I believe we have gone to all locations of Peg's throughout Reno. This is a great location to have breakfast if you have an early morning appointment at Renown in South Meadows. Especially if you've had to fast. I ordered the chili relleno skillet and my husband ordered the sausage and eggs plate. The food came very quickly and looked very appealing. My husband was impressed about the size of his sausage patty. I wasn't crazy about the scrambled eggs. There was just something about the texture, plus the salt shaker did not work well, and those eggs had no flavor even with the hot sauce. But there was so much more food to eat that I didn't worry about the eggs. The chili relleno was delicious. The beans could have cooked a bit more, they were a bit tough. There was so much food to take home that I actually had to use two separate boxes for mine alone. We were sitting very close to the bin where they dump the dirty dishes as they cleared the plates. This was quite annoying as it was very loud. Perhaps they should reconsider where they have that located. The cap on the pen my husband was given to sign the check was difficult to remove. As he tugged it off, the tip of the pen jammed into his finger and caused bleeding. He is on blood thinners so of course the bleeding was much more excessive than usual. I brought it to the attention of the server and she said she was sorry but didn't even offer a Band-Aid. He bled through the napkin he had plus more tissues when we were in the car. This was not ideal at all. I could've asked for a bandage, but she left so quickly after saying she was sorry that it was just a matter of getting out of there. I will say that the coffee was good. And they did a good job of keeping coffee in our cup.

I was in the area for an appointment and, of course, had to stop at Peg's for my must-have Loco Moco and Portuguese sausage. First time at this location. The food is usually always good at the Sparks location but the hamburger was a little tougher and drier than normal this time, otherwise everything else was up to their usual standards. We thought we were seeing double when we spotted our server, Neissa -- we're used to seeing her at the Sparks location. She was fast, efficient, and friendly as always, even with the late-morning rush. It was great seeing a familiar face.

I've only been to Pegs a handful of times but it has not let me down when i'm craving a solid dinner coffee and breakfast. The staff is also friendly and attentive and makes sure I have my coffee refilled. I definitely tend to come here when I am craving a Hawaiian style breakfast and this time I went I got the Loco Moco. Everything about the dish was well made with the meat and gravy being very savory and the eggs perfectly cooked. Of course it wouldn't have been complete without a side of spam. I went early on Saturday morning to it was very chill but I know they definitely can get very busy later in the morning.

Cailin B was our waitress this morning. Huge portions and cooked to perfection. My wife had the eggs and spam, my Brother in-law had the pork chops and eggs with macaroni salad, and I had a Denver Omelette, hash browns, and a side of a biscuit and gravy. Peg's Glorified Ham N Eggs is truly one of the best places for a very satisfying breakfast. You won't leave hungry.

Food was good although the hash browns were cold The service was very good helpful and friendly we enjoyed our waitress. Atmosphere was dinner like somewhat cold and lacks that home town feel. Although it was very clean and roomy. I almost forgot the biscuits are without a doubt are delicious

Went back to Pegs and I am continually impressed. The service is always fast and friendly. Your order always comes out quickly and coffee is constantly refilled. The ambiance is great with friendly conversation nearby at all tables. There are many smiles on faces on the tables around you constantly. The portions on the food are big and the flavor is just as big. Anytime you're in the mood for good service and great food make sure to visit Pegs off South Meadows.

I've been coming to Peg's for a good while now- so long that I've lost track of exactly how many years. *Portions are generous. *Service is always friendly. *Fresh-squeezed orange juice is a game-changer. *One of the best loco mocos in town. *An epic huevos rancheros served in a huge pan - fun and delicious. *A simple menu that has everything to fulfill your breakfast cravings, with a touch of aloha and spice for the adventurous eater. Spam and chorizo, anyone? Did I mention their burgers? There's always that one burger person in the family, right? The one who can eat a burger anytime of the day? Yep, Peg's has them covered too. Peg's is a solid spot in Reno for all things breakfast, and the best part? It's local. Heads up: They're consistently busy (which keeps the turnover fresh, btw), so plan accordingly when you visit. Notes * Plenty of free parking available. * Their hash browns are great, but I find they're often served a little warm in the middle. For that reason, I like to request them extra hot. * I got to chatting with a worker on one visit, and he shared how much he enjoys working at Peg's - a good sign of a great place. *Their Monte Cristo sandwich is not deep fried, but delicious nonetheless. Think a French toast sandwich with powered sugar and jam (trust me, ask for extra).

Hadn't been to this Pegs before and since it was conveniently across the street from where I was heading thought I'd give it a try. Service was quick and staff was friendly and attentive in asking if things were alright, if we needed refills and if we needed anything else. Place was open, bright and clean with lots of dining. I've been to a few other Pegs and there has always been a line or some sort of wait to sit, but this was a week day and off hours so it made it perfect. Food was right on point, sausage was a bit spicy but not over the top and was crispy. Definitely a good spot for breakfast at any of the ones I've tried and has been consistent on items at all them too.

