This is a review of the rental process. We have not yet gotten a tuxedo here. We were helped by Eli. They were very patient and gave us our choices. We were interested in a Calvin Klein tuxedo. There were a surprising number of options given that this is a rental tuxedo. We were happy to hear that the rental was for a week. We found out that if you come a couple of days prior to the event, they can make small adjustments to the sleeves and pants of the tuxedo within a few minutes. If the fit is really off, the company will send a replacement that day if it is before 2 PM and the next day after that. The tuxedo can be shipped to any Men's Wearhouse so you might not have to check it into a plane if you are there a few days ahead. The return can be done at any Men's Wearhouse. They are open on Sundays until 6 PM. They rent the whole package. Shoes are included in the price. We did see a man trying on his rental tux and he and the tux looked good. read more

My fiancé and I visited Men's Wearhouse to shop for his wedding outfit, fully prepared to make multiple purchases. We understood the store was busy and waited patiently. However, when a sales associate finally approached us, the interaction was uncomfortable from the start. He avoided making eye contact with my fiancé almost entirely and directed nearly all communication to me, despite my fiancé being the one shopping. My fiancé is Mexican, and the difference in how we were treated was noticeable and deeply disappointing. When we asked about a shirt color that wasn't in stock, instead of offering alternatives or helping with the many other items we were ready to buy, he quickly told us to go to a "sister store" down the road. There was no effort to assist or engage. The photos we showed had the shoes, belt, and pants we were looking for. He was dismissive on even helping him get pants. What stood out most was not just poor service, but the clear feeling that my fiancé was not being treated with the same respect or attention. As his future wife, it was upsetting to witness someone I love be dismissed in front of me. We did visit the other location, where the associate was kind and professional, which only highlighted how unacceptable our initial experience was. Bias -- whether intentional or not -- has a real impact. People deserve equal respect when they walk into a business, especially during important life moments like preparing for a wedding. I hope management takes this seriously. read more

Throughout my entire life I have never had a worse experience with any retail store. I am getting married this weekend and am not going to have my expensive custom suit in time, despite ordering it 2 months in advance, because of several mistakes made by multiple employees of this location. I was mis-sized, orders were not placed despite reassuring me that they were, timelines were missed which I was told over and over again were "guaranteed", and the store neglected to follow up on the orders when they were delayed past the expected date. This is not an isolated incident. We have 9 people in our wedding party wearing suits. Every single one of them, across 5 Men's Wearhouse locations, 3 different states, and 10+ employees, has had issue after issue, including but not limited to: - 3+ hour wait times despite the store not being busy due to assisting customers which came in later ("coincidentally" only affecting people of color in our party) - Employees outright lying about available stock - Wrong items being entered into the system after spending time carefully picking them out one-on-one with the employee who entered them in - Insisting that the wedding party group doesn't exist in their system at all, then magically finding it after hours of pushback - Selling items in the wrong color, omitting them, or even selling a difference item entirely, despite specific item codes being in the wedding party group - Employees actually CHANGING the items in the group after half of the party bought theirs, for no reason and without telling anyone To reiterate, THIS WAS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT. This was numerous employees at several locations, and across everyone in the wedding party visiting multiple times, there was some kind of major issue nearly every single time someone went in. There is no possible way that every one of those employees was incompetent or careless; there's no-one to complain to because there's no individual at fault here. This is a systemic issue, and I'm inclined to say that Men's Wearhouse as a whole is straight up unreliable at best, especially for time-sensitive events like weddings. As of right now, I don't have a suit for my wedding which is in 5 days from today. I wish I could say something like "I'll consider changing my review if they can make this right" to hopefully grease the wheels a bit, but truthfully I don't think I actually would. The reality is that regardless of what happens now, Men's Wearhouse has permanently lost 10 people as customers, and that's what we're telling others almost every time the wedding comes up in a conversation. read more

Received my boyfriend's suit, and everything was there. However, the customer service sucked! The lady that was helping us seemed to be more interested and the young folk that were in getting their suits instead of focusing our business. The experience when returning the suit after was no different. The same young lady didn't even welcome me back into the store, didn't even greet me, didn't say a word to me other than scan the barcode, and gave me a receipt. They definitely have some customer service problems. read more

