The last time we ordered from a food delivery app. The coffee was very memorable and I finally had the chance to order in stores. The location of the restaurant is hidden with very limited parking. Once you get inside, it opens up to the service counter and ordering. There is a screen with the menu, however, it does not list any of the prices. I ordered the mini pancakes with strawberry, bananas, and whipped cream and the Dulce Leche drink. The pancakes were regular pancakes. Boring too special about them. However, the drink was delicious! Their drinks seem to be more popular because of the variety and quality. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is dine in inside that is tucked in the back of the place after you order. Seems a little run down, but there are tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They brought the food out to our table after ordering. The chilaquiles were very good and full of flavor. I thought I had added meat to my order, but it didn't come with it--no big deal, there's always next time! The mini pancakes were really good too. I wanted to try a new place to eat before work and came across Mendoza's Coffee. I took that as my mistake for not asking beforehand but I thought the portion size would justify the cost. Sadly, I didn't think much of the sandwich itself and think I was given a bagel instead of sourdough. Don't know if they own the food truck, but I can vouch for the coffee business as their breakfast food is superb, but this review goes to the late night champ. -Carne asada fries 6/5: Gotta get'em!!! Let's talk about a late night option that hits the spot. You're hungry, you get 2 tacos and an order of carne asada fries and you just paid $20 for it. It better be good right...? Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Fry selection, crispy with a light inner that coated with sauce and cheese will not go soggy. The tomato, onion, and cilantro smells and tasted fresh. Carne asada... el "sazon" is spot on!!! When I tell you that combinations of flavors hits just right. It's an understatement... mix in your choice of green or red sauce. It mixes perfectly with the crema they use. Definitely some of the best in town. Tacos: 5/5 Packed with meat, fresh veggies, as well as the right kind of flavor that's differentiated. They do it right! Priced spot on for the meal; it's filling, but good enough to make you go back for more. When you bite into the birria, it made want another one... which Is always what you want with your birria. The al pastor, it's got a perfect mix of spice with sweetness and a savory punch that makes you lick your lips. I highly recommend the coffee shop as their breakfast burritos are delicious, but if you're driving by and want something that'll leave you coming back for more... look no further. I've come here many times before but today was awful, we waited about 25 min for chilaquiles when we got our plates it was terrible not sure if it was because of their "$200" order they were working on but we got hard chips with over cooked eggs with sauce just drizzled on top. My kids and I made a special trip to Sun valley to visit Mendoza's coffee today. It has been awhile since we visited. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito. My kids already had eggs and bacon at home, but they wanted something sweet; they ordered the mini pancakes with lechera and caramel on top of their strawberry and banana, a piña colada smoothie, chocolate muffin and a Nutella hazelnut crunch frappe. I resisted the urge to have their horchata iced coffee. I was there earlier for breakfast and ordered a bagel, but honestly it was awful. It felt more like a lunch meal than a breakfast item. The service was okay, but they were a little slow considering there were only two of us there. The breakfast burrito was alright, but the price definitely didn't match the taste or quality. Ordered via door dash and food arrived still warm. Got a breakfast burrito with sausage and opted for the pickled jalepeno, which added more flavor than spice - i do recommend. Food was great. I was pleased to see there were real potatoes in the burrito, not fries, hashbrowns, beans or rice. You get plenty for the price and they aren't stingy on the meat. I love this coffee shop! The coffee taste delicious. They have a whole bunch of different coffee drinks but I stick to my fav. It's local and it's very convenient if you're on Sun Valley Blvd going into Reno, they don't have a drive-through, but they offer pick up orders so if you just wanna be in a out you can still do that. They are pretty quick with making drinks, I haven't one that's was mis-made once. Most lattes are still usually only $5.25! that's huge to me! read more

A small coffee shop/ cafe in sun valley. We are always in search of great breakfast burritos and this one did not disappoint. It's a walk up order counter with option to dine in the back room. They also had multiple other breakfast items as well as drinks but we took our burritos to go. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo and added pickled jalapeños. It's one of the best breakfast burritos I've had in a while. The wait was a bit but it was pretty busy with walk ups and online orders. Wow Mendoza's is quickly becoming one of my favorite coffee spots. They're located fairly close to my work, so I've gotten my coworkers hooked too. The building is a little hard to find (I feel like their signage could be better) but if you'll eventually find it. The front area is small, but they have seating in the back and even a nice patio area. Now their drinks are incredible! I love the Mexican flavors--I feel like it's truly a one of a kind spot in Reno/Sparks. Everything I've had has been delicious! I've driven by this little shop so many times and every time I think "I really want to stop in and try them!". Well, today was the day and it was amazing! Mazapan latte for me and Canelitas latte for hubby. Both were so delicious! These lattes are not flavored with syrups or fake flavors, they take the real deal cookies/candies and blend them up to flavor their coffee which is both delicious and brilliant! We also got pupusa's which were supper yummy. We got bean and cheese and mixed meat and both were so flavorful and cheesy. I really want to come back soon and try some of their refreshers! This is a great place to come for breakfast if you're craving some delicious HUGE burritos! I have to admit this is my first time coming here and it wasn't that far at all from Sparks. When I arrived there was only one person ahead of me and I got a look at the menu. I wanted a bacon breakfast burrito but it was sold out so I got two chorizo breakfast burrito's. I also ordered a cold brew as well. Then the server said we will bring it to your vehicle, I was like that's some great service lol. The burrito's are BIG, you can eat half for breakfast and save the other half for lunch. The salsa that come with the burrito is perfect! Not too spicy and not too bland but just right. Being a kid who grew up with things like mazapán, canelitas and horchata, I was sooooo excited to find this place and it's innovative spin on coffee. Ventured out to support local businesses and was overwhelmed with the amount of people lined up (outside with proper social distancing) to get their frapp on. But that's a great thing, right? The taste was sublime, we ordered a mazapán frapp and an horchata one. The only thing not letting me give them a 5 is that the drinks were a little too liquid for a frapp. I blame that on asking them to do one with no caffeine (9 year old) and one with light coffee (dietary restrictions). I love this place! They have a great selection of sweet drinks including fruity drinks, frappes and warm drinks. My favorites would include the champurado and mazipan. And if you have any questions about any of the drinks, the staff is really friendly and very accommodating. They now have a back patio which is great for groups! I used to just sit in a car with my friends. And if you prefer, they can have it delivered to your car. It would be dangerous to have a location in South Reno, because I might go every single day, but unfortunately this location is too far for me and I only go when I'm nearby the area. read more

The slap of nostalgia I got from this place was incredible. Growing up ganzitos where one of my favorite things to have as a kid. As soon as I saw that they had that flavor for a frappe I knew I had to try it. It was amazing! It tastes just like a ganzito. My friend got a mazapán frappe and it was delicious as well but it was heavy in flavor. She got tired of it with just a couple of sips and I am sure I would have to. I did enjoy the one sip I had from that drink though. It really does taste like one but it can get too much in my opinion. I also decided to try a pork tamal (not pictured) and I was not disappointed. I was kind of hesitant at first because of the price for one tamal but once I saw it I understood why it was that price. Not only was it massive but it was sooo meaty. The sauce in it was delicious as well and they provide a salsa on the side that goes very well with your tamal as well.
