My favorite Mexican restaurant of all time! I've tried so many different ones and I keep coming back to this one. It's an authentic family owned restaurant which I love! I've been eating at this place since 2014 and I hope that they never go out of business. I'd be devastated. My go to order every single time is their wet burrito cheese and rice and the complimentary chips and salsa hit the spot. The service is also top notch and they make you feel like you're family.

Great little spot. We went for cinco de mayo and I was so happy there wasn't a line out the door for it, we sat quickly and got our food quickly. The owner is so kind, he was walking around talking to everyone, which I appreciate. It seemed like a lot of guests were regulars, which I also love. A true community gem. We got the cheese enchiladas which were delicious! We also got a chicken taco, I didn't love the taste of it, mostly dark meat chicken, it was good but not my vibe. Only downside is they don't have high chairs for children but my daughter sat in my lap and enjoyed her food!

I had a fantastic experience at Mexican Riviera Restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with vibrant decor that really sets the mood. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the meal. The food was the highlight--everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and you can tell they put care into every dish. The salsa and chips were a great start, and the main courses were even better, with perfectly balanced spices and authentic taste. I had the green chilaquiles and requested 1/2 rice 1/2 beans and would highly recommend the dish ! What really stood out was the consistency in both service and quality. It's the kind of place you can go to whether you're having a casual meal or celebrating something special. I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Mexican food and a great dining experience. Also has great parking and if you're in the torrance area this is a great place to come and give a try ! (4239 pch torrance ca) in between cvs & ross :)

I went to Mexican Riviera on 12/5/25. I ordered one of the Friday specials the 2 Baja fish tacos with beans and rice for $14. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and shown a table. They had complementary chips and salsa. Rating 6/10 chips did not taste warm / fresh. Salsa was watery but good flavor. The rice and beans had a good flavor and a decent portion rating 9/10. The Baja fish tacos had a huge portion (see picture) of cold shredded cheese, red cabbage, tomato and under all of that they had a few pieces of the thin fried fish. They also did not serve lemon/ limes with the fish tacos I had to request. Rating for Baja fish tacos: 4/10 They also did not come to refill my water. The employees also seemed like they were playing with one another, hiding someone's phone, blaming each other, calling names. Overall they service was good and quick, the food is a good price with lots of options for specials. But if you want good authentic Mexican this is not the spot, there are much better places in the South Bay. I will not be back but I am glad I visited!

The food is delicious, prices are excellent, service is the best in South Bay, and it feels like you're at your family's house for dinner. Cannot recommend this place enough. My favorite is the Pastor street tacos and junior cali burrito!

The Mexican Riviera: Mazatlán. Puerto Vallarta. Cabo San Lucas. You can slap down $700, book a flight and grab an authentic Mexican dish there. Or - you can get in your car and drive to Torrance and have the same thing. Wifey put me in charge of scouting a restaurant before braving the slammed-yet-festive Christmassy neighborhoods of Sleepy Hollow just to the west. So I hit my trusty Yelp app and made our discovery. It's a diamond in the rough! It has the feel of a family-owned op' and they do a great job, serving everyone with a smile. The ambiance is simple, unassuming. The food is REAL Mexican and it is happening. Nothing phoned in or hurried. And, yes, they serve alcohol. We have our favorite joints here in the Slauson/La Cienega area - gotta say, Mexican Riviera blew them all away. Cue the mariachis...we're headed to The Riviera, baby!

Being a Thursday morning, it wasn't too crowded and parking was easy. We walked in and found the cutest, coziest little mom and pop diner. Taking a few minutes to look at the menu and specials board, we decided on the Big Blue Pancake Special and the French Toast Supreme. I wasn't very hungry that morning so my wife had the larger order which she was very happy with. I sampled the pancakes and sausage which were quite good. The french toast was just enough to satisfy my appetite with a hot black coffee. I really want to come back and try their homemade hash which seems to be the specialty. Service was fantastic. Both the server and the gentleman busing the tables were great about checking on us and making sure I had enough coffee. Unlike some chain restaurants where you have to hunt someone down for a refill of water or beverage. Service gets an A+ from me. I can hardly wait to come back and sample some of their other choices. By the way, even LAPD was eating here. If you know any police or fire fighters, you know they don't eat at places that don't have a good rep. I kinda like the idea that no knuckleheads are coming in to rob a place I'm eating at

The roast beef hash is a stand out dish. Served with hash browns thank you. It's very meaty flavorful, not canned. Texas omelette is their chili omelette. Long winded. I've been craving a chili omelette and could not find a decent one I can eat. I have some limitations. Can't eat bell peppers or egg yolk, shouldn't eat cheese, canned chili messes up my stomach. One place, does it have bell peppers, no, ok, egg whites and no cheese. It arrives with no cheese topping but cheese inside, can't eat it, dumbaxxes. THEIRS HERE, outstanding. Turkey anything has real turkey, not lunchmeat. Onion rings are the beer batter type and very good. It's stupidly difficult to find good ones, they're here. Minor details matter. The little bowl of salsa is extremely good. I prefer the watery type like this over the thick kind. Pepper, most of the time I end up removing the cap because it barely comes out, not here. Parking very easy with their own large lot with a nice garden in the rear. Service outstanding every time, even the buss boy is on top of getting your beverage of choice quickly and keeping it topped off. It's been several years, they really turned it around. Any nitpicky issues are so minor they're not worth mentioning. There's a new king of cafe / coffee shop type of restaurant in the South Bay.

I'm still on my quest for the ultimate tuna melt, so decided to give theirs a try. It was delicious; the tuna mix was likely the tastiest I've found in my travels so far. A choice of sides came with it; I chose a decent-sized salad. Took at peak at what other diners were having, and everything I saw looked really good. Place was busy, which is always a good sign. I got there around little after noon, and only had a five minute wait myself. (Apparently, they were open late once upon a time, but important to keep in-mind they close at 3p these days.) My server was helpful, friendly and efficient. Atmosphere was everything I'd want in a diner. A great choice when one is remotely in the area!

After coming here a few times for drinks, we decided to come in to sit and eat for brunch on the weekend. Before arriving, we put ourselves on the yelp waitlist, which was estimated for a 25 minute wait. We ended up waiting for over a hour. The yelp waitlist is basically not acknowledged until you physically check in with the host, and even after then, expect a wait. As for the food, everything tasted citrus-y. We ordered pancakes, and the chicken and waffles, and everything had a taste of lemon. The pancakes and waffle were topped with lemon-butter (we had to ask for plain butter because we weren't aware the pancakes would be topped with lemon butter, though the waffle is), and even the chicken breast itself had a slight acidic/lemon taste. Having sour dairy wasn't our favorite. There are no combos here, so if you want bacon and eggs with your pancakes, you will need to order them each à la carte, or the waiter suggested to get a kids meal, which is the only way to get a breakfast combo. This made it expensive compared to other breakfast spots because everything was charged separately. Overall, this was a one and done for us. We love their drinks and will continue to come for to-go lattes, but as for their sit-down restaurant, we will pass the next time around.

The salty and savory compliment the sweetness from all the chocolate chips. I was stuffed at the end. I finished my plate and had to be rolled out of there like a broken down tire. Phew. Amazing.
