Great menu. Lots of good things to try. Busy. The cooks really cook a lot of food. Service is friendly. The way the food is cook has not always been consistent. Sometimes the beef is a little tuff and sometimes the chicken is cooked to hard. Price is fare. This place was recommended. We still go to try new dishes every now and then. read more

I waited to review just because I didn't want to rush to judgement. I agree that the staff at this location do a very nice job. The place is clean and every time I've been there it's been very busy. The food is plentiful but also I believe a bit higher than most. Again, not an issue when the quality of the food is great. The first time there I did the San Francisco Eggs Benedict. It looked great on the menu and when served. First bite ... it was almost cold. My companion had the chic n waffles. Tasty n interesting addition was the maple syrup mixed with "hot" sauce. Tasty n interesting. The last two times I've been there for brkfst no matter what I ordered it didn't come to the table very hot. The veggie omelette was for the most part tasteless and stuffed with green peppers. Given the lack of competition on the Rt 3 corridor this place is ok. I walked in a bitter cold wind to get a hot cup of coffee and breakfast while my windshield is being repaired. Diner recommended by repair shop. I get there to find a 25 min wait when several tables were empty. More than covid restrictions but was willing to wait. I am then told that I cant sit to wait on a hard bench that could be sprayed down. You wipe down tables and chairs dont you? The arrogant, young host was chirpping about covid. All my time living in Fredericksburg, I never noticed this diner. I happened to find it while looking on brunch spots on Yelp. I went in today for the first time and it was busy but luckily there were seats available at the bar. The waitress, Philecia, was very nice and provided excellent service. All the food that I watched the cooks prepare looked amazing. Large portions. I ordered the crab cakes benedict with hash browns and it was absolutely delicious. I watched to see the progress and realized that they weren't coming so I called the restaurant on a busy Sunday morning to let them know I'd be coming to pick it up. Our dining experience was less than satisfactory to say the least. We were seated promptly; which was nice. That is where the pleasure of our experience ended though. We; the customer; had to ask the "host" numerous times to place two tables together as we were not about to sit 4 adults and a toddler at a 4 top table that was no bigger than a folding card table. Our entrees were about as flavorful as water. It was less than satisfactory. I ordered a burger where the bun was supposed to be a grilled cheese. The "bun" was a rock. Literally so tough I couldn't really get through it. So I resigned myself to eating the burger. The burger came out so well done and burnt you'd swear that it was trying to shift its form straight to charcoal. Absolutely horrible..the chicken plate was so over cooked that the crust on the chicken dissengrated when touched..was not fresh at all. Lots of traditional offerings with a southern flair. Biscuits and gravy stacked whizzed by me as I went to the pick up area. Everyone's plate looked better than the next. I got the French toast with strawberry butter, that butter should be packaged and sold. Made with Challah Bread the size of a small plate, it was really good. The hickory bacon was tasty and cooked the way I like. Packaging was superior for takeout to help keep the texture and food warm. Hubby got the pancakes the size of a large plate adding chocolate chips and a side of homes fries he could not get through half so we get leftovers, something I usually don't do with breakfast food, but wohoo!! Really great meal, and our server, Chastity, was fantastic. Since it was our first visit, she took the time to go through the menu, pointing out some of the customer favorites. She kept the peach iced tea and chocolate almond coffee flowing. The food came out with a minimal wait (hey! they have to cook it!), and it was perfectly prepared. My eggs were light, fluffy and delicious. My son's burger was HUGE and a perfect medium (he was warned about the huge part). Hubby's cinnamon bun pancakes were out of sight. But the real star of the meal was Chastity. She was SO good that we offered to adopt her. Solicitous, but didn't hover, personable and truly friendly. Came in to this location on a whim with my 7 year old nephew this past Sunday to have breakfast. The server was an older women her name started with a G I cannot remember it for nothing right now. She was super helpful and very nice to my nephew. She really connects well with children and made him feel very happy about his meal choice. She went above and beyond to serve us. We ordered scrambled eggs and sides but we also ordered a lot of food to go so that we could bring everyone back at home food. She took special care in making sure we had everything one could need at home to ensure their breakfast food was just as good at home as it would have been dining in. I first tried this diner on my birthday when my family wanted to take me. I've been back two more times and everything is so good! I've tried the meat lovers omelette, cinnamon pancakes, and chicken tenders. Service and food was fast. My only complaint is that there was a hair in my cousin's food, but it didn't upset us, we just sent his plate back and the waiter came back with a new plate quickly. What a great find! Myself and husband decided to give this place a try for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised. Inside is very clean, updated with comfy booths and tables. Love everything is made from scratch here. Delicious coffee and lots of options to suit anyone's needs. I had avocado egg and bacon sandwich, yum. I don't know if the long wait was worth it! 20 minutes to get a table and another 30 minutes for the food --I ordered the western omelet with pancakes -- and my daughter got the waffles-- nothing truly special. Oh. Em. Gee. What a freak find. Was in the area. Hungry for a solo breakfast, googled it and headed over. Was pretty busy (hello Covid) prob would have been Just as busy even if not. Walked in ready to sit a table of one straight away...no luck. Was gonna be 25 minutes. Pleasantly said thank you and walked out to head back to my car...no, I said to myself. Turn around and go order Togo. Sooooo glad I did. I ordered the steak bowl...cause that's what sparked my interest. It was superb even in the Togo container in which I received it. Only thing I asked for was less hash browns, but this served as my breakfast (on the road) and lunch when I got home. The server who assisted was quite pleasant and I am so glad I stopped in.
