7/30/26 So much spam even after it has been reported and still nothing other than go to the spam palace to stop getting spam. Did that. The results.... Looks like they may top out at close to 15 spams today I am at 14 now and that is close but still some time to get a last one in. So 14 or 15 roughly twice an hour for spam. They do not even offer a cook book to take care of this overwehelming sludge of spam spew. So... I go with the intention of finding a shirt and pants for a dinner party and I leave with much more. As I walk in, a sales associate immediately finds me and asks how he can help. I tell him, and he takes my measurements. Then he goes off and begins choosing items that I might like. I end up in a dressing room trying out a shirt and pants. I come out to a pair of shoes, sports coat, winter coat, and belt. Oh, and let's not forget the hankie and socks. Everything fit well and the accessories looked great. I bought it all. Honestly, the best part of my experience was the sales associate (sorry, forgot his name). He somehow knew what I would like and picked it out. He anticipated my needs and saved me so much time. Toward the end of October, I was scheduled to be the best man in my brother's wedding .. Little do people understand not only is this an honor but also a job ... As I was nearing the deadline to get my suite fitted I was freaking out and was hoping I had enough time to have it fitted and shipped with time to have any alterations made. If I didn't call in for an order update, I would have never received anything. Communication is non-existent. Once I got the measurements in again, it's like they totally disregarded them because everything fit poorly. Also since the order comes in 2 days prior to the wedding, there's barely any time to correct. Came by this location to pick up the remaining pieces of my wedding tux. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by James Larsen, the assistant manager. James was the absolute man! I told him that my wedding was two weeks away, and he immediately ran around the store and gathered every piece to complete my tux. Given the circumstances since COVID, a lot of items were out of stock or on back-order. That didn't stop James from ordering them from the wearhouse and making sure they came on time with express shipping. He even sat on the phone with MW customer service to make sure a promo code came through. He kept his cool as the waiting music kept on playing and sparked up great conversation. This place really made me feel like an important customer. Just like he promised, my items arrived 2 days later at my apartment. Incredible! read more

Jackie did a great job is helping my husband chose a suit for his grandfathers funeral. Prior to arriving the MW, we made a call to them for an appointment the next day. We had a budget in place for $300. She said she was able to accommodate him and would pull a couple suits out for him. When we arrived, the suits were ready to try on, which was fantastic, especially after a frustrating visit at Nordstrom's...Remarkably, they were able to tailor my husbands outfit the SAME day!! Downside, we spent $618 - added belt $42, shirt $40 suit ended up being $380 + tailoring....Joy! BUT - minus the frustration of having to do your own search. Was it worth the extra unanticipated $300+? No, not really. I know suits can run much much higher than that. But that's not our budget, sorry! But shame on us for last minute shopping. read more

Could not have had a better experience at the N. Michigan Ave store. My teenage son needed a suit, his first. This is a kid who lives in athletic apparel. I was dreading the experience. Immediately upon entry to the store a salesperson asked if they could assist. My son is at an awkward size: long and very lean. Our salesperson guided us to a more contemporary line, which was also 30% less expensive than where I was looking. We found a suit, headed to the fitting area. Tailor came out and was great. i rented a tux at a Pittsburgh location for a Chicago wedding. When I picked up the tux, I discovered that the Pittsburgh crew had gotten just about everything wrong. The crew in Chicago were great and managed to get everything reordered and fixed in a very short time. it is highly recommended opinion that you Never go to a Men's Wearhouse to buy or rent a suit or tux. For that matter just don't walk in the door. Otherwise expect disappointment It's no wonder this company decided to file bankruptcy. I am guessing that it won't be long before they file again and eventually close up. So I experience that they don't care about the customers I don't know the pricing. For the most part, is it sure we are beneath them unless we're spending $500 or more? While visiting the downtown area, my boyfriend and I went to this location. He wanted to purchase shoes. Upon opening the box to wear them when we got to the hotel, he noticed that they didn't fit as well as he thought. We also noticed they looked a bit worn. We proceeded to return them the next morning. The staff member who waited on us was highly rude and aggressive and became very confrontational with us when my boyfriend asked for a refund. He was very accusatory, as he interrogated my boyfriend several times, asking if he had worn the shoes. Although I never said anything to the staff member, he began to look at me and proceeded to yell at me asking "how can he put these on the shelf again". Note my boyfriend had only purchased the shoes the day before and my boyfriend had never worn them outside. My boyfriend explained that to him several times, however the staff member refused to listen to him. He refused to give my boyfriend a return and only gave him an exchange. His name was "Michael R." As a Chicago native and a patron of many restaurants and stores in the downtown area, I have NEVER came across someone as rude as Michael R. I am completely disgusted with how he articulated himself to us and I am in disbelief that he thinks that it was okay to talk to anyone the way he spoke to us. The entire time I did not say one word, although I was tempted to ask Michael R. to stop talking to us like that. However given his aggressive tone, I did not want to escalate anything at the time. Unless you want to be berated and treated horribly, I suggest never going to this Men's Wearhouse location. If I could give this rating negative stars I would. I will be following up with the store manager and corporate because a person with an aggressive and threatening attitude such as Michael R. should not be in customer service. read more

