Came here for brunch to celebrate a birthday. We were seated at the very back near the bar, in what appeared to be a "room", with privacy by way of curtain if needed. Wasn't the best seat in the house at all as we were by the walkway to the bathroom. Did the bottomless mimosas for the entire table - they are very strict with the time limit. I can't speak to the rest of my party's food, but will say mine was overpriced. I ordered the Safron & Yogurt marinated chicken skewers sandwich. It looked like 1 skewer with 3 or 4 tiny pieces of chicken. Served with a simple salad. It was fine - definitely NOT worth ordering based on the serving alone. I'd give it another try and maybe order something more hearty for brunch like an omelette or chilaquiles. But was definitely disappointed in the portions.

Since this place has always been quite busy (good sign), I just started coming with my friend who swears by it, for the in-between hours or happy hr. so we can chat at the bar...I'm hooked. I've since come back for dinner and loved it just as much. The staff are so professional and welcoming, always. Their cocktails are the best in town, as far as fresh and classic, with really beautiful twists. This is my now go-to when I'm bobbing around town, and just want a comfortable place to land. Happy hr is also...best deal in town.

We came here for a casual dinner, but service was extremely slow. We even had to call a server to get our order started. Drinks and appetizers arrived, but it took a long time for the main courses. We tried the white sea bass, chicken, Margherita pizza, pasta and their Wagyu burger. Food was satisfactory, nothing memorable to make us come back. The ambience is a bit dark inside, though somewhat cozy

Back in Walnut Creek. I met a friend for an "it's the new year brunch" and she chose Main Street Kitchen and Bar. The weather wasn't the greatest, but that sure didn't stop folks from coming out to break bread together. We were seated and began to look over the menu right away. Both my friend and I ordered a Lavender Latte..... damn that thang good!! so much so we ordered a second one when we were done with our brunch. They have a huge menu so it took me a minute to decide what I wanted as my entrée but I narrowed it down to an omelette. The food here is legit and you won't be disappointed. You will definitely get your feel of a Sunday Brunch maybe even Tuesday Brunch. If you want a place to come that has a large selection of items to choose from, this is definitely your place. As I always say don't take my word please come and check it out for yourself and let me know. Bon appétit.

I've been here a handful of times and have had good experiences each time. I went with a friend in April and we decided to share multiple menu items. As the food arrived we realized the two-top table was a bit small for everything we ordered, but we were managing fine and had no complaints. When the table next to us finished their meal & left, our server came over promptly and pushed the empty table to us so we had more space! They also brought over more bread for one of our dishes when they noticed we were getting low. I love that they have a rotating menu and use fresh local ingredients, and I believe make all their sauces in house. I was there for a solo dinner at the bar last weekend and received great service from both bartenders- Sam & Madison I believe were their names. Drinks are good, food is good, vibes are good.

Service and location are good. The pizza wasn't really my thing though. Will have to come back and try more eats and drinks!

I really enjoyed this place! I went with my bestie to brunch and she had found this place on Instagram and I honestly thought the food was great. The Chilaquiles were delicious, pretty much as good as any I have tried that were homemade. I also appreciated the tang of the salsa verde on top, mmm! I tried my bestie's salmon Benedict and also a yummy solid choice. I would totally recommend this place

Last time I was here was with the ladies in my family. This time, we came in before with some of my other family before we headed out to the airport. I loooove this spot for brunch! My sister made a reservation and we were seated as soon as we arrived. There's a parking garage nearby for easy parking. I ordered the espresso martini and loved it! It was so creamy and delicious! To start, my brother in law ordered some guac and salsa for the table and their giant fries! The fries came with a yummy aioli sauce I really liked. The guac was good, too, and the chips are definitely homemade. At first when we were seated, I think there might have been a little confusion as to who our server was, but when we asked a server passing by, he ended up taking up our table and did a great job! He was wonderful. To eat, I ordered this delicious summer pasta they had. It came with arugula on top! it was soooo refreshing and light. Honestly a great lunch item to get because it wasn't too heavy at all. The flavors were perfection! I have literally been dreaming about this pasta ever since I had it haha. Highly recommend this spot for a date or catching up with friends and family.

