The food was real good. Service and the vibe was good. It's been a while since I been there. The grits were ok but Chicken and Waffles was fantastic. Good job, Metro!

The food was pretty good! The service was not so great, our server kind of stand off ish and didn't really seem to pay attention to us. She had several different people bring things to us rather than herself. We waited for longer periods for things. This place has definitely a diner feel to it, the rush and busy feel like.

The food and service were good. It's a place I choose to go every so often. It's a pretty busy place to go dine in. For the most part I like it but the service seems so rushed with people waiting for a seating and the server rushing to get to every table. Otherwise try not going during the morning on the weekends. It's still a good place to stop in but have not really been able to say you can relax and socialize or catch-up with friends and family as it always feels like you need to eat and go.

The food was vey good. Biscuits and gravy. Comes with two eggs your way and a choice of three varieties of potato's. I can't remember what they were, it's been a minute since I ate the breakfast. I know, I know; slacker right. I was eating alone so I sat at the bar. Needless to say, the bartender gave me great service. I never had to ask for refills of my coffee or water. She checked on my food a few bites in. I don't like when a waiter/waitress asks me when the plates are put on the table. How is everything. Ah, I don't know, I haven't tried it. Wow, off track again. Ok. Focus Ken. There is plenty of seating in the diner. The breakfast menu is extensive and there should be something for any one. There are a bunch of booths and stand alone tables. There is also a lunch / dinner menu. Breakfast is served from open to closing.

Looking for a great local brunch spot? Look no further! I enjoyed the outside patio (a tad cold inside for me). The wait was not long at all even though the parking lot was packed. Our server Jermaine I believe was his name was very friendly and a good sense of humor. Now to the food... I ordered the chicken and waffles and very rarely order this. But when ai saw strawberry butter I had to try it. Please do also. You won't be disappointed. You can get a half chicken cut up or tenders. I went for the tenders. The tenders included 4 nice size tenders or should we say breast cut up freshly! The chicken comes with a hot honey sauce that is also very delicious ! The meal although very feeling was not heavy feeling. My cousin ordered the shrimp and grits. I tasted the sauce and very flavorful! It had grits and a grit cake! The mimosas was also very good but only if you like more bubbly!

We had a group of ten. We had tried two places with over an hour wait so we tried Metro Diner and the host took it in stride and worked with the servers to get a table set up. Our server was great. They took our drink orders and returned with drinks and took our order. We had the range from avocado toast to waffles. The food was delivered as ordered and delicious. We requested a split check and they accommodated perfectly. Our family brunch was wonderful and we enjoyed it very much thanks to the "get it done" approach of the staff.

Had a great time at Metro Diner tonight. I took my mom for a late Mother's Day Dinner, she doesn't like the crowds on the actual day, so I always grill her a Ribeye on Mother's Day and then she picks a day afterwards to go out and celebrate. Tonight we both chose the shrimp and grits which were very yummy. This was our first visit to this place and we will definitely be back. They not only do a great job on the food, but the atmosphere and service are also both very good

I can't believe I'm never reviewed Metro I love this place it's corporate with a small town feel, they are independently owned and operated, the Murfreesboro location is my absolute favorite. The staff are literally the most friendly people in Rutherford county. My best friend had never been here so today was the day I told em hey you looking for a good meal let's go to Metro before you go to work and that's exactly what we did. Our waitress today was Haley, She was amazing I enjoyed my usual favorite the shrimp and grits my friend got the fish and chips everything was fresh and delicious full of flavor every bite was amazing. The servings are huge so get ready to have leftovers. They have a new mimosa flight for $9.99 That's cool. Haley did a great job of letting us know the new things on the menu as well as reminding us of some of the usual favorites. Before we even got up to leave my friend was like we will definitely be back!

Nice view I had from my table. Also, there's multiple seating options (bar, tables, and booths).

The burger was perfectly cooked and had enough lettuce that the fresh crunch came through. Joanie's Magic Sauce was served on the side. It was good with the burger but not the fries. This was my first trip here and I can recommend it. The burger was better than average. I'd give it a 7.8 out of 10. Other than the moldy smell, I can recommend it. They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

We ordered a bottle of wine (delicious), and noticed some guests bringing their own, though I'm not sure about corkage fees. We started with the smoked pork croquettes, which were outstanding and ended up being the highlight of the meal. For entrées, we tried the lamb, braised beef, halibut, duck tacos, and mushroom ravioli. Everything was served promptly, and overall the food was very good, though there's room for small improvements. The braised beef came highly recommended but didn't stand out in flavor or texture. The lamb, cooked medium rare, was excellent. The ravioli was rich and tasty, though the cream sauce slightly overpowered the dish. The halibut was well prepared, but the potato leek cream truly stole the show. As we were leaving, the staff surprised us with a serving of strawberry ice cream for the birthday guest; a sweet and memorable gesture that capped off the evening nicely. Overall, a great experience with attentive service and a few standout dishes.

A Cut Above the Monday Blues…read more The Chop House has quickly become a go-to family favorite since my folks moved to Murfreesboro, whether I'm in town visiting or they're dining on their own. The food and service consistently hit the mark, and our latest visit was no exception. I was surprised by how bustling it was for a Monday night--the place was absolutely packed! There was a party of 30 near us, plus a group of 12 right next to our table celebrating a 2-year-old's birthday. It was great seeing everyone having such a special celebration, and despite how busy the team was, we were seated and served in a very reasonable timeframe. My mother made a reservation in advance, and the team graciously accommodated her request for a booth to help with her back issues. They are always wonderfully welcoming to her 5-pound service dog, who sits quietly right beside her. Everyone--from the staff to the fellow diners--was warm and friendly, which makes the whole atmosphere even better. I usually go for the prime rib sandwich, but this time I opted for the full prime rib dinner with soup and a baked potato. It certainly did not disappoint, though it was so generous I couldn't even finish it all. As one of the nicer spots in Murfreesboro, it's a wonderful choice if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion--or just enjoy a top-tier meal.

It was really good (and only $6 for a bowl). It was smooth and flavorful. In my neighborhood that would cost $15. My entree was a daily special, yellowfin tuna. It was nicely seared on the outside and sushi grade on the inside. I could really taste the healthy Omega 3's. The fish was served on a nicely flavored bed of long grain rice. A wonderful mango salsa topped the fish. The accompanying broccoli was perfectly steamed. This was only $26. I shall return again to this great place.