Let me start off by saying this place is a joke. The service is horrible. When I first walked in I was semi-greeted by a lady at the front and she not so nicely directed me to the rental area. The guy helping us out in the rental area seemed to not want to help us. We paid about $800 for our several tuxedo rentals for the wedding we have coming up. All we had to do was get two more of my guys fitted so that's what I came to do. Fast forward a bit and the man helping us became nicer. Later on some guy with his son walked in (I believe the son was trying on suits for prom). Our sales guy walks over to the lady to ask her to send someone to help them out because he was already helping us out and it was seeming rude to toggle between the both of us but the lady told him "donations aren't really a priority". When the other salesman saw that I was listening, he stepped in and said he would help the man and his son. *next day* the bride for this wedding calls into this location to try and pay ahead of time for more tuxedo rentals we will be needing. The lady on the phone, Megan, picks up and is rude to the bride. The conversation is being thrown in a loop and she simply doesn't want to help. Megan forgets to hang up and the bride is on phone listening as Megan is laughing and making fun of the bride and her questions she had and how she said certain words wrong. The bride was pissed. Called back. Told Megan she heard everything and then asked to speak to a manager. The manager was kind and helped out the bride on the phone. read more

I've generally had good experiences with MW. You know what you're going to get--decent but not great clothing at a solid price (via "sales" that exist almost 100% of the time). No issue with the chain generally, but rather this specific store. Put simply, it was some of the worst customer service I've experienced at a retail outlet. I explained what I needed: a tux shirt, cufflinks, and a bow-tie to wear for a black-tie, out of state wedding the next day. It was clear from the outset that none of the salespeople were actually listening to me. They measured me a half neck-size bigger than I've ever measured, so I asked if I could try the shirt on. Staff refused to let me, instead pointing me to a generic "sample" shirt that was dirty and not even made by the same manufacturer. I tried it on and, shocker, it was gigantic. The salesperson, flustered and rushing me, tried to assure me it was fine. I asked again if I could try on the -actual- shirt, and was refused permission. He tried telling me that I could tailor the shirt. (Again, showing that he ignored the fact that I was going to a wedding the following day.) He then passed me to another guy who tried extremely hard to get me out of there ASAP. He picked out three multi-colored bow-ties and the first two shirts he saw, ignoring prettymuch everything I said that I was looking for. I wound up buying the stuff anyways because I was in a huge rush. The bow tie had a snag in it and the two "free" button downs didn't fit. (I had no choice but to wear/keep the baggy tux shirt.) When I returned the two shirts I hadn't worn, they again tried convincing me to tailor the them. (Because yes, it makes sense to pay $20 to tailor a $40 shirt that you've yet to buy.) Less pushiness and more listening would go a long way, and to be clear, I've had far better experiences at MW stores elsewhere. Just never coming back to this location. read more

Waited over an hour for a tux order that never even happened. * Upon arriving, there was a single rental person working with a couple on wedding arrangements * 20 minutes in and knowing they were short-staffed, one of the retail salespeople (Napoleon) went outside his normal duties and offered to at least take my measurements prior to meeting with the rental person. He was the only bright spot in this whole experience. * After about 45 minutes, the rental rep finally started inputting my measurements, asking about style, store delivery location, etc. and then told me someone would help with the final fitting process. * At the one hour mark, a guy comes over and announces that due to an emergency delivery, the rental rep had to leave. I was provided the paper with my measurements and a number to call to place the tux order. In summary, I wasted an hour of time and Napoleon was the only person hustling at this store. Recommend you steer clear of renting here as there are plenty of other options in Chicagoland and online. read more