My apologies for the delay in writing this. I made a reservation for December 31, the day before New Year's, to celebrate, but on that day, if you guys remember, we had a Pineapple Express coming through the East Bay, pouring rain. I was going to cancel because visibility was low, and driving on highways in a typhoonish rainstorm in the Bay Area is risky. Nonetheless, I'm glad I did not cancel. This restaurant was the gold standard in farm-to-table. The staff was excellent on this night. They offered us cloth napkins to dry off as we rushed in the door. They were very patient and understanding and sat us promptly. Kudos to whoever trained and hired these guys. The ambience of Main Street Kitchen and Bar is perfect for first dates, date night, and quaint get-togethers. The cocktail menu reflects a sophistication and elegance that balance traditional cocktails with unique, fresh ingredients, giving it an updated, refreshing appeal. As for the food, if pictures could speak, a few I posted would say the following: fresh, perfectly seasoned, plated with care, and served at the perfect temperature. From a vegetarian to a carnivore, the restaurant's carefully sculpted menu makes it the perfect place to dine, not eat. As a native of New Orleans, only a category 3 storm or higher would keep me from making my reservation. The food is exemplary.

The foods were delicious and fresh. Mimosa was a little different than what we expected but not bad at all. Service was fast and pleasant. P/S: I'd vote 6 stars (if available) just for the bathrooms. They have all-gender bathrooms, clean and well equipped, with lots of amenities: phone holder, bags/clothes hangers, dual flush toilet, especially a great bidet sprayer.

Ask the Community - Main Street Kitchen & Bar

    How is the parking?

There is garage parking nearby; 1st hour free, minimal after that. There's street parking all metered - go for a garage.

Can we bring our dog if we have reservations for patio seating?

I usually sit on the patio at Main Street Kitchen and often see dogs lying on the ground next to their owners, so it is apparently acceptable.

We started with the chips and salsa, and they were a great way to kick things off. The chips tasted fresh and were perfectly crispy. Both the red and green salsas had really good flavor without being overly spicy. We also ordered spicy margaritas, and the bartender definitely knew what they were doing. The drinks were well-balanced with just the right amount of heat. For our entrees, we ordered the burrito, carne plate, enchiladas, and the bee salad. The standout was definitely the carne--it was incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. It was cooked perfectly. The burrito was absolutely massive and packed with flavor, while the enchiladas tasted homemade and were comforting and delicious. Everyone at the table left happy. Overall, it was a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent drinks, and attentive service despite how busy they were. We'll definitely be back--especially because their brunch menu is next on our list!

The one thing that really stands out to me about Bar Camino though is their bartenders. Very friendly and 100% on top of their games no matter how busy they get. Most of the time my lemonade was refilled before I even asked, no matter how many tickets were on the rail waiting to be filled. A few menu tweaks, including seasoning, and they should be able to elevate their overall game on the backs of their strong staff.

Observations: 1) The place is very small. They sit you outside in a very windy alley. The food gets cold within 5min or so. Heaters don't help that much. 2) When you make a reservation on OpenTable you choose "Standard seating" - it doesn't mean inside. Inside capacity is about 50 or so ppl with 10 or so by the bar. So capacity is very limited. 3) We ordered lemonade for kids. They serve it in short glasses filled with ice to the brim (despite our ask for "no ice"), effectively reducing the liquid volume. We paid $35 for lemonade. 4) Food is very uneventful, nothing was remarkable. Their gnocchi with meat resembled Chef Boyardee from back in college times. Not sure why this place felt so pretentious with really no substance to back it. With so many options around like Montecatini, Doppio Zero, Benvenuti, La Fontaine, etc, not sure how they are still in business. Definitely not recommended for families, and have a hard time figuring out what audience they cater to.

Fantastic drink. My friend tasted mine and ordered the same. The selection is the draw here. Whiskey lines the entire back wall, the rarer bottles sit behind wire-mesh locked cabinets, and there is a deep bench of tequila, beer on tap, and wine to round things out. One look at the shelves tells you they have the base for any drink you want. We split the Margherita flatbread, pesto, fresh mozzarella, and blistered cherry tomatoes, and it hit the spot as a drinking snack. The menu goes deeper than expected for a bar, with sliders, naan tacos, and charcuterie if you show up hungry. Service was good considering the staff-to-crowd ratio. Sevan stayed attentive the whole time and clearly knows his stuff. The vibe is chill and conversation-friendly, not too loud for the size of the room, with a bank of TVs toward the back if you want to catch a game. Logistics are easy.
