My favorite Mexican restaurant of all time! I've tried so many different ones and I keep coming back to this one. It's an authentic family owned restaurant which I love! I've been eating at this place since 2014 and I hope that they never go out of business. I'd be devastated. My go to order every single time is their wet burrito cheese and rice and the complimentary chips and salsa hit the spot. The service is also top notch and they make you feel like you're family.

Great little spot. We went for cinco de mayo and I was so happy there wasn't a line out the door for it, we sat quickly and got our food quickly. The owner is so kind, he was walking around talking to everyone, which I appreciate. It seemed like a lot of guests were regulars, which I also love. A true community gem. We got the cheese enchiladas which were delicious! We also got a chicken taco, I didn't love the taste of it, mostly dark meat chicken, it was good but not my vibe. Only downside is they don't have high chairs for children but my daughter sat in my lap and enjoyed her food!

I had a fantastic experience at Mexican Riviera Restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with vibrant decor that really sets the mood. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the meal. The food was the highlight--everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and you can tell they put care into every dish. The salsa and chips were a great start, and the main courses were even better, with perfectly balanced spices and authentic taste. I had the green chilaquiles and requested 1/2 rice 1/2 beans and would highly recommend the dish ! What really stood out was the consistency in both service and quality. It's the kind of place you can go to whether you're having a casual meal or celebrating something special. I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Mexican food and a great dining experience. Also has great parking and if you're in the torrance area this is a great place to come and give a try ! (4239 pch torrance ca) in between cvs & ross :)

I went to Mexican Riviera on 12/5/25. I ordered one of the Friday specials the 2 Baja fish tacos with beans and rice for $14. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and shown a table. They had complementary chips and salsa. Rating 6/10 chips did not taste warm / fresh. Salsa was watery but good flavor. The rice and beans had a good flavor and a decent portion rating 9/10. The Baja fish tacos had a huge portion (see picture) of cold shredded cheese, red cabbage, tomato and under all of that they had a few pieces of the thin fried fish. They also did not serve lemon/ limes with the fish tacos I had to request. Rating for Baja fish tacos: 4/10 They also did not come to refill my water. The employees also seemed like they were playing with one another, hiding someone's phone, blaming each other, calling names. Overall they service was good and quick, the food is a good price with lots of options for specials. But if you want good authentic Mexican this is not the spot, there are much better places in the South Bay. I will not be back but I am glad I visited!

The food is delicious, prices are excellent, service is the best in South Bay, and it feels like you're at your family's house for dinner. Cannot recommend this place enough. My favorite is the Pastor street tacos and junior cali burrito!

The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlán. Puerto Vallarta. Cabo San Lucas. You can slap down $700, book a flight and grab an authentic Mexican dish there. Or - you can get in your car and drive to Torrance and have the same thing. Wifey put me in charge of scouting a restaurant before braving the slammed-yet-festive Christmassy neighborhoods of Sleepy Hollow just to the west. So I hit my trusty Yelp app and made our discovery. It's a diamond in the rough! It has the feel of a family-owned op' and they do a great job, serving everyone with a smile. The ambiance is simple, unassuming. The food is REAL Mexican and it is happening. Nothing phoned in or hurried. And, yes, they serve alcohol. We have our favorite joints here in the Slauson/La Cienega area - gotta say, Mexican Riviera blew them all away. Cue the mariachis...we're headed to The Riviera, baby!

We had a reservation and were sat right away when most of our party arrived. We were seated outside and at the time, it was a little chilly in the evening so we asked for the heater to be turned on and they did so right away. We ordered some drinks and starters - the guacamole with 3 salsas and the ceviche. Both were delicious - the ceviche especially was super fresh and light. We got a couple of the cocktails to share and all of them didn't disappoint!! My husband and I split 2 entrees because we wanted to try as much as we could. I ordered the madre enchiladas which allows you to sample multiple different moles and sauces. My favorite was the mole negro out of the 4 - the complexity of flavors was out of this world! My fiancé ordered the Barbacoa de res and really enjoyed his dish as well. It comes as a plate with rice and beans and some toppings for the tortillas (you can pick flour, corn, or handmade corn). Overall, the meal was delicious and we would definitely come back!

My son had the kids enchilada and enjoyed his meal. I ordered 3 tacos from the à la carte menu. The chicken was fine but the fish and shrimp were undercooked and I couldn't eat them, which is why I deducted the one star. The other deduction was for the underwhelming flavors in the meals themselves. Usually when a Mexican restaurant had amazing salsa, the same vibe carries through with the entrees , but unfortunately it wasn't my experience. I would probably try once more and edit my review based on a second experience.

I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. My wife ordered their chicken tortilla soup which has been a longtime favorite. The size of the bowl has diminished about 30% from what I remember but that's been a common theme the past few years in many places so oh well. We also ordered a side of chicken taquitos which came with a generous amount of sour cream and guacamole. The food was very good overall although the chunks of beef in my tamale were dry. The gentleman bussing tables was also friendly and considerate. Prices have definitely gone up but those are the times in which we live. There is street parking and an underground parking garage a short distance away. There are quite a few restaurants in the area so parking can be a little challenging. Today was the asada vVda burrito. Deassada was fresh, tender and juicy with lots of flavor. All the other ingredients blended well. It was on a smaller side but just enough. Albondigas was the worst of the order. It was hardly a soup that brought savory broth feeling and tender meatballs that comfort you. Instead the broth was super bland, meatballs were flavorless and too firm to cut with the. Had lots of veggies which was a plus if you like sweet with veggies which I do. I just wish they were also tender, swimming and good broth. Most restaurant serve fresh chips and salsa which they did. Complimentary chips were hard. This also was too heavy on oregano. Ordered some guacamole but had to ounce for them to cook fresh tosadas so we could eat with the guac instead of the hard chips. $14 wasn't too bad for the price and the portion. I did enjoy the one fish taco that I ordered. Was huge portion but stacked so high that you could barely close the tortilla. This is the first time I bought a flour. Tortilla worked well for the taco. It was also bland but I was able to salvage it with some of their spicy salsa that I requested. Places are heavy on the alcohol and drink menu which likely is a draw. I actually really love the Paloma which was non-alcoholic. However, the food must meet the mark and today I am sad to say it missed on several points For my standards.