I bought my tuxedo from Men's Wearhouse and received great service in choosing the tuxedo, as well as making the alterations to fit just right. This store is incredibly busy, but once you are able to work with an employee they give you their full attention. Saint took his time to help me, even as I asked 100 questions. When he wasn't there the following trip when I went to purchase a vest, Jeremy gave me just as great a service. I would certainly recommend this store for your next suit or tux purchase. read more

Some good and some bad with my experiences, but overall I have a good impression of the store. Needed to get a new suit as it had been some time and nothing fit anymore. While perusing, Linda came over and ended up being the employee who led me through the entire process. I have to give her credit as she is great at what she does. When she brought over some shirt and tie combo suggestions and I said I had a similar tie, she didn't harass me to buy it anyway. Same thing when I declined to look at the shoes. Not pushy at all and that goes a long way with me. I needed the suit tailored within 5 days for an interview and she said she'd get it done. When I returned later in the week, MW was a ghost town. I'm guessing they load up on employees over the weekend and run a bare bones staff during the week. I needed to exchange my shirts as they were too small and the gentleman at the counter was a bit shady about it, claiming they usually don't accept them back and it'd probably have to be damaged goods. Nowhere in the return policy does it say anything about a shirt that's been unpinned, just if it has been washed or not. They had not. The exchange was thankfully accepted. When I tried on my suit again, none of the tailoring work had been done. The gentleman was highly apologetic and promised it in one hour, which was fulfilled. Not a huge deal since it all worked out, but inconvenient nonetheless. Tl;dr - Good location, not immune to problems but they were quick to resolve them. read more

My fiance and I just went here to get tuxes for our wedding party. We had a discount for signing up at a Bridal Expo and wanted to take advantage of it because.. well, why not? RJ helped us, and he was absolutely amazing! He offered his professional opinion, which was great because we've never done this before. He was very helpful and answered any question we threw at him. Overall my fiance had a good experience with this Men's Wearhouse location. We went in person to register for him and the four groomsmen and were given great customer service. Only complaint was that the assosciate seemed unsure of some of the pricing for the suits and accessories in the rental packages. A few weeks later we saw discrepencies in pricing and were told by groomsmen it was more when they went to pick it up. After I found my wedding dress at Davids Bridal I received a Men's wearhouse coupon for the groomsmen rental packages and we called to see if they could honor the coupon after registering, which they did. My fiance called Megan Taylor and she was extremely patient, knowledgable and helpful with accomomdating our desire for changes. She provided excellent customer service and made the whole process very easy. Because of her we are extemely please with our Tuxedo rental packages for our wedding. read more

I am currently undergoing chemotherapy and steroid treatment which led to weight gain. The associate named Saint insulted my physical appearance and said I need to "lay off the beer and carbs". I don't drink, and I do my best with my diet. Not only that but he was pushy like a used car salesman. Kept insisting on hard selling styles I did not like. Probably trying to move hideous merchandise that nobody else wanted. Said my opinion doesn't matter he is the artist and he will show me what looks good I will like it. I used to sell menswear, and have a flair for fashion, so I don't need this guy telling me I don't know anything mens suits. He was good at dispensing insults. Don't waste your time here. Go to Macy's or some other place that doesn't insult and body shame customers. I miss their old CEO, it's been down hill since you forced that poor man out. read more

I had lost some weight (maybe 10lbs) but absolutely no way I could've gone from a size 40 waist to a size 34 waist in a month! They also forgot to give me part of the wedding outfit again. I would give a zero if I could. This location has a manager and employees who lie and accuse their customers of "misunderstanding". My husband and I came here and dealt with Demetrius. He promised us things when we set up the deal, he said things were approved with corporate. Specifically he approved two incentives for the large size of our bridal party. For our wedding the pocket square color was wrong, thankfully the ALGONQUIN men's warehouse saved things the morning of the wedding. They said Demetrius entered the wrong information. Thankfully I checked my brothers tux. We had to call Demetrius twice before the wedding to adjust the dads tuxedos because he did not input what we asked. Then after our wedding we went to redeem our incentives and were told he never got anything approved. Even though at the time he bragged about how great he was getting us both incentives, which we didn't even know about without him telling us. We were told he never inputted the information. The Clybourn location called his store, he said the original conversation never happened. We misunderstood. Then spoke with his manager who defended him and told us we were wrong. My husband used direct quotes and Demetrius was unable to respond to him because we were right, if he was wrong from the beginning and couldn't offer two incentives, admit that! Don't lie or accuse your customers of lying. Cathy at the Clybourn location called corporate and they approved the two incentives immediately to fix the situation that Demetrius caused. Thankful for Cathy at Clybourn and the ALGONQUIN employees. But I would not recommend Demetrius or north avenue men's warehouse to anyone ever. Terrible experience, terrible customer service. My wedding day the men almost didn't match, our dads tuxes were almost wrong, and he accused my husband of being a liar and being confused. Not the experience you expect for your wedding. read more

