Tried Tender Greens for lunch. The menu looked great! Lots of different options with things like seared Ahi and Seabass amongst many other great things. I must say that the menu made things difficult to order because everything looked great. You can also see everything being cooked as you are in line waiting to order. Seabass was fabulous, along with the seasonal vegetables and faro salad. My significant other got the seared Ahi tuna, braised beans and the arugula salad. I was able to sample some of her meal as well. Everything was fantastic. They off a plate option where you pick your protein and two sides. highly recommended for a meal that's tasty, healthy and won't break the bank. I've been wanting to try this place for some time, but it's always super crowded on the weekends. Problem solved if you arrive before noon. There was no wait at 11am, plenty of seating, and the food came out promptly. Decent size portions and a good variety of salads, bowls, and sandwiches. It's flavorful and fresh, but don't confuse that for being "healthy." Most of the dishes are over 1000 calories and contain a lot of added ingredients and oil. The staff were friendly. I ordered the country fried chicken, the steak, and Agua Fresca at the register. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the atmosphere. The steak was pretty chewy and dry, and the country fried chicken was incredibly salty. Came in around 5:00 pm and there was no line. We had the Tuna Niçoise salad, Grilled Mediterranean salad, and a side of Chipotle BBQ Chicken. The salads were good; vegetables were fresh and loved the crunchy French green beans. The steak and tuna were cooked right, both had seared outer crust and had a reddish middle. Loved the capers and olive with sour and salty combination which went well with my Mediterranean salad dressing. The sea bass portion on the plate is thin and tiny. It's expensive for such a small piece of fish. There is also no flavor at all and doesn't taste good, very disappointing. Both side dishes are pretty good. I'd say the sides are way better than the sea bass. The portion of the siad dishes is bigger than the size of the sea bass. Gave an extra star because of the side dishes. The fish on the salad is also not good. The salad itself is ok. The food is healthy but if it doesn't taste good with small portion (especially the entree), it's pointless. I got hungry within 2.5 hours. read more

My parents have been loyal Tender Greens customers for years, but this was their last visit. They waited nearly 30 minutes for their food while customers who ordered after them were served first. The server admitted they made a mistake but walked away without fixing it. The manager showed little concern and offered no sincere apology. My parents, who are native Mandarin speakers with limited English, were the only Asian customers there and left feeling they were treated differently because of their race. So for the most part it tastes pretty consistent and standard. My husband likes to get the steak plate and it's pretty solid as well, though portions are also a bit small. There was no line when my wife and I placed a lunch order at 11:40am today. We sat at their outdoor tables and saw other customers who came after us receive their orders. I asked a server to please check on order and she said she would. She never came back. After 30 minutes after we ordered, I asked another server. After a while, she came back and asked us what we ordered. She thinks the line cooks lost our order. Unfortunately, this happened the prior time I came here, but thought to try again. Was having lunch with friends and they suggested eating here since there was both indoor and outdoor seating. This was my first time here. We wanted to catch up and not feel rushed while eating. We choose to sit outside since it was a nice day. You stand in line first to place your order and then you get a number stand and the staff will bring you your food to the table. I ordered the Cali bowl with Chipotle BBQ chicken and an agua fresca (which was Watermelon). Food came out really quick and it looked very nicely prepared and presented. The food wasn't horrible, it tasted fine but it was a little dry overall and the chicken did not taste like chipotle. I did enjoy the corn. Maybe its just my personal preference but I like my bowls more "saucy". I think if I come back I would order something else just to see if there is something else better suited for my tastes or make substitutions if allowed to the bowl. Service was great. Nice portion of vegetables, then the next time barely any veggies, with a "mix" mostly being green beans. Wow, where do I start. This place is located in the middle of a beautiful outdoor mall, and as soon as you walk in, you can see a large team working smoothly and efficiently. I first tried this spot a couple of months ago and instantly fell in love. Their mint agua fresca is divine. I usually stick with my go to order steak, crispy potatoes, and seasonal veggies. The veggies vary, but my favorites were the ones they had back in January. I really wish they would bring those options back because they added so much to the plate and were seasoned perfectly. I'm really disappointed with my recent order. I got the Pacific Bowl with katsu chicken, and what I received looked nothing like what's advertised. The portion of the chicken was way smaller than expected- honestly, it didn't even seem like a full chicken breast or maybe a single tender got lost on the way.    For the price I expect something much closer to what's shown in the photos, but this felt misleading and not worth it at all. Especially the take out, they give you two dressing containers and that takes up most of the space and means they will give you less sides and greens to accommodate those giant sauce cups. I appreciate the side of grilled garlic bread! It's a nice touch and usually well cooked! The greens drink is so tasty and makes you feel healthy BUT it's expensive. SERVICE// It's okay, sometimes you have to yell loudly to be heard over them cooking. But that's okay! Unfortunately some of our take out containers leaked, but not too bad. We ordered 3 dishes which means we should get 3 slices of bread. But we got 4 much smaller slices instead, which sadly means more crust and overall it was still less bread than if we got 3 regular sized slices. The first time I tried the salmon bowl and it was amazing - perfectly cooked and great proportions of the other items (sweet potato, rice etc). It's such a cute and efficient place. Four of us came in and ordered right away. People gave us a number for our order and brought food to us. Water, utensils, and napkins are self-serving. All the food are standard and tasty. I would say my favorite is the pesto chicken sandwich and the avocado toast. The place is busy, but people here are quick to respond and nice.
