Fully restored with many Pit Stop parts

The Pit Stop remains my premier source of parts and information for my Metropolitan. Mark always provides friendly advice for any Metro issue. Not the cheapest parts but you get the right ones and the quality you need for a good result, whether it's a tiny fastener or a whole rebuilt component or new part. 'Berkshire' has received many Pit Stop parts and they were all worth it!

I love that the car "crashed" into the wall!

Incredibly kind and extremely knowledgeable staff. The beautiful display of vehicles had me grinning ear to ear. Thanks again Justin.

My review is long overdue…read more I purchased a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 "CPO" from Keyes Mercedes-Benz in 2022, and it has been the worst vehicle ownership experience I've ever had. The first major incident happened when the car locked itself with my key inside while my infant son--less than a year old--was strapped into his car seat. I had to call 911 and stood there crying until we were able to get him out safely. When I brought the vehicle to the service department, I was told they couldn't do anything because they couldn't "replicate" the issue. I remember Allen's advice "just Don't leave your key in the car." That was his response after a terrifying situation involving a baby. There was no empathy, no concern, and no attempt to make it right. I even asked him "How would you feel if you put your child in the car seat, set your things down, closed the door to walk around to the driver's side, and the car locked you out?" The lack of compassion was unbelievable. I shoulda got rid of that car right after that! Then, at around 40,000 miles, the engine completely failed without warning. There was no explanation as to why it happened. No lights, warnings etc. Instead of focusing on diagnosing the problem, which I still don't know what happened it felt like they were looking for any reason to blame me so the repair wouldn't be covered. Fortunately, my warranty covered the engine replacement. Fast forward to this week. I was in the process of finally selling the vehicle to Driveway (owned by Lithia, the same company that owns Keyes Van Nuys). Then at the last minute, the sale was canceled because a stored code p052e appeared during their final inspection. Again, There was no check engine light, no warning messages, and nothing indicating there was a problem. I researched that there was an extended 15 year Mercedes warranty due to this widely known issue so I called for an appointment with Keyes and showed up that evening to the same advisor Allen - and gave him the exact code. Even showed him a picture of It. He acted as though he had no idea what it could be - which is a lie since it's the most common code on these cars and again, 15 year warranty for this reason! He told me a technician would hopefully get to it within the following day or two. Since I have a three-year-old and needed transportation, I left the car overnight. Later that evening, i did some more research, and I decided to cancel the appointment. I sent a written message to both Allen and the service manager clearly stating that I wanted to cancel the service and would be picking up my vehicle the next morning. They open at 8:00 a.m. I arrived around 8:45 a.m., and somehow my car had already been diagnosed- with the same code I gave him. Suddenly, they had plenty of time to diagnose it - first thing in the am. I was handed a $3,000 repair estimate along with a $300 diagnostic bill--despite the fact that I had already documented, in writing, that I was canceling the appointment before any work should have been performed. The day before, I was told they might not even get to my car for two days. The moment I canceled, it somehow became their first priority. Clearly they rushed to perform diagnostics before I arrived so they could charge me the fee to tell me what I already knew and TOLD Allen and even SHOWED HIM! A shady move and just thirsty to charge a mom they see stressed out! To make matters worse, the only reason I brought the vehicle in was because I believed the stored code involved a part covered under Mercedes-Benz's extended warranty. Only after charging me for diagnostics did they tell me that my specific model wasn't included. From the day I bought this "Certified Pre-Owned" vehicle, it's been one problem after another: a terrifying safety incident involving my infant, an engine failure at only 40,000 miles, and now a service experience that left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. Unfortunately, my experience with Keyes Mercedes-Benz has been defined by poor customer service, a lack of transparency and straight out grimey sleazy men.
