! Top notch customer service, they really went above and beyond to 1. I ordered off of instacart, goop superfina by goop kitchen and I wanted Italian gluten free. This was by far the most delicious food I've had lately! They did the pasta al dente and it had such a delicious sauce. Everything was detailed on when ordering on the instacart site and they use all clean, fresh and gluten-free, dairy free, nut free for some orders just read it. The turkey meatballs were delicious as well and in a red sauce with some type of cheese. I did get the ceasar salad not pictured but they had two types of dressing to choose from and I must say the recommend one was delicious and lemony! I picked up dinner here because I've been wanting to try the famous Potts pizza. The pizza was $25 and came with 9 square slices. The crust was perfectly crispy. The pizza wasn't super greasy but it was lacking pizza sauce. We also ordered the spring roll salad. I was excited when I found the container large enough to shake in my dressing. The salad was made with very fresh ingredients. The mint definitely overpowered all of the other ingredients and it was lacking protein. Wow, Goop is delicious! So this is a cloud kitchen, you order and pick it up. The parking lot in front of the cloud kitchen is very small, just know that. Once you go inside there are a bunch of different cloud kitchens, find the Goop one and tell them your name to get your order. They package the food is a huge bag with the goop logo. There is no ambiance because it's pick up only, however, the employees are very nice. I ordered spring rolls with tofu, lettuce cups with tofu, potato pizza and spaghetti- everything was 10/10. I can see how it's strange to park and pick up food in the way this is set up, but it was super efficient. I don't mind that as much since it was so quick. I ordered the teriyaki bowl and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the marinade / teriyaki sauce that was used. The portions also seemed small at first but i did feel full once i was done with the bowl. Ordered through a place called Costa Mesa Kitchen. It's a concept that is designed with multiple business kitchens in one location for delivery or pickup only. We walked in to orders. We had to navigate thru a group of Uber Eats and DoorDash delivery guys to get to the counter. I thought pricing would be less than average "dine in" restaurants, I was wrong. It was above average price and the food quality was below average. With all the wonderful food choices in Costa Mesa, this is one we will pass by in the future. I'm so glad that they brought goop to OC! We used to drive to LA on a foodie run to get this salad amongst other restaurants. I typically get the chopped salad w/ maple vinaigrette, add chicken. Or is on the pricier side for a salad, but so work in my opinion. Fills you up big time. I love the flavors and the crunch. My only thing about this location is that parking is tight, and there is no seating. You can pick this up on the way to the beach though, and it would be perfect :) read more
