Came here for dinner with a work group as we are from out-of-town. So glad we picked Merwin's Wharf for dinner. We were able to sit outside and catch the sunset plus we got a view of the boats as they made their way in and out of the Cuyahoga River to Lake Erie. I opted for the walleye dinner. The fish was very good! I love crispy food and this dish did not disappoint! This is definitely on my list to revisit!

I made awkwardly long eye contact multiple times with the manager and several servers before I finally waited over 15 minutes and had to go to the bar to ask to order. The restaurant is ice cold inside. Everyone is wearing their winter hats and jackets still. My campfire mule was delicious. Marshmallows toasted atop a sweet boozy drink! They have basically glorified bar food here- Handheld sandwiches with long forms of those as entrees, some salad and the basics- onion rings, sweet potato fries, empanadas, taco apps, a random assortment of fried stuff basically. The short rib sandwich left off the horseradish cream entirely so it was quite a dry shredded beef sandwich on sourdough toast. The sweet potato fries weren't bad at all but nothing to write home about. The onion rings were meh. Overall kinda crappy food with bad ambiance in a super dark restaurant at 5pm. Pass!

Stopped at Merwin's Wharf on a day off that we took to go see the Murakami Exhibit at the Cleveland Art Museum! Merwin's is minutes from downtown and offers outdoor, riverside seating!! I had a flight of beers featuring a few new offerings from the ever popular Fathead's brewery and a bacon cheeseburger to go with them! They were quite busy for a random Tuesday at 1:00pm, but they were staffed up and our service was excellent!! Check it out!!

My family went here on a Wednesday for lunch. We had a great experience to say the least! It was a beautiful day so we asked to sit outside when our server asked preference. The outside patio area was gorgeous and the patio umbrellas were perfect while we were eating! The view was great too. We all split the Crab Cakes and Fish & Chips as our meal. This was a fantastic meal and the crab cakes are to die for!!! I highly recommend taking a visit on a nice day & sit outside for a great lunch/dinner!

Very nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and they work quickly to get you your food/drinks. My salad and drink tasted good. The best part was the huge pretzel.

It was busy without seeming crowded. The space was spacious, well decorated, unique and made good use of space. The bathrooms downstairs were artsy and in good taste! Menu was kind of limited but I have a feeling they try new things all the time so it was exciting to pick from. Too bad they ran out of some things when we went. I ordered the fried chicken dish which was fried to perfection, well seasoned and paired interestingly with pickled veggies. The portion was tiny but on par with something I would expect in a place like this. I also ordered 2 oysters for $9 which were the tiniest oysters I've ever seen. Sure, they were good but I would not get them again. My girlfriend ordered a canned non-alcoholic drink for $6 (way too expensive for a soda!) and the brussell sprouts. They were good but there was only 4 of them! Our server gave off a "I'm too cool for this gig" and dismissed my order when I asked for the chicken. He recommended the lamb which uh, was almost 3x as expensive as the chicken and not something I wanted as a light late dinner after a show... My friend's SIL worked here so she was warm, welcoming and gave us a great seat. So yeah, it's not the best restaurant in Cleveland or anything but there is something to the hype and if I do get the chance, the brunch looks amazing!

The facility is far bigger than I thought it would be. They have a central restaurant with multiple party centers on either side. It's a really BIG facility. New, modern, and quite attractive. With plenty of convenient parking. The wall of the restaurant that faces Cleveland Hopkins Airport is all glass. It affords you quite an impressive view of the airport and the planes landing. The staff we met was pleasant and efficient. Our server, Mina, did an excellent job all night. If there was a weak point, it would be the food. It was not bad (I'm trying to be kind); it was just uninspired, limited, and not really well prepared. Because they do not offer bread for the table our only option was to order the "Soft Pretzel". It arrived badly overcooked, crunchy not soft, and even boardering on burnt. The charcuterie board was OK, but uninspired. I ordered the "Lemon Chicken" which was a full half chicken in a reasonably good sauce. But the meat was dry and it came only with brussel sprouts (yuk!). My wife had the "Walleye" which she simply said was "okay"... oh well. Our guests weren't any more impressed than we were. I will say our coffee and "Pot de Creme" were very good... thank goodness. All in all, our overall experience was "meh"... just "meh". Sorry - really probably should be 3.5

We dropped in for Happy Hour, looking for cocktails and a few bites, and were immediately struck by the well-appointed space. The runway views at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport added an unexpected layer of entertainment--watching planes take off and land while toasting 14 years of marital bliss felt like the perfect backdrop. We started strong with a French 75 and an Old Fashioned--both expertly crafted, but that Old Fashioned? Smooth, balanced, and memorable enough to set the tone for the entire evening. Wednesday happens to be Wing Day ($2 whole wings), and we took full advantage. We sampled Buffalo, Sweet & Tangy BBQ, Lemon Pepper Dry Rub, and the undeniable star of the show: Garlic Parmesan. Each had its own personality, but that Garlic Parmesan was simply elite. Service was impeccable--Emily was attentive without being intrusive, making sure our experience flowed as effortlessly as the cocktails. Speaking of which, round two brought a Cosmo alongside a repeat of that Old Fashioned...because when you find the right note, you stay in that key. For food, we shared the French Dip Baguette--shaved prime rib, provolone, horseradish aioli, and au jus done right--and paired it with the Mega Crunch Fries, elevated with sea salt, rosemary, and a light truffle oil drizzle. Simple menu items, executed with intention. We closed the evening the same way we began--together, with one final round of Old Fashioneds. A Happy Hour well spent. A celebration well honored. A 14-year journey still taking off.

The Rowley Inn is located in a nice neighborhood (Tremont) across the street from the Christmas Story house. I had three meals there. The first, loaded pierogis, was the ultimate comfort dish. Pierogis with potato centers were covered in diced kielbasa, bacon (yes, bacon), and covered in cheddar cheese. Ahhhhh. The others at my table raved about the kielbasa and pierogi dish. They also liked the beer selection. How do you know you have a great find? You think about the meal long after it is consumed. Next meal- breakfast. I had the kielbasa and pierogi omelet. Need I say more? Finally, we came back a third time and I ordered the burger. No burger place (save Chuckbox in Tempe, AZ) can match the Rowley burger. The burger is actually seasoned and cooked to order. I had it medium rare. Sheer perfection. Typing this review makes me sad because I live far away from Cleveland. I've been to nice steak joints that don't know how to cook a steak medium that consistently throughout. My initial water glass was cracked, and a decent chip in the top almost cut my lip. I brought it to the servers attention and she replaced it. And, I also ordered an Arnold Palmer, which never came. Had it not been for those oversights, it may have been a five star review, which is a definite rarity for me when I've tried "Triple-D" locations. Usually I leave disappointed.