I actually like Men's Wearhouse I actually like Men's Wearhouse, got great service a few years ago at the Lynnwood WA location, had a suit custom made, Jos Aboud to be exact, & since then my portly body became 'more portly' & now I now live in Sequim WA. Portly is a disease that progresses with age so now need the suit altered to fit. Nearest MWH is in Silverdale but they lost their tailor. Next is Tacoma which is almost a 2 hour drive. Called, explained my situation needing major alterations, confirmed the need for a timely service & the distance. No problem, come on down. Upon arrival, explained reason for the visit THEY explained to me, "cannot do the alterations unless the suit had been recently dry cleaned &, no, they wouldn't cut me any slack. 4 hours wasted because the associated from the phone call didn't have the presence of mind to mention their hard fast rule. Should I blame the employee ??? Yes, a little BUT shame on MWH for not properly training the staff. I hate to drag the other stores down, but this is the only way to get the message across to management. Bet they won't take the time to respond to me, BUT, if they do I might add some stars. read more

I was super nervous to go in and get fitted for a tuxedo for my wedding (I'm a woman). Jonathan was so incredibly helpful and professional! He didn't make anything awkward, helped me find a gorgeous suit, and gave me lots of tips on style. We came into men's warehouse attempting to get suiting for two people and after 15 minutes without a greeting I finally tracked down a salesperson with an attitude. After continuing to search with no help, we had to get ourselves our own fitting rooms, and waited at the register for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to check us out. In the end, we ended up walking out, not getting anything. This is not the experience I've had in the past so it was really upsetting to be treated in this way. Moral of the story. This is my first Men's Warehouse experience, and my impression is that it was a lot smaller than I was expecting. My husband and I wanted to look for suit options for our wedding (we're COVID married, but now we're having a wedding for friends and family). We wanted to look at burgundy and navy suits, but they didn't have very many options. There were no burgundy suits available, which I can understand since we visited during the summer but burgundy is more of a fall color. However, there was also a very limited selection of navy suits. The sales associate who helped us was very friendly and helpful, though. We found a navy suit which we liked (not well enough to get it), and he suggested that we take a picture of the tag so that we can find it at a later time if we do pick that suit. My impression is that they change their stock regularly, so if that particular jacket was changed out, they would be able to order it for us, which was nice to know. read more

I went in for a simple purchase of a vest. After learning that they were all near $100 or much more I asked where to find cheaper options. After being told there weren't any I said I could find many for around $30 online I was told "then go buy it online!" I explained I needed it the next day at which I was told "then you are going to pay for our convenience" with great arrogance. I walked out and will never go back. read more

I had the best experience at Men's Wearhouse in Tacoma this afternoon after going to about four other clothing stores at the Tacoma Mall, near the mall, and in Silverdale where the sales person didn't know what I was looking for or the store didn't have it, or it was too expensive. In contrast, when I arrived at the Men's Wearhouse in Tacoma, Eli took about 30 seconds to walk me to a rack with the exact color slacks that I was looking for to complement a blue blazer then John quickly measured me and will have my slacks altered later this month. All of this was for under $100. This was an outstanding experience and reminded me of the Men's Wearhouse I used to routinely shop at in another state. I have found a new home. read more

I'm a trans-masculine person, so shopping for a suit is usually pretty stressful. Brooke made my experience super comfortable and got me fitted with a sharp suit to fit my budget. Horrible. Do not use this location. My husband's tuxedo measurements were completely off and it ruined our wedding day pictures. Because of that he was not comfortable or felt his best on our most important day. If you need to get measured do not used this location, I am warning you now. Our groomsmen that used the Auburn location all came out perfect but this location, horrible and I wish I did not trust them especially when I had already read bad reviews. After reading the reviews I was a bit worried to get a tuxedo here for my teenage son. However, we had a great experience. I mean, the prices, ouch, even for an average quality tux for a kid, but I had already called around and wasn't off from the average price. I can't remember the gentleman that helped us but thought he did a great job. Even suggesting items I may be able to find at a better price elsewhere (the accessories we needed). We ended up buying slightly larger, as recommended, so my son could grow into it and hopefully we get a couple of uses out of it since he's a growing boy. The items were altered nicely and before their estimated delivery date. We're happy with the service and purchase and would go again. read more

