For starters I have come to this place often and the service and food always very good.. Today I came and ordered a fiesta platter my son had two hard shell ground beef tacos and my daughter had the Carne asada fries ... The Tacos were not good the beef was not seasoned the shell was not deep fried shell it was the ones you buy in a box at the store the juice from the meat wasn't drained and when I pick the taco up everything fell out because it had sat in juice and made shell soggy ..the fiesta platter was ok I asked my daughter about the Carne asada fries and she said it was probably 15 fries that was topped with beans and cheese very little carne asada and not seasoned well ... This is really disappointing to us as we love Mexican food but don't think we will be returning

After eating our food. So delicious

My impression of Alfredo's is different than what it was 30-40 years ago. My recollection from many years ago is that the menu was different, with more Yucatan inspired dishes, colorful presentations, and many items I couldn't order at other Mexican restaurants. There are some Yucatan-inspired items today, but most of the menu seems to be the same as those found at other Mexican restaurants. One of their special items is a Burrito Boxito, a pork burrito with a dark mole style sauce. I'll make a general observation in the way of a comparison - beans usually come in red or black varieties, and if you like black beans you'll probably like this burrito. I was here once with someone else who didn't care about this item; they admitted they didn't like dark sauces, but I liked them. The Enchiladas Puebla also had the dark mole on top of the chicken enchiladas. I think that the addition of the rice and beans on the side made this a more pleasurable meal than the Burrito Boxito. Another specialty is the Cochinita Pibil, a slow roasted pork, marinated in a citric juice, onions, beans, and rice, with tortillas on the side. I found the pork on the dry side, which was acceptable at first but became a little more of a chewing exercise as I continued with the dish. The Sopes are simple but colorful and good. Most of the menu has the typical fare of a Mexican restaurant. I found that most of the items fell into an average category. However, that being said, my most recent recents were more of return to what I fondly remember from decades past. The restaurant is getting on the old side, but it's clean, service has always been attentive and friendly, and there's lots of parking in the back.

Alfredo's has become a regular for Mexican food. They greet you with a "Welcome Back" as you walk in. The staff couldn't be more accommodating and the food is excellent. Choose anything on the menu and you'll be pleased. See previous reviews.

Wet machaca burritos is always a crowd-pleasing option with me.

This spot will address your desire for Mexican food. I enjoyed my machaca burrito (pictured). It was HUGE and filled with all the goodies you would expect. This is a great family-owned restaurant that serves delicious food and provides exceptional service, along with a large parking lot! I enjoyed the atmosphere that has 2nd and 3rd generation family members working there! Expect a good chip basket and house salsa. Their domestic beer price is also very reasonable. #BIEN

My sister has been saying how much she loves this place so I thought I give it a try. Well..... I was there around noon not busy at all. I was greeted and got a seat easily. Just looking around taking a glance the place looks run down some and can use a new look. It just needs some updating. The parking lot is nice and big so no problem about parking since, it is on a street that's hard to find parking. The chips and salsa wasn't bad it didn't have a spice to it but it had a little flavor. I ordered one cheese enchilada with a ground beef taco combination. The enchilada sauce was the BEST! The enchilada and rice was the best thing on that plate. Beans looked watery or oily? Wasn't sure what it was as I picked up my taco to take a bite and whatever they have the beef sitting in, maybe they don't drain it? But pure water/oil came out all over my plate. I couldn't eat it. The "juice" was all over my plate now. It was gross. I put my hand on the bottom of my taco and squeezed to see how much came out I put the taco back down and I was done. The waitress I had was very nice.

Absolutely loved the food we got here. They serve your typical Mexican cuisine and also more specialty Yucatán dishes. All the workers were very nice, but service was slow. When it's busy, it seems that they don't have a good system down for making sure all tables get checked on. Even so, I was so wowed by the food that I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone.

Got the 2 item combo with a beef taco and a chicken enchilada. Both items were good. However, there is a distinct seasoning in the beef that makes it different than what I normally taste with the my beef tacos. I'll probably get chicken or pork next time. Overall, solid Mexican food.

I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. Overall, this is a no-frills taco spot where the focus is on the food. Easy choice when you're in the mood for tacos.

I am soooooo PICKY with my salsa. They absolutely nailed this salsa. The flavor, spice level, texture!!! It hit every single mark in my brain and taste buds. If the house salsa is good, then you know the food is also going to smack. The menu looks so appetizing, it was honestly hard to decide what I wanted to eat. I ordered some steak nachos as an appetizer with my friends based on a photo I saw on Yelp. 12/10. beautiful!!! They put a healthy portion of meat on it! Everything was just so spot on. The tortilla chips were all crunchy, no soggy nacho chips here. The sour cream, guac, pico... please order it. The meat was so flavorful, tender and had like no fatty pieces on it. Everyone needs to try it honestly. I ended up going simple and ordered a steak torta with everything on it. The waiter offered a side of jalapenos as well, which I happily accepted. 10/10. I was only able to eat half. I gave the other half to my extremely picky father and he liked it a lot. That's how you know this place is that girl. Can't forget the dessert. I ordered the flan, the waiter convinced us.. he said its home made. Which I would hope! It was a small piece and was flavorful. Creamy, smooth, just melt into your tongue. Also melts into your heart. Not overly sweet. Just the right amount of cajeta on it. 10/10. Horchata was very tasty to me. Right amount of sweetness to it. Service was good. Drinks were always filled, salsa and chip refills were always offered and filled. He took great care of us. They gave us lollipops with the check!! Omg so cute, my heart! Parking is difficult as it is only street parking. Majority of the parking also gets taken by the customers who go to the coffee shop across the street. I am def bookmarking this place to come back. The menu was also difficult to read because many of the prices had faded badly -- they really need to go over the board with a Sharpie so first-time customers can actually see the prices clearly. I ordered the birria plate. The portion of meat was very generous -- probably at least half a pound -- and it came with a few standard tortillas, a small bag of chopped onion, cilantro, plus three lemon wedges. It also included a small side of refried beans with cheese on top, which was unremarkable, and some mushy Mexican rice that could have been much better. The meat itself was definitely the best part of the meal. It also came with a small container of consommé, but it was only lukewarm even though I had driven just 10 minutes away, so the food overall could have been hotter. There was only one hot sauce included, and I didn't care for it at all. I also missed the usual fresh radish slices and the standard red or green salsa options that many birria places provide. The food was packaged nicely, but overall I was expecting better for the price. It came to above $18, which felt overpriced for the quality, especially considering there's no dine-in option. While there was enough meat for two people, I personally would have preferred slightly smaller portions with better overall quality and sides. I've definitely had better birria elsewhere, which is why I'm giving this rating.
