They were really good in the past, but lately they have been so cheap on everything! I have been going to this location for the last 3 years and never seen this bad. Delicious tacos! They're tacos are reg size tortilla. The carne asada had so much flavor and didn't have any fat in the meat. The al pastor was also good, but there was some chewy and fatty pieces of meat that I couldn't eat. The green salsa is good (mild spicy) and the pico de Gallo was my fav! The horchata was delicious! The safe is incredibly nice and friendly! The location has a dine-in (8-9 tables), take out, and they also deliver. They have two large TVs which makes it feel a lot more cozy. I'm sorry to say that while the food is excellent, they are not taking the pandemic seriously. We order from here all the time and I usually just run in and pick up my food. Today, however, was a spur of the moment decision as we drove past. My girl and I went in and ordered and as we were waiting for our food, we witnessed the kitchen staff either with their masks under their nose or under their chins while they prepared our food. To make it worse as they were rapping and bagging or food, they were laughing and talking over it. Then another customer came in with no mask on whatsoever. They served him without telling him to go get a mask, while there were other people standing around with their masks on. Sorry Meson but you just lost a customer. read more

This place is incredible! I have yet to taste anything on the menu that I don't like. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. What a find! Finally, a nearby taco spot that makes the meat how I like it... CHARGRILLED (yum). See, there's a difference between grilled and char-grilled. Whenever I try a new taco place, its so disappointing when the menu description indicates char-grilled but its actually a flattop griddle where the prep person is using a couple of spatulas. Not here. And, I actually didn't see it advertised, I just went there based on Yelper's reviews and took a chance because the stomach beckoned. Thanks Yelpers. My family and I either order delivery or come to eat here at least twice week. This is by far the best Mexican food in the area. Food is good. Service is decent but their delivery driver could be friendlier. Restaurant is average looking but clean. Parking is easy and available most of the time. Prices are fair. The food here is really good I've had a little bit of everything here plus their beef soup (caldo de res) is delicious especially on those cold chicago days. Grew up in Elmwood Park. Went to the original Maria's when it was the best. Had a craving for Caldo. Called Maria's. No Caldo Da Res or Pollo. Searched this area and found Meson's. Caldo' s on the menus. Good reviews. Let's go. Only reason 4 stars couldn't dine in. Ordered Caldo Da Res and Caldo Da Pollo. My dinner guest could decide between corn or flower tortillas. Staff recommended to mix and match. Excellent recommendation. 20 min wait for Caldo Understood. So walked down the block to Napoli's. Closed as my timing always. Hey, There is George's Bar across the street. Had a couple beers , really nice and clean bar with gaming. Picked up food to go and thought it was awesome. Guest is looking forward to leftovers for tomorrow. As I look at the menus and reviews looking forward to coming back and trying a bunch of stuff.... Not sure who has Margarita's. I have to say that I made my way over to this restaurant because of my daughter. I always thought well it must be another taco joint. Since I'm a meat lover I went for the carne asada dinner and im glad I did . The smell and the explosion of flavor that I had on the first bite was outstanding. The steak had a wonderful char on it and was juicy and tasty the rice was great and the beans had a smoky taste so good. I have been a chicagoan all my life and have visited numerous Mexican restaurants and I have to say dammmm so good. The inside of this establishment is clean, great seating and plenty of free parking either on the main street or side streets. Safe neighborhood no riff raffs hanging around. Let me say I had my second encounter with the delivery service and I was surprised they were faster than a Jimmy John commercial freaky fast . Delicious! It was a Friday night and it was almost closing time. The staff was so nice they welcomed us and didn't rush us or our meal.
