I've been to metropolitan collision several times and was always happy service. Until now. Had an accident repaired by them about 12 months ago. now when I'm selling that car, the appraisers are pointing out flaws with the repair including paint drips and work that may hide other problems. Due to metros work, my car cannot be sold by the dealer but has to be auctioned off only. This is a few thousand out of my pocket. Lesson learned: have another shop review the results. Like many people that buy a new car and have and accident in the first few hundred miles, I was worried about the car being able to drive straight and look like it was when I first drove it off the lot. After they looked at the car, it was determined to be a total loss. They worked with my insurance company to provide them all the information they needed to write me a check to buy another new car. Then, it happened again! This was my second new car of the year and it had less than 1500 miles on it, but I knew exactly where to take it for repair. The staff took great care of me! I dropped off the car for repair and I was picked-up by the rental car company, all with-in 15 min. I came here after a person who shall remain unnamed backed into my new A4 (despite the fact that he/she had a backup camera!). If you are unfortunate enough to have to visit a collision repair shop, you should go to Metropolitan for 3 reasons: 1. Prices are reasonable. Their price was almost exactly what another repairman quoted me (who happens to be a close family friend, although out of the Houston area and unable to perform the repair). 2. Work was fast and thorough! They finished my repair in about 2 and a half days, which is quick considering they did such a great job. You could not tell the car had been damaged at all. 3. Customer services is awesome. Kevin R. took care of everything. When I went to pick the car up, it was cleaner than it was off the dealer's lot. The interior (which sustained no damage) was spotless--vacuumed and stains removed! The entire exterior was stunning as well. They over promised and under delivered every step of the way. The car wasn't done. They tried to give me the car back empty of gas and with an engine light and an error saying the gas cap wasn't shut. I would go somewhere that can give accurate completion dates and that actually finishes the car before they give it back. All I got was empty apologies and no explanation. I am really disappointed in a place that is supposed to have a good reputation: they likely pay for their yep status like so many times other sub par businesses. read more

I recently discovered spots on the hood of my new BMW. When I took it to the BMW dealership, they weren't able to diagnose the cause of the spots and since they don't perform auto body work, they told me I should bring here to Metropolitan. Metropolitan as well couldn't make a 100% positive diagnoses as to what caused the spots, however they did sand and polish the clear coat which solved the problem. When I went to Metropolitan, they served me immediately, even though I didn't have an appointment, I was finished within 45 minutes, and not only did they fix the problem, but best of all, because it was a relatively simple fix for them, they didn't charge me for the work. read more

I was very pleased with the work that Metropolitan Collision did on my car after I was rear-ended. They worked with my schedule so that I could bring my car in at a convenient time without having to worry about a rental. They did excellent work; my car looks even better than it did before the accident. They paid attention to detail, cleaned the inside of my car before I picked it up, and even applied touch-up paint to fix a separate area of the car which wasn't involved in the collision. They communicated with the insurance company so everything was hassle-free for me. The first experience I had with metropolitan collision was definitely five stars. My car came out looking brand new and I was very impressed with the work that was put into repairing the damage. The staff was and is still very nice as well. However, this time around, what was supposed to be three weeks has dragged onto five weeks of my car being worked on. There's no way it should take five weeks to get it done and then there always seems to be issues like understaffed painters or incorrect parts that were ordered that prolongs my car needing to be there. I've been Ubering everywhere for a week now and still nothing on my car. I would have just went to the actual dealer and drove 45 minutes north to have the same work done if I knew it was going to take a month and a half. That's why my review has plummeted to 3 stars. Hopefully it won't be another month before I get my car back. read more

