Delicious coffee and friendly service! It's our last day on the island and needed a little afternoon pick me up after a morning of snorkeling. We stopped in right before closing. They were happy to take our order, super friendly and gave us great suggestions on their specialty coffees. My husband ordered a hot Big Island and I ordered an iced Honu. Both had a full bodied smooth Kona coffee flavor. We also shared a thick, soft chocolate chip cookie that topped off our afternoon treat. read more

We only stopped here after visiting St Benedict's Church 'cuz we were starving. And Yelp reviews showed 4 stars. I would reluctantly recommend this ONLY if you've never been elsewhere in Kona for the traditional Loco Moco or Kalua Pork dishes. Disappointingly, their dishes are mediocre at best, for their prices. read more

Loved this little cafe. We got the recommendation from the guys at the Big Island Bee Farm and it was great. The service was great and the had the windows open so you get a nice breeze sitting in there. We went back for a second time. Had the Kahlua pork with cabbage and it's enough for two people. Well.... small little local place with AMAZING burgers that apparently noone has discovered because it was not busy at all. They told me the beef was locally grown when I raved about its flavor. Great food and service! We stumbled across this spot on our way back from the black sand beach. All the food was warm, delicious and filling. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and a pork sandwich. Both were excellent. The smoothies were refreshing and delicious. Coffee drinks were prepared with care. The staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. We stopped here by happenstance while we were driving through town this morning. It wasn't busy but there were several other tables filled when we stopped for a late breakfast. Both our waitress and the woman who delivered (and I think also cooked?) our food were so extremely kind and helpful! We ordered the Fried Rice Omelette, the Breakfast Sandwich with Portuguese sausage, breakfast potatoes and a few different kinds of coffee, all of which were incredible. We sat at a table in the back by a breezy open window and it was perfect. We were so happy to find this hidden gem (hidden to us at least since we weren't looking for it!) ALSO we mentioned today was my husband's birthday in passing when they asked us what else we had planned for today, and they gushed over him and gave him a free sweet birthday treat! Stopped on day 1 for coffee - The Big Island made with coconut milk was excellent and the Castaway was a big hit as well. On day 2 - coffee again, so good! Also had breakfast: 2 egg breakfast with Spam, Veggie omelet with no cheese, breakfast burrito with a spinach wrap and 2 egg breakfast with bacon. All were deemed to be very good and cooked well to order. No wait on breakfast and staff was very friendly. Right on the highway, so very convenient on way around the island. read more

We came here because it was advertised as vegan and gluten free options and I have a ton of food sensitivities so we figured they'd have at least gluten free toast however there were only 2 gluten free options some little coconut bite and a coconut cake. No gluten free bread and the gF pastries were out when we came in at 10:30 am. I had been really looking forward to this place. We still stayed to eat due to the super sweet staff. So tropical smoothie was bomb Cappuccino was pretty good Blended coffee smoothie was pretty good with almond milk Food though was all Luke warm Both omelettes were on the cold side Loco moco was lukewarm Nachos were a few beans on soggy chips got the veggie option with no meat and no cheese. Would not suggest it the guac was a tiny little side and minimal veggies on it I hate leaving bad reviews however def would only suggest coming here for a cute quaint coffee stop. If your expecting vegan gluten free have other options avalible. They did have oat almond and coconut milk to make vegan coffees. read more

Wanted to try as many Kona Coffee cups as possible during my big Island stay and found this place. I had Americano, since it can taste Kona flavor the most. It was really good. Also the owner (probably) was very nice and gave me the ice water in glass even I just had a cup os coffee. read more

We stopped in for some kona coffee and ended up sitting down for a meal. We were so glad we did, since we ended up having one of the best loco moco we've ever had. They asked us how we wanted the burger. We asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. They also offered to have it over fried rice or plain rice, we opted for fried rice, but it probably was not necessary since the gravy was so delicious and flavored everything. The loco moco was then topped with an egg and fried onion strings. The dish was definitely big enough to share. We also got the coconut macadamia scone. Worst service ever. When we arrived there was a sign that said please wait to be seated. Once we were seated the waitress walked halfway to our table to announce that we go to the counter to order our food and drinks. She was too lazy to walk an extra 6 feet to take our order even though the place was empty and there was two waiters there. They are suppose to be a restaurant but the food came in a to go box. When I asked why we couldn't get it on a normal plate they said the dishwasher was broken even though they still had to wash the cutlery. If you want very expensive to go food then this is the place for you. The fish and chips was over $23 and they're giving it to you in a to go box? Quality has gone downhill as well. We stopped here for breakfast after visiting the nearby National park, everything was exceptionally good! The cold brew coffee was so smooth and tasty, my veggie omelet & my husbands pulled pork omelet couldn't have been better. The warm flaky, gooey cinnamon roll was as yummy as it sounds. : ) Our server was friendly and efficient. Next time we are in Kona we will be sure to come back. On a less fun but important note, their covid precautions were excellent as well. There is another outlet of this company in the King Kamehameha Hotel in Kona, great coffee but not sure if they serve full meals there as well or not, looks more like a to-go spot. read more

Originally we were going to go to the Coffee Shack but after seeing the wait we decided to go here instead and I am so glad we did! We had planned on going somewhere else for breakfast and they ended up being closed so we stopped here and we were soo happy the other place was closed. On yelp it looked like just a coffee shop so the food far exceeded my expectations. The Loco Moco is BOMB! Absolutely delicious. Really enjoyed my breakfast burrito. Crispy waffles. Delicious biscuits and gravy, top 5 sausage gravy and my husband is a gravy connoisseur.