Such a great experience from the moment I walked in the door. Jaylin (Not sure on spelling SORRY) stayed with me the entire time and really helped me select my entire outfit for my aunts funeral. I thought I'd be here for a whole but I ended up getting in and out in less than 45 minutes. I am so grateful for his help and his friendly attitude. Sent to the main store!!! All the Employees were great. However, I ran into some issues with my Tuxedo. I was told to pick up the Tuxedo on Oct 1, which was a Friday. I explained that Friday was the only day I could pick it up. I believe my son-in-law got his email on a Monday that his Tux was in the store. I never got one, so I called on Wednesday. They said relax it will be here. I called on Thursday, and it was not there. Jennifer (She was great) ordered me another one, and I picked it up Friday. I am not sure what happened, but the pants barely fit. They were extremely tight. The shirt was so freaking huge that I could not wear the bowtie. And the kicker is on Saturday in the afternoon, and I got an email saying my Tux was ready for pick up. Yeah, that was when I could not pick up, and I was the chef for the rehearsal dinner too. I am assuming that they gave me what was available but did not equate to my size on the reorder. Anyhow, I am extremely unhappy with your service. read more

If I could give this store a negative review, I would. It amazes me that a company that operates like Men's Wearhouse is still in business, although I do understand they are one of the very few in the market. My husband and I enlisted the business of MW for our wedding. From start to finish, the process was miserable. The staff is not trained, and aside from one gentleman and one woman, extremely unhelpful. My husband's suit was the last to arrive before our wedding (I mean, how does that happen?!) and the clerk made a comment that it always happens that way. News flash, MW - you may want to ensure that the groom's suit arrives FIRST. I mean, he is the most important guy that day. Second, they wrote down measurements wrong and my husband ended up needing to visit the MW location three times in the three days before our wedding...ridiculous. It should've been an easy pick up, and it turned into a huge debacle. Next, and this one is amazing, the staff across the country who measured our groomsmen were unable to comprehend that we had two men with the same name on our order. We ended up paying for an extra suit, which then had to be refunded...and again, measurements were wrong for multiple groomsmen. We had several other incidents with MW happen over the course of our wedding planning, but this review would get entirely too long and repetitive. So, I'll say one last thing... I will NEVER recommend the Tacoma location of MW. Service is terrible. Process is terrible. They were the only vendor in our very large wedding that caused us a headache. Unacceptable. read more

Great service and suggestions by the experts and answered questions I never knew I had. Quality for the price is much better than express and Nordstrom. Beware, they are sneaky! I came in for a special promotion "Buy one Suit, get one Free", and made this clear when I arrived. Lester showed me a few suits, landed on two to my liking and then got measured for alterations (hems, etc.). He then rang me up for both suits. When I pointed this out, he said "Oh, these suits don't qualify for the promotion". Sneaky and horrible of him to have not brought this up, until final point-of-sale. I calmly replied "Ok, I'll take just one, this one". Lester then rang me up for one, but made a big deal out of my not having bought both. I was bothered by this, but let it slide. When I got home, I learned that he had (sneaked) in an alterations charge that was false: $10 for a a "superseam" pant crease, something that was not requested, not ordered, not MENTIONED at any time ... and something which I knew nothing about. Overall, I spent about 45 bucks in alterations, over half of which was either piled on, added without my knowledge or consent, or just plain snuck in at point of sale. I did not make a big deal of this, just a mental note to find another branch next time, and to STAY AWAY FROM LESTER. The redeeming value of this (Tacoma) branch: the Alterations department is very good and Customer Service is outstanding. I'd encourage others to bring suits & slacks here for alterations, but not for sales. If you must buy something here: 1. Ask for somebody other than Lester, and ... 2. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTs before you leave the store. I've since, been to the Puyallup branch, where the shop is nicer, cleaner, better selection, where the sales floor is honest & professional ... and where I'll go from now on. read more