Jason took great care of me and had my car back to me in perfect condition in less than 24 hrs after I dropped it out. They replaced the rear bumper and even fixed a few minor body trim pieces that were coming undone and also an interior pillar that had come undone. The work is good. The customer service, not so much. My car went in with some minor damage after another car swiped me. In addition to paint work, the rim was damaged on the front right tire. When Kevin called to tell me my car was ready, I specifically asked if the wheel was fixed. He assured me it was. So, I rescheduled a meeting and left work early to go pick up my car. As Kevin and I walked out to look at it, I immediately noticed the wheel was not fixed properly. I wear glasses and could see the damage without them. I had to leave my car there two more days. A hassle but not that big of a deal. The reason for three stars is because in addition to this, when I did go get the car two days later, it was dirty. Kevin wasn't there. The woman helping me said because the cars sit outside they can't keep them clean. She left me out there. I stood in the parking lot cleaning my windshield and hood with my bottle of water and a towel. It took about 10 minutes. No one ever came to help. No one ever asked if I needed help. The other driver's insurance was charged $40 for detailing. I think they wash the cars right before you pick them up. But since my car had to stay to get the wheel fixed, they didn't repeat that step. So I got a dirty car. And lastly, no one went over the car with me to show me what was done and how it was repaired. Metropolitan came highly recommended. I guess I just expected better customer service. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience here!!!. I took my Kia to get the bumper fixed and it only took a few hours, and cost less than 300 dollars. Kevin had excellent communication skills and he even picked me up from my apartment. Everyone is extremely professional and courteous. They even WASHED MY CAR (and it was very dirty inside and out after I returned from a cross country road trip)!!! I took my 2014 Audi A4 to him to remove paint over spray that got on my car at a home construction site. The communication was extremely poor. It took a lot longer than originally planned and their finish out took longer than they even expected. The workmanship was good, hence the three stars. The team at Metropolitan Collision is top notch. Late last year when a woman swerved into my lane and hit my car the amount of damage exceeded $12,000. The accident occurred right before the holidays and this was literally the last thing I needed to happen at the moment--but who ever really "needs" a car accident? Andy and his team took great care of me. They always kept me up to speed on what was happening with my vehicle, i.e., updates regarding communication with the insurance company, when additional damage was discovered, when parts were ordered, when parts arrived, when additional parts were ordered, etc. When their team doesn't have an immediate answer and says they'll call you back they actually call you back, in a timely manner! When they returned my car to me it was as good as new. I backed into a post at work in my 3 month old car and put a small dent in the tailgate. Metropolitan told me it would take 4 days and they finished it in 3. They put the tailgate back like new hook all the electronics back up, like the auto tailgate opening by kicking under the bumper. I have used them before and will use them again. I got into an accident a few weeks ago and immediately took my car to some random collision center out in Katy for an estimate. Although the estimate from the other collision center did seem to be quite accurate (same as Metropolitan's), I was not impressed with their service and promptly took my car to Metropolitan for a second opinion. My work schedule is quite hectic and it was near impossible to get my car out during regular business hours for an estimate, so Kevin offered to stay late to accommodate me (ABOVE AND BEYOND service!). He was thorough and really helped guide me through the process with getting a rental coordinated and with submitting a supplement to my insurance. He has been very diligent in working with my tricky insurance company and keeps me informed regarding the status of my repairs. I can't speak highly enough about this place. I was recently in a crash that badly damaged the front of my car. This place was recommended by my insurance, and I am so pleased I went to them. Although they typically have a long wait for service, my car was deemed unsafe to drive so they took my car in immediately. Ultimately, my car was deemed a total loss but Mia walked me through the process step by step so that I knew what to expect. I just wanted to comment that this place went above and beyond on my recent repair and if you want excellent customer service this is the place to go. What initially seemed to be a straightforward repair and paint job after a neighbor accidentally backed into me, became much more involved and took much longer than expected. I brought my Camaro to Metropolitan to have the front end repaired after hitting a 2x4 on the Katy Freeway at 70 mph. I'm extremely picky when it comes to paint finishes so I brought it here in hopes that they could match the paint exactly and make it look factory rather than repaired. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars because the work couldn't have turned out better. The level of craftsmanship this shop turns out is second to none. The employees are professional, the shop is clean, and the prices are reasonable. Kevin was very helpful getting the car scheduled and working with the insurance company on my rental car. I had a chance to talk with the owner for about 45 minutes when I picked the car up and was really impressed.