My sister and I rarely get time off together, now-a-days, so we usually like starting our mornings by sharing a meal together (customarily breakfast). My sister's first choice is consistently Peg's because she's always in the mood for SPAM. We headed to Peg's South Meadows Parkway location and they were busy as usual but since there were only two of us and it was a Friday morning, the hostess found us a table quickly. We ordered coffees and iced water to start and then my sister ordered her SPAM and (over-medium) eggs while I opted for the Island breakfast with poached eggs. As crowded as the restaurant was, the service was efficient and fast; our food arrived at the table with lightning speed and was expertly prepared. We both heartedly enjoyed both our meals and the portion were generous enough that we had plenty of food leftover to take home. I only have one critique with our most recent experience there: I found it odd that each time we thanked our server for each thing she did whether it be dropping off drinks, our food, clearing empty dishes or refilling our coffee cups, she answered "yes". It was a strange response; but other than that, we had a positive dining experience.

Everything was delicious here at Pegs Glorified. The service was great friendly and fast will be coming back! The ambience was great too plenty of tables with visibility of the kitchen. I really like that I feel as it you were at your own house.

Had a quick trip to Reno to see family and stopped by Peg's Glorified Ham and Eggs. There are several locations in Reno so we tried the South Meadows location. Visited on. Saturday morning during the rush and was able to secure a table for 4. Our server was quick to take our drink order and provide the breakfast specials. Several great ones to choose from hotcakes, omelets or even burgers for those non-breakfast types. Menus was reasonably priced and from looking at other tables portions are healthy. Food was served very quickly as well as several coffee fill ups. Every thing was exactly what we ordered and seasoned perfectly. Restaurant was very clean and tables were serviced quickly. Great experience and recommend anyone in the area give them a try.

When in Reno this favorite spot is a must! The food is amazing and the service is always great. We ordered an omelet and waffle and they were both outstanding! The omelette is fluffy and full of flavor. The waffle is perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Prices are just right too.

Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

We found parking right away. We noticed the large banner outside touting best burgers. Was craving fish and chips, buttttt decided to go with a burger. Ricardo was our server.. we were greeted as we were stepping through the door. Told to take a seat anywhere. Ricardo recommended "any" burger with a smile. I asked whether I should order onion rings or fries, he said order the Texas Toothpicks.. Combo of beer battered onions and jalapeños. Ok let's do this. Richard's must have checked in on us 5-7 times during our meal, great service! Actually we had an entire conversation about his service, friendly, efficient, quick, chatty, and gets the order right! Order Bloody Mary served with banana pepper, green olive and lime.. no salted rim, which is fine, missing salty component for me BECAUSE I LIKE SALT... Drink was GOOD. Bloody Mary and Corona brought icy cold within two minutes. Jalapeno burger and fries son loved his burger! Son felt his burger had appropriate amount of salt and great char crusting. Garlic butter burger and Texas Toothpicks which is beer battered onions and jalapeños. In my opinion this burger starts with the bread.. Delicious soft bun that actually fits the patty. The patty had a nice sear on it, it was under seasoned and almost well done. The burger was lacking salt component to complement the garlic. Had the burger been seasoned, and had I have ordered it medium rare, (my mistake) it would have been really good. The burger did come without condiments which I appreciate because I can put my own in appropriate amounts to my liking. I added a pinch of salt, no complaining and we were good to go! I didn't even eat 1/4 of my food! The burgers and portions were HUGE!! The Texas Toothpicks were really good, a good fry was achieved on them. They held up to being dipped in ranch. 1/2 order hot wings and fries The wings were ordered breaded and hot. They had a good crisp, and were fried appropriately! Good amount of salt. The fries were served super crispy, piping hot and perfectly salted. The order came with carrots and celery without having to ask. Ranch.. Ranch is a serious condiment in our household with food like this. It was good. An appropriate amount was served with wings, and of course for us fries and ranch go hand in hand. The restaurant was clean, all staff was friendly and great service!!!

They did my over-medium eggs perfectly, and the brisket was nice and smoky and also surprisingly lean. The braised greens on the side surprised me a little with the flavor at first--I thought it was a bit too salty, but the tang seemed to come from like a vinegar flavor or something, and it kind of grew on me. Went pretty well with the other parts of the meal. I have to admit I was a little surprised the biscuit was a bit dense and dry--still tasted fresh/made, just a bit off in terms of size and taste compared to the rest of the stuff on the plate. We also got the beignets, which came with a nice bourbon sauce, but sadly a few of them weren't cooked all the way through. The interior was very bright (lots of windows) and clean, and the service team behind the counter was very pleasant. Also, I thought the price was fantastic for the special--like $14.95-for a very satisfying and overall well-made meal. We'll be back to try other stuff on the menu.
