A couple years ago I got a delivery order that wasn't great but tacos aren't necessarily ideal for delivery in general. I got plain nachos which had an enjoyable pico de gallo, plus a chorizo taco. Ordered the pork ribs with green sauce, Chorizo gordita and tamales verde. All the dishes were tasty and delicious. The gordita was fresh, well portioned with the filling. Loved the red sauce, it was delicious and had a brilliant deep heat that I love. The tamales verde was soft and filled with chicken, every bite was flavourful. The ribs were the best, perfectly cooked and the rice with refried beans went so well with it. The only thing was that they goofed up by mixing the green sauce when I asked for it on the side. But must say it did not make a difference in the taste. The last thing was the strawberry lemonade which was tad too sweet for my liking. Came to the restaurant on a Monday at 2:45. Dinning room was small but cleaned and uncluttered. Would consider this to like a drive Mexican restaurant with menu of Tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. Spanish music playing for a nice touch. I got the enchiladas with red sauce. It was spicy and tasty! despite the very hit or miss reviews, i actually liked the food here. its incredibly cheap, and i didnt think it was so bad. theres a few seats inside to sit at and the service was quick. the tinga chicken gordito was my favorite. and the cheese tamale was nice. i would come back while downtown and get a quick bite to go. salsas had good flavor too. read more

100% not the spot for vegetarians - my quesadilla was a disappointment in taste and quality. No flavor. No beans. Salsa very watery. We ordered off UberEats, deliver was quick and prompt which I appreciated but tasted soo bland I opened a bottle of salsa to douse ontop to eat. Every time I've walked by this spot I remind myself I need to give them a try. Since this was our first time ordering we opted for a spread of tacos and one of their platter to try a little bit of everything. Our delivery got here super quick. It only took 20 minutes from ordering which was really promising! For starters, everything was packaged really well and I loved that they used a container with compartments for the platter. When it comes down to the food my partner and I were underwhelmed. While the sauce on the Bistec a la Mexicana was solid the yellow rice was borderline inedible. Below the top layer it was soggy, gloopy, and had a visible layer of moisture. On the flip side, I appreciated the fresh salad that came on the side. After trying the tacos I think platters and other dishes are more their specialty. Out of the three we ordered, the grilled chicken was the highlight. The carnitas tasted OFF. In all honesty it might've been on the way out. We took one bite and focused on the other tacos. Since moving to JC I've been blown away by all of the quality eats. While I'm usually down to give second chances and I was curious about their tamales, I don't think I'd be back after the off tasting pork. read more

One star is a gift! I would give zero stars. This place is terrible! We ordered delivery late last night as they have a late night menu. It took almost an hour to get the food and when it arrived it was super messy-- as though the food road a roller coaster on its way over. And it was not as described on the menu. I called twice. First time to check on the order and the second to ask why items were missing. The girl on the phone was snippy and rude!!! Super unprofessional. I was hoping this place would be good as it was raining and my daughter really wanted nachos. I specifically made sure to double check my order. I called to see if they would remedy the mistake and whomever answered the phone apologized and said the cook only saw that I didnt order spicy. There was no offer to replace the order or even remove it from the bill. Ends up with me being sol because I ordered on Uber and they dont deliver to where I live. This is a great and authentic Mexican joint. It has a couple of things that are extraordinary. This is my third time ordering from here and they have yet to disappoint me. First lets start with the basics. Tex-Mex Quesadillas and nachos are good. This stuff is pretty basic and a standard of American Mexican restaurants. Its as good as it can be here. The Tacos are great. I have tried the steak version and they were good. The tortillas are fresh and the steak well cooked. But what I really like is the salsas. I dump the salsas on everything and it tastes almost like CDMX. And that leads me to my love for the place. Tamales taste authentic and fresh made like from the back of the tamale mans cart (!HAY TAMALES OAXAQUEÑOS, RICOS TAMALES CALIENTITOS¡) or in the big vat at some joint down in DF. The Alambre (meat topped with with peppers cheese onions) is delightful and a full portion of delicions meat, peppers and stretchy cheese. The Chile rellenos makes me wonder why I don't just sell my place and move to Polanco, learn more spanish, and spend my nights out eating like this every night with my new mexican family. I could sell all my stuff here and just go. Maybe I can even keep my job here and just work remotely so I can eat food like this all the time? Maybe I can get a part time gig selling my own small batch mezcal? I can go to the Chapultepec and chill out for lunch everyday.... Anyway, got off topic there for a minute. This is good, Authentic, Mexican food. The delivery came quick by electric bike and was hot and nice! Give it a shot if you like Authentic Mexican stuff or if you want good Tex-Mex. read more

Tacos overall were good, nothing to rave about but also not bad. The steak tacos were bomb in terms of flavor, the shrimp tacos were more popcorn shrimp (I personally prefer bigger shrimp with 2-3 in the taco versus a bunch of small ones). Ground beef taco was good but just ok like the shrimp. Would return if passing by for an order of all steak tacos. Guac was also pretty good but my bf felt like it was 90% tomatoes. read more

When I called to receive the correct order CINDY OTRIZ denied HER mistake but sent another order out. Waiting another 40 mins i received the wrong order AGAIN after correcting CiNDY. I placed an order through seamless, delivery eta was 8:25-8:35pm. At 8:50, I called the restaurant to find out the status of my order. I called numerous times until 9:00pm and no one answered the phone. I then contacted seamless who informed me that my order had been cancelled. I had a bad feeling that something was wrong on their end in regards to orders when I received a call asking if my food was delivered.. five minutes after ordering. I have never ordered from here, and was looking forward to trying the food. If there is an issue on your end and you are not able to fulfill a customer's order, you should communicate that to them and not just cancel their order. read more