I'm quite puzzled about the poor reviews this Men's Wearhouse has received. I've been buying all of my business, and much of my nicer casual clothes from here for over 5 years, and I've never received the poor treatment that several other Yelpers report. I've always been greeted promptly upon entering by associates who've always been able to quickly help me with whatever I'm looking for. I am tall-ish (6'-3") but not overweight, and they always have a decent selection of clothing that fits me. While their price tags are normally somewhat high, they are almost always running some type of sale or have an internet coupon that cuts costs to a reasonable amount. The trick here is to wait for what you want to go on sale, then to buy it. I appreciate the service and selection that this store has. read more

The one star I give is a courtesy to the salesman I met during my first MW experience 6 years ago. Since then, I have had nothing but insulting experiences with the company. I understand the employees are salesmen, but I don't recall rudeness being a part of customer service. Each time I've visited, it went down like this... First, I get greeted politely at the door and they ask how they can help me. Next, when I say I'm looking for a suit, they offer me the most expensive ones. I understand, they want commission. Finally, when I tell them a smaller budget, they instantly become disinterested and rush the process along. Maybe it's shame on me for returning over and over again, but it certainly explains why this store has such a terrible rating on here. I have since taken my formal-wear business to Macy's and Nordstrom, and found the basic customer service I deserve. My advice to potential customers is stay away. Don't form a relationship with a fake, pretentious store. My advice to the store is learn how to treat customers. It's not difficult. read more

The salespeople were professional and the selection is fine, but I've had a lot of other issues. 1. The salesperson said once I spend over $500 with the membership club, I'd get a $50 Gift Certificate. I have not seen this yet (I went over $500 about 3 months ago). 2. My friend is renting tuxes there for their wedding. After my $30 discount, the price came to $185. I thought $115 was high for the last one as I'm accustomed to $80-$100. When I mentioned to the lady that the price is high, she gave a slight laugh and said "yeah...". 3. They demand the tux back the day after the wedding (after $185...they should be somewhat lenient) They are also associated with David's Bridal. David's bridal charge the bride in the same wedding $300 for some hemming. My wife and I just got married and she had more hemming and additional beading done for $80 and we were married 6 months ago. I will never suggest either place to a friend, in fact I will suggest they stay away from both places. read more

We are big fans on the Men's Wearhouse in Tacoma. Eric was super friendly, helpful, and patient as we selected my fiancé's tuxedo, and his groomsmen's attire for our wedding. We are getting married in Texas, and they made all the arrangements to have the tuxes available there in time for the wedding. Additionally, my dad recently surprised us with gala tickets a month before the wedding. Torey and Kim took care of us after we called to see if we could have the same tux rental for the symphony gala, available in Texas as well. No problem for this team! Thanks Torey, for making it happen! They even kept us updated on our groomsmen so we don't have any last-minute surprises. Great team, wonderful customer service. Highly recommend this location. When I visited this store the woman "helping" me gave me one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. She was obviously paid on commission, incredibly pushy, and constantly making rude comments if I didn't like what she was showing me. If I had time to shop elsewhere, I would have told her off and walked out. But I will NEVER return to that location. EVER! read more

My boyfriend and I went to Men's Wearhouse to buy him his first suit to wear to my holiday party. Brett helped me right away and we started by narrowing down what type of suit to buy. We next went to go look at shirts and ties and Brandon was extremely helpful helping us narrow down shirt, tie, and accessory combinations. Brett also helped my boyfriend get fitted into the perfect size suit while Brandon and I looked at countless combinations. We ended up leaving with an entire outfit for my holiday party and were extremely pleased with the service. Brett and Brandon seemed genuinely excited to help us out and gave so many good tips. Rushed! Emphasis on buying that second suit. Sales associate was not happy that after 5 minutes I asked for his card and I told him 'I was not ready to commit to buying a suit.' We took my son here to get a rental for homecoming. The guy who helped us was worthless. I'm so glad I had my husband with and he knows things about tuxes. The guy didn't help us at all, my husband basically did his job for him showing my son styles and colors. After I told my son several times we need to stay neutral the guy had the audacity to say while going over the agreement "this is why I encouraged you to go neutral" as if he did anything! In fact he was sighing in annoyance and rolling his eyes several times during our visit. read more
