Food: We ordered raviolis with cream sauce, and came with side salad, and bread and butter, and cheese with avocado sandwich, and tiramisu. All we're excellent except the side salad, which was meh. Otherwise, overall delish! Service: the staff was super friendly and nice. They made sure that I didn't want meat in the sandwich. I told them I'm vegetarian. Ambiance: Even though we got our food to go, the ambiance has that warm and welcoming feeling to it. You know instantly that it's a mom and pop's establishment. We went during the lunch hour so they were busy. Parking is limited.

For starters I have come to this place often and the service and food always very good.. Today I came and ordered a fiesta platter my son had two hard shell ground beef tacos and my daughter had the Carne asada fries ... The Tacos were not good the beef was not seasoned the shell was not deep fried shell it was the ones you buy in a box at the store the juice from the meat wasn't drained and when I pick the taco up everything fell out because it had sat in juice and made shell soggy ..the fiesta platter was ok I asked my daughter about the Carne asada fries and she said it was probably 15 fries that was topped with beans and cheese very little carne asada and not seasoned well ... This is really disappointing to us as we love Mexican food but don't think we will be returning

After eating our food. So delicious

My impression of Alfredo's is different than what it was 30-40 years ago. My recollection from many years ago is that the menu was different, with more Yucatan inspired dishes, colorful presentations, and many items I couldn't order at other Mexican restaurants. There are some Yucatan-inspired items today, but most of the menu seems to be the same as those found at other Mexican restaurants. One of their special items is a Burrito Boxito, a pork burrito with a dark mole style sauce. I'll make a general observation in the way of a comparison - beans usually come in red or black varieties, and if you like black beans you'll probably like this burrito. I was here once with someone else who didn't care about this item; they admitted they didn't like dark sauces, but I liked them. The Enchiladas Puebla also had the dark mole on top of the chicken enchiladas. I think that the addition of the rice and beans on the side made this a more pleasurable meal than the Burrito Boxito. Another specialty is the Cochinita Pibil, a slow roasted pork, marinated in a citric juice, onions, beans, and rice, with tortillas on the side. I found the pork on the dry side, which was acceptable at first but became a little more of a chewing exercise as I continued with the dish. The Sopes are simple but colorful and good. Most of the menu has the typical fare of a Mexican restaurant. I found that most of the items fell into an average category. However, that being said, my most recent recents were more of return to what I fondly remember from decades past. The restaurant is getting on the old side, but it's clean, service has always been attentive and friendly, and there's lots of parking in the back.

Alfredo's has become a regular for Mexican food. They greet you with a "Welcome Back" as you walk in. The staff couldn't be more accommodating and the food is excellent. Choose anything on the menu and you'll be pleased. See previous reviews.

Wet machaca burritos is always a crowd-pleasing option with me.

This spot will address your desire for Mexican food. I enjoyed my machaca burrito (pictured). It was HUGE and filled with all the goodies you would expect. This is a great family-owned restaurant that serves delicious food and provides exceptional service, along with a large parking lot! I enjoyed the atmosphere that has 2nd and 3rd generation family members working there! Expect a good chip basket and house salsa. Their domestic beer price is also very reasonable. #BIEN

My sister has been saying how much she loves this place so I thought I give it a try. Well..... I was there around noon not busy at all. I was greeted and got a seat easily. Just looking around taking a glance the place looks run down some and can use a new look. It just needs some updating. The parking lot is nice and big so no problem about parking since, it is on a street that's hard to find parking. The chips and salsa wasn't bad it didn't have a spice to it but it had a little flavor. I ordered one cheese enchilada with a ground beef taco combination. The enchilada sauce was the BEST! The enchilada and rice was the best thing on that plate. Beans looked watery or oily? Wasn't sure what it was as I picked up my taco to take a bite and whatever they have the beef sitting in, maybe they don't drain it? But pure water/oil came out all over my plate. I couldn't eat it. The "juice" was all over my plate now. It was gross. I put my hand on the bottom of my taco and squeezed to see how much came out I put the taco back down and I was done. The waitress I had was very nice.

Absolutely loved the food we got here. They serve your typical Mexican cuisine and also more specialty Yucatán dishes. All the workers were very nice, but service was slow. When it's busy, it seems that they don't have a good system down for making sure all tables get checked on. Even so, I was so wowed by the food that I would definitely recommend coming here to anyone.

I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. Overall, this is a no-frills taco spot where the focus is on the food. Easy choice when you're in the mood for tacos.

This review is about Tacos El Goloso, located at 1605 Pacific Coast Hwy, Harbor City, CA…read more My daughter is an EMT. While on duty, she stopped at this location and placed an order. Before her food was ready, she received an emergency call and had to leave immediately. That's the reality of being a first responder--when a call comes in, you leave immediately, no time to wait for your meal. Before leaving, she politely asked the cashier to cancel the order and refund her card. Instead of showing understanding or offering assistance, the cashier was dismissive and unhelpful. After completing the call, my daughter contacted the restaurant, apologized for the inconvenience, and again requested a refund. She was initially told that the receipt had been thrown away. Later, the receipt was apparently found, but she was then informed that if she wanted a refund--or even the food she had paid for--she would have to return to the location in person. The problem is that she lives more than an hour away and was only in the area because she was working. I called the following day in an attempt to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I was met with the same attitude. The employee refused to provide her name, refused to provide a manager's name, and refused to provide any contact information for someone who could address the complaint. To be clear, this is not about the cost of a meal. Had the employee been courteous, professional, or even remotely helpful, we likely would have let the matter go. Emergencies happen. Schedules change. We understand that. What prompted this review was not the lost food or the refund itself--it was the employee's rude attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete unwillingness to help resolve a simple customer service issue. I will also acknowledge that by the end of my phone call, I became frustrated and was not as polite as I should have been. I regret that. However, that frustration came only after repeated attempts to handle the situation respectfully and being met with rudeness and resistance at every turn. A business can recover from a mistake. What it cannot afford is employees who treat customers with contempt and then refuse to provide any way to contact management when a legitimate concern is raised. Management should be aware that this employee's behavior reflects poorly on the entire business. If this is how customers are treated when they encounter an unexpected emergency, then potential customers deserve to know before choosing to spend their money here.

The menu was also difficult to read because many of the prices had faded badly -- they really need to go over the board with a Sharpie so first-time customers can actually see the prices clearly. I ordered the birria plate. The portion of meat was very generous -- probably at least half a pound -- and it came with a few standard tortillas, a small bag of chopped onion, cilantro, plus three lemon wedges. It also included a small side of refried beans with cheese on top, which was unremarkable, and some mushy Mexican rice that could have been much better. The meat itself was definitely the best part of the meal. It also came with a small container of consommé, but it was only lukewarm even though I had driven just 10 minutes away, so the food overall could have been hotter. There was only one hot sauce included, and I didn't care for it at all. I also missed the usual fresh radish slices and the standard red or green salsa options that many birria places provide. The food was packaged nicely, but overall I was expecting better for the price. It came to above $18, which felt overpriced for the quality, especially considering there's no dine-in option. While there was enough meat for two people, I personally would have preferred slightly smaller portions with better overall quality and sides.
