This was my first time going here for brunch. I'm giving 3 stars due to the amount of time we had to wait. We showed up at 10am on a Sunday and was told the wait would be 25-35 minutes. That wasn't the case at all. Our wait was an hour plus. The hostess/host at the front didn't seem to really know how to gauge time because there were several other people who were told one wait time and it was actually double that amount. The food was okay. Nothing extraordinary. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant. It was cold and barely had any cheese on it. I also ordered a side of home fries, but apparently they were out! I don't understand how they can be out of a breakfast item at 10am, but I guess it happens. Overall the food was good and my waitress was really good too. I don't think I'll go back for brunch due to the wait and them running out of items on the menu. Other members of my party had the pancakes and they were very pleased with them. read more

Overall a good choice. We had about a 20 minute wait for seating on a Saturday morning. The waitress was nice. I know she was super busy but we felt taken cared of. Food was good. We were in town visiting family and needed a place to go for lunch. Metro Diner was just what we needed. I have never been to one of their locations so I don't know if they all look similar but this one was really cute inside! The service was really good as well. The sticky chicken and waffles were good and their biscuits and gravy good as well. I also ordered a side a bacon and it was cooked perfectly, not too floppy and not too crispy. This is one of the best diners I've ever been to. What I really like about it is they seem to have picked up on their customers tastes which leans towards country, Southern flair. No complaints whatsoever. I went with family and the variety of food was great. Not one complaint on the food. Our server was kind and even when she forgot stuff she would acknowledge it and get it. Loved that! The chicken was moist, the waffles were tasty even BEFORE the syrup (hello! that's important) and the raspberry tea was sooo good. Not syrupy and fake very fresh and authentic tasting. I visited their IG and felt like it lacked the same diversity of people that I actually saw within the restaurant which was disappointing. Oh my gosh what a pleasant experience it was to go to Metro Diner today. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and Beyoncé was the absolute best server. She even sang Happy Birthday, which blew us away! She's such a talented singer. Our food was fresh and delicious. Coffee was great. I've been to Metro Diner a few times before, but this was definitely the best experience by far. We can't wait to go back and will be asking to sit in Beyoncé's section again! read more

Went with family for breakfast/brunch and once again it was an awesome experience. You can't possibly leave here hungry. My husband had these huge eyes that said he could eat a short stack and then some for pancakes. So I ordered the 12" and I ate half as he struggled with his short stack. My older son only finished his burger and could take on the fries but they reheated well in the air fryer the next day. Our server was Rosetta and she was excellent. The manager came around twice while we were there to make sure things were good which is always a plus. Great atmosphere, great food and great service. We were so excited to come since we heard great things about this place. Walked in Came here for lunch, had an Ok Greeting, she told us to pick a seat anywhere: Sat for about 5 minutes before someone noticed that we hadn't been helped yet. She took our drink order but within seconds she came right back and forgot what we wanted to drink. When she came to bring our drinks, she brought the wrong drink. She took the wrong drink back and it still took 5 minutes to bring back a Sprite. We ordered our food, I got the Western egg Breakfast and someone else ordered the 3 eggs with bacon, gravy and biscuits, side of hash browns and Belgian waffle. Again, we waited for a good amount of time and another server brought our food to us. The original server we had didn't even serve us our meals. When she came back she said she was going to beat the others up because they took so long when really I think it was her. Once Everything came, we never got our Belgian waffles. By this time, we've already ate most of our food, once the waffles finally came out, we told her we didn't even want it anymore. She asked if we wanted it to go and we asked her to take back the waffles we didn't want it. We got our ticket and she told us that it was discounted because of the mix up. We saw it said $27, we gave her $100 and she only gave back $69...she didn't give us back the receipt and told me that the ticket said it was $31. Odd. She didn't give back our receipt. We paid it. We didn't take any of the leftovers. We accepted her apology for the service. We won't be back. Hopefully service will get better for it to be on the nice part of town. read more

