Ive been here before few years ago and even back then this place wasnt that great.... decided to give this place another shot it still wasnt great. Its not bad but its not good either. The service was great but the food noo. The salsa was watered down and kinda had no flavor. Along with the enchiladas all that sauce still No flavor and the rice and beans were salty. My friend got the tamarind drink as well she said it was too watered down and sugary we gave it back. They did have live mariachi band i guess every Friday.

Really awesome service, our server was attentive and our food came out quick. I got the chilaquiles and they were good! I wish the eggs were already included in the pricing but this was an additional cost. I got the green sauce and it was perfect, spicy but still enjoyable. Food was good, only thing is that the beans did have a little crust which indicated that they weren't fresh. Overall really good place to check out with something for everyone.

Chips didn't taste fresh and salsa was bland

Came here a few more times after my last review and the experiences were better. We came in again last night and I definitely had to update my review. We came in, party of 10, Saturday night. Boxing fight night, we thought it was going to be packed. Seating outside was better for our larger party and that was totally fine because the outside heaters really put in work. Our waitress was amazing. She was on top of everything, coming to our table very often to see if we needed anything and to pick up whatever wasn't needed. Our friends loved the food and the drinks, especially the Adelita. They also really liked the restaurant for it being their first time. Our bill came out to about $500 plus $100 tip was automatically added on our tab which was okay because our waitress did an amazing job. Also, when I'm not so hungry I usually get the Frida platter and it's soooo good and fulfilling. And all handmade tortillas!

Haven't been here for a long time... I'm glad we did, it was Happy Hour! We had the Frida platter & Taco Tasting, they were all good including the standard chips & salsa. It was a saucy salsa, chipotle & chile lime but very tasty. The taco tasting platter was sumptuous, distinct taste with each taco; asada, chicken, carnitas, pastor cochinita pibil, and pollo mole! The Frida platter had crispy taquitos, quesadillas, mini soles, & guacamole that are all so good... The mango margarita is definitely worth a try! The service is excellent from all the staff specially Jorge! The ambiance is truly modern with mostly wooden furniture, colorful striped booths, and traditional & modern Mexican music playing in the background... and they have outdoor seating too! This place needs more exposure in terms of signage and reviews like this... Thank You, Muchas Gracias Frida, We shall return!

Enchiladas Trio

First time eating here and the food was delicious and the ceviche was especially fresh. I will always get the table side fresh guac. And the enchiladas trio is everything you would hope for if you love variety. Service was ok and the margaritas were strong. Ambiance had a cool nightlife vibe. Will come back.

I'm loving this place. Good vibe. Attentive servers and delicious food and drinks! Outside seating is perfect for a night time celebration. Heaters are provided and the backyard feels was giving. A good spot to watch basketball games!

As you enter the vibes are pretty chill. We came here for a date night with friends. We made a reservation and everything went smoothly with service and food and experience as well. We started off with their Frida platter that's one of our favorites & drinks to start before our meal. Their chips and salsas are great and very flavorful especially the red one. Our waiter was very attentive and was able to split our check in two. Our food was delicious and warm and flavorful like always, I appreciated that they brought out several little baskets of chips as I love chips and salsas. This place is great! Sundays they have Mariachi and a buffet as well that's full of different flavors and so worth the $. Can't wait to be back!!

The food is very good. They have a lot of different flavors. The service is impeccable, very professional. The ambience is pretty good. Note that it's a bit pricy. But very solid date spot.

This dish was not at all pleasant.

The food isn't great, I'd say it's better than food from a food truck! And the service was terrible, nobody attended to us, and finally we asked for takeaway containers and they didn't have any.

HORRIBLE ! I came and sat at the bar for happy hour 9pm, I ordered my drink and had NOT yet touched it when I realized that I left my wallet in the car and told the bartender (Reynoldo) that I was going to my car that was parked in the front. He told me "no you need to leave your ID" I said "no I haven't even touched the drink even if I wanted to leave I could" (I didn't even move it) he insisted that I leave my ID. I told him I'm not leaving my ID I'm going to the car to get my wallet. I asked to speak to the manager. I told her or him (there was two he pointed to when I asked who was the manager) they were both very hesitant and I again repeated my car was right in the front I even have the Make and color of my car ! I only came back in because I drove all the way here and I did want my drink. I will not ever return to this location. Why would I run off on a $13 happy hour margartita that i had not even touched.

This place is located at the Del Amo Mall. The food is good and the service was great. The restaurant is beautiful. We came here to celebrate my niece's graduation. They were able to quickly accommodate a part of 14. This place is a bit pricey.

Everything tasted incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. We ordered the carne asada and carnitas, and both were amazing. The meat was tender, flavorful, and not fatty at all just perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. My daughter had the bean and cheese burrito with rice and beans and loved it too. They bring out three different salsas with the chips, and each one had its own unique flavor. You can tell the chips are house-made because they're fresh, crisp, and just really good. Some Mexican restaurants can make things overly salty, but everything here tasted balanced and fresh. I also had a Paloma and it was made perfectly. Before we left we decided to try the churros and I'm so glad we did. They were filled with this amazing cream and came with a caramel sauce for dipping. I'm not usually a big dessert person, but these were seriously incredible. Great location, great service, amazing food, and everything tasted fresh and well made. We will definitely be back!

Service was very friendly and attentive and we were promptly seated and served fresh chips along with a trio of salsas which were fresh and had the perfect levels of spice. My son had the kids enchilada and enjoyed his meal. I ordered 3 tacos from the à la carte menu. The chicken was fine but the fish and shrimp were undercooked and I couldn't eat them, which is why I deducted the one star. The other deduction was for the underwhelming flavors in the meals themselves. Usually when a Mexican restaurant had amazing salsa, the same vibe carries through with the entrees , but unfortunately it wasn't my experience. I would probably try once more and edit my review based on a second experience.

When the craving hits, it's always tacos!…read more I stopped by Tacos El Goloso on PCH and ordered a mix of street tacos (carnitas and al pastor) along with the tacos dorados de birria. I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. Overall, this is a no-frills taco spot where the focus is on the food. Easy choice when you're in the mood for tacos.

We ordered a side of guacamole, which my daughter loved. Her and I shared a three taco plate with rice and beans. We had the fried cod, asada and carnitas. I'll be right there. The tacos were definitely sizable and we weren't able to finish our share plate. Good flavor loved the freshly fried fish steak crispy even with a huge mound of guacamole on top. The Carnitas had a cinnamon flavor which I've never had anywhere else before, but I surprisingly liked it. Must try our Max's Margs. And my daughter said the best Shirley Temple's she's ever had. There's street parking everywhere, though you may need to hunt for it a bit during rush hours. Vida has both indoor and outdoor seating, I personally would recommend the outdoor area with the sunny weather we've been having, as the indoor area doesn't really have AC from what I could tell. Regardless, the place has a great vibe. Service was awesome, our server was prompt and checked up on us throughout the meal, and everything came very quick. On the food front, their chips and salsa are great, and I'm a fan of their guacamole. I got the 2 taco lunch special with an asada, a cod fish taco, and a side Caesar (you can also do rice and beans if you want instead). The fish taco was excellent, and the carne asada was pretty good (it was a bit on the dry side because of how crispy the meat was, but it was still tasty). The salad was also good too, though slightly overdressed. Overall, this is a great spot for lunch or an early dinner, and I absolutely recommend checking it out.
