I have been going to Mesa Spa for about four years. Yes, they do collect the money first but SO DOES EVERY OTHER MASSAGE SPA. I have found almost all of their masseuses to be competent and have a good knowledge of how to give a strong massage. Alice was great but now she's gone. Wiki gave me one tonight and she is not only strong and skilled, she's very very sweet. She pampers you and treats you special. I have never been harassed to give more of a tip. Wow. I drive past this place after work since it's by my houae and was having very bad back pain. Saw this random place and got a 45 min massage with jack. It was AMAZING. Could not be happier with the massage I had today. I've been going to another spot in the area, but lately it's been hit or miss. I found Mesa Spa on Yelp this morning and read the rave reviews about Daniel and Mike. I ended up doing a walk-in because I assumed two popular masseurs would probably be booked. I like a LOT of pressure, I usually opt for deep tissue but today I decided to try a cheaper foot massage since it was my first time here. The space is clean and the beds are comfortable. They divide them with curtains so you have some privacy. The guy I got gave me the right pressure and asked me to let him know if it was too much. He also worked all my problem areas without me having to direct him. He even did some things that a chiropractor has done to me in the past. He really knows his stuff! At the end I asked his name, and lucky me, I happened to get Mike! Found my new massage place! Will be returning and bringing friends in the future!! read more

I have never written a Yelp review, I simply don't take the time to do so. However, this experience was so fantastic that I have to sing their praises. Hands down the best massage I have ever received. The location leaves a little to be desired but the massage for than makes up for it. They used up all of the 60 min and really did work on my body. They used techniques I have never seen before in order to be able to apply the appropriate amount of pressure and work out all my knots. Absolutely phenomenal. I instantly bought a 3 pack for more. This is by far the best deal in town!!! My favorite therapists are David & Cindy. I go here at least once a week & I'm so greatful this is so affordable & the quality is top notch. I recommend this place to all my friends & sometimes we book the entire room that accommodates 6 people for a massage party before dinner. They are always great about accommodating my scheduling requests even at the last minute. I have been going here for about a year & a half & everytime has been great. I don't believe they're going to be asking for tips for extra tips. I don't believe they're going to be talking through your services or getting up to help other people while they are massaging you. Went there a couple of times. Both the times I had mediocre massage at best. I went for full body massage - 60 minutes. Did not get feet massaged, calf muscles massaged. Most of the time it was just a rub down kind of massage. I specifically asked for Deep Tissue massage. Since I have been to many Chinese massage centers all over the country [Seattle, San Diego, new York, Houston and so on], I am aware of "Traditional Chinese style of massages" - lack of English skills for a masseuse was not a big problem for me. As long as they do what I request them, I am fine with it. Last night experience was also not the best massage.. and not the worst massage. Cleanliness wise: room was okay. bed/massage table was unclean / sheets seem to be not washed properly. Masseuse took 5 minute breaks.. not just to bring hot towels to wipe out the oil. But at the end of the massage, when I gave her 10$ tip over 40$ massage, she was not happy - she asked for "more tips" :-) Anyways -- I will keep exploring more Chinese massage centers for my neck and shoulders. read more

I went to this location with my husband and we both received the 90 min foot and body combo. I thought the massage was nice but could have been better. They started in a large room that was pretty open. B/C they speak little English it was impossible to tell them what you wanted. She did have translation app which was nice. The harassment regarding the tip sealed the deal and I will not be returning again. They practically followed me out the door. I also felt that her rubbing in my genital area was not cool. read more

Very unprofessional. My father gets massages 2-3 times a week, because of a back problem. We were very happy to see a Mesa Spa opening near our home. He just got back. They were going to have a great client in him until he had to deal with their service.. He paid $40 for a massage and tipped $10, OVER 20%. The woman replied that she usually gets $20 not just $10. So, I called asking for the manager, just to politely say that didn't seem right but when I called the same woman answered and I asked for the manager she said, "I'm busy, talk to you later" and hung up. Mesa Spa lost a great potential client. And btw, why does their ad say "Pretty Masseuse"?? Kind of shady. read more

Seems to me the only issue here is the pricing. After reading the reviews, I knew I was going to be expected to tip $20, which is fairly normal for me if it's a decent massage...and I certainly got my money's worth this trip. My masseuse was Xixi, and she did a phenomenal job! She was able to isolate all of my troubled points without any direction and do whatever she did to make the pain go away. you decide: they charge up front. they do not ask what type of massage you want. they do not ask about trouble areas. they do not instruct you when you get to the room. they do not leave a sheet for you to get under. (had to find one) the first thing the therapist did was remove my sheet so i was naked. ( i don't really care but not professional) then she rubbed around a little bit for 5 minutes mostly my butt. i finally had to say, you know it's mostly my neck and shoulders and i would like a deep tissue style. then she started rubbing everywhere with no thought or progression. she kept massaging over bones with her elbow. my opinion is they have no idea what they are doing and maybe it's not only a massage place... i told her to stop and got up and left after 20 minutes. read more

We booked a 1 hour massage. The therapist answered her cell phone 3 times during the massage, left the room 4 times and was gone for at least 10 minutes (yet 10 minutes weren't added to the hour). The massage was just ok, seemed rushed. Definitely not relaxing, and more distracting and uncomfortable. Definitely didn't leave a tip. They also make you pay before the massage, which is unusual... probably because they can get away with doing a crappy job. read more

I just went to the Mesa Spa for the first time. There's a masseure named Mike whose massage was heaven on earth. Since it was my first massage there, I booked for an hour only. I'm going back soon for 1.5 hours with Mike, as he made my back feel considerably better. Also, I love the relaxing and clean atmosphere. Mike was really nice. I felt totally comfortable and left feeling way better than when I arrived. As long as he's there, I'll go back again and again. read more