It's fast, efficient, and reliable. They will try very very very hard to upsell you so you need to be prepared. The customer service was very very meh. The salesmen are not invested in you and will basically walk away for another customer when you're there, but they do deliver fast. My reccomendation is to be prepared and to give yourself as much time as possible when your items arrived because some of it was not fitted well and needed adjustments. read more

Erika, Assistant Manager, was amazingly customer-focused - best service I have ever received, period. in May of 2014, while on a business trip to Chicago, I purchased two Perry-Ellis Portfolio suits and never got around to getting them altered. While preparing for a business trip in May of 2015, I noted the suits, with the tags still on, and decided to bring them with me. By this time, however, I was half the man I was in 2014, so I need some MAJOR alterations. I found my receipt from 2014, and was disappointed that the return policy was within a month, however, I thought, nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I took my suits, and my receipt with me to the store. My premise was to keep the suits, but see what they could do to alter them for my now smaller frame. I would have paid any amount to ensure a good fit, but when I tried them on, it was very clear that no amount of altering would make the suits look good. In fact, Erika recognized the need to exchange the suits, and without hesitation, found two identical suits in the right size. At the end of the day, the only alteration needed was hemming of the pants, which took ~20 minutes and was completed before I even had a chance to get the staff, and myself, a cappucino from Starbucks. I used the suits immediately afterwards for my business meetings, and I dare-say, I looked great! Easily, the store could have stuck to their store policy which would have left me with two useless suits, but in providing the exchange, and ensuring I left happy, I would highly recommend this particular store to any friends, or colleagues that want 5 star service for the low-cost / high quality) products. read more

I called the corporate office and they said I could return all of my suits and exchange them for new ones at the discretion of the manager. They put me on hold and in a few minutes they told me to go in and see Jimmy the manager. He approved all of my returns without question or hassle. A little while later Linda called me. She was my sales lady. She apologized and told me to come in and she will get everything ready for me. So I went in today and picked up 6 new suits in the correct size. They gave me an upgrade on one of the suits to a more expensive suit with a vest. Everyone was very helpful. From the time I called the corporate office everything was handled very fast and without any issues. Well done and thanks goes out to Jimmy and Linda. read more

Reserved tuxedo shirt online and got an automated email they would contact me within two hours. No follow-up so went in-person the next day. They indicated they no longer had the shirt in store, but assured me they could have it arrive to my residence on Friday. Come Sunday: still no shirt. Called multiple times, transferred to multiple people, and disconnected twice. Finally, MW said they could have another shirt sent to the store for pick-up Monday, which is tight since I leave for a wedding in France on Tuesday. Come Monday and I go back again in-person: second shirt is indeed there, but they cannot give it to me until I return the first shirt (that has not arrived!). I attempted to explain how this wasn't possible multiple times, and just got blanks stares. So...off to France I go with no shirt for my tux. Thanks Men's Warehouse! read more

I went in here because I was in the market for a custom suit and was immediately helped out by a younger man. Once he heard I was interested in a custom suit, he brought me to the assistant manager, Russell. Russell, was great at explaining my options and agreed that for my build a custom suit would be best. He put me in a few off the shelf coats and showed me where alterations would make it look better. I didn't purchase the suit yet, but I appreciate the help and measurements he provided me so I can return in the future. read more

I am a repeat customer at this location. Do NOT use the tailor (Glen) at this location unless you would like a half-crapped job and to be swindled. The first time I had to get a tuxedo tailored he told me it would take 3 weeks (knowing that I needed it sooner than that), he then asks you to "take care of him", a very strange practice for a retail store, and will get it done quicker and since I needed the tux tailored before the given date, I obliged. It was also the worst tailored suit I'd ever had done for me. I went back to the store to pick a suit up for a wedding party and brought my pants elsewhere to be tailored but unfortunately their tailor was on annual leave. I reluctantly brought back the pair of pants to be hemmed and was informed it would take 12 days...for 1 pair of pants to let a seam out...I was then told that if I took care of Clever Ole' Glen, he could have the pants done by "tomorrow"! Clearly very busy. I will not be returning to this location because of this, I've never dealt with anything like this in a retail clothing store before and this seems like a fairly standard business practice here. read more