It was the day after a big snowstorm, they were very full and busy but that did not effect their quality of service on this day. First time to try this new restaurant in town. Two of us for lunch, and seated right away (requesting outdoor seating). They don't have a kids burger on the menu, but ask and they will make it. I had the chef salad and my little one had burger and fries. Both meals were good size portions and taste was ok, nothing amazing about either meal. Fries were actually great though. This is my second time here and it's really great! The portions are huge and the service is fantastic. Very attentive and kind. The only downside is that I had ordered a chicken biscuit first and asked it be brought out before my main meal and it ended up coming at the exact same time. It made it difficult to enjoy each one, as I had to pick back and forth from between the two items. However, the honey spicy chicken biscuit is very good! Probably not the best time to visit for a busy Sunday brunch. 40 mins wait for a table of 4. Not only the wait took so long to be seated. Got skipped hostess said they called our names which we were right there next to the stand. One of the four people would heard if our names was called. we waited additional over 30mins for our food to arrive. Food was MEH. Nothing great about the place that would have me come back here. Service was slow. Waitress brought our drinks then brought out additional drinks so she wouldn't have to come back to refills. Even though our drinks had been serve. Metro Diner - whose roots are established in Jacksonville, FL - recently open a restaurant here in Murfreesboro, TN. So, naturally, we just HAD to test it out! The place is kitchy, typical diner, but definitely clean! Simple decor including wood shutters and beige bi-toned half-curtain style kitchen curtains adorn the place. Diner counters with swivel chairs and quaint diner booths are available in decent number. It is bustling with brisk business and smiling wait staff. We had a kind waiter named Jimmy. Jimmy is one of those seasoned waiters who is very attentive, helps with meal suggestions, and keeps your glass full. We enjoyed chatting and having him! Personally, I just had to have the beef tips over mashed potatoes. I asked for gravy on the side as I am finicky about gravy. Also got a side salad with vinaigrette. Steven opted for the meatloaf plate and side salad. We also got the cheddar cornbread waffle with syrup appetizer to start. The appetizer was incredible! Moist with bits of whole corn kernels and subtle blend of cheddar, the waffle was delicious and could have easily passed as dessert, too! Do not miss out on getting the waffle!! I also have to mention the generous portions at this point. We could have shared this delight with another person easily!! The beef tips were so perfectly cooked, you could cut them with a fork! Savory simple goodness spread over a hardy helping of red mashed potatoes is a surefire win! The potatoes are lightly seasoned and herbed and then there's the mushroom gravy!! I, hands down, LOVED it! And they provided enough that I could share it with Steven, too (he just had to have more over his veggies!). The meal comes with lightly sautéed broccoli - perfection! Broccoli was al dente, bright green, and lightly seasoned with a hint of butter. So fresh!! The salad was great, too! The vinaigrette is housemade, light, and tasty! In fact, everything here is made fresh!! Steven's meatloaf came with gravy and those heavenly mashed potatoes. He also got seasonal sautéed veggies - yellow squash and zucchini. He didn't leave a drop on his plate! He even helped finish off my potatoes!! His salad came with ranch dressing and he also thoroughly enjoyed it! He has already made mental plans to come back for breakfast at some point! The Metro also features a drink menu with tap beer, wines, and a small selection of cocktails. Plus, the "soda jerks" also make the hand-spun milkshakes that they are well noted for! I am glad we stopped by and had our dinner here tonight! We stopped at this location twice in our trip. One heading to Georgia and one heading back to Kentucky. Both occasion were very good. Friendly service. Practicing social distancing and offering hand sanitizer by the door. Employees were wearing face mask and keeping good distance while taking the order. Metro Diner has NOT disappointed us when we were in Florida and Kentucky and Murfreesboro, Tenessesse location was our next stop to try. Our food came fresh, fast and correctly. My favorite item from the menu are the "San Francisco Benedits" . I have ordered these in every Metro Diner and by experience, we get good food quality everytime...just ...yummie! We like that we see that no matter where we been -so far- all Metro Diner are keeping the same high quality standards of the franchise! My husband tried the veggie omelets and he was happy with it. We told our waiter on both occasion: "Please extra crispy on our hashbrown" and both times we were very pleased! The 1st time we ordered an extra hashbrown because we loved how much crispier it was! I have been going to the Metro Diner since its beginnings in Jacksonville, Florida. They have great breakfast and their burgers are not to be missed. I do miss one of their menu items that fell off the menu as Metro Diner grew. It was a pork, bacon and spinach sandwich that I truly miss. I would definitely recommend to visit here. read more

Slammed open view kitchen is entertaining to watch as employees scoot past each other in the standing room only cooking area.. they never seem to slow down.
