Stopped in on a whim on a Friday. Bar was lively. Sat in a booth and server was very prompt. I unfortunately found the food lacking. The salsa was very bland and chips where bland and no salt. Ordered chicken and shrimp fajitas and they were not seasoned at all. Very bland. The homemade tortilla's were good. The restaurant looks recently updated and very appealing from the road. Decided to stop in here for lunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Atlanta. Upon arrival there was no one at the hostess stand so we waited a few minutes to be seated. When the host areived, we where immediately seated outside on the patio. We started with a 16oz Texas Margarita on the rocks & an 8oz frozen margarita. The 8oz is super small, so if you really want to have a good time, go for the 16 oz or larger! I ordered carnitas which tasyed good, but not much meat if you ask me. I have had much larger portions at similar Mexican restaurants. Overall the service was good and the food was tasty. Drinks were not too strong, but nice. If you are a light drinker, you will love them. If you're a real drinker you may be disappointed lol. But I love Mexico Lindo and I would come here again. Mexico Lindo is right near our gym and my boyfriend mentioned he had driven by it for years. Well, yesterday after our workout we ordered our cheat snack - chips and guacamole to go. Walking in, it was nice and cool. There was a good amount of people for a Sunday afternoon. They have outdoor seating but I didn't see anyone sitting out there, although we only ordered to go so I didn't get a chance to scope out the full space. I spotted hat they have multiple large screen TV's everywhere - which is great for game night. ALSO, I like that they have trivia night and poker night. I believe Poker Night is on Monday evenings and Trivia is on Wednesday's. They have specials for the evenings they have events which is Monday - Thursday. Who doesn't love specials? While we were waiting for our order to come out, we looked over the menu. Everything looked soooo good! The chips and guacamole were really good. The chips were served warm and the guacamole was very fresh and delicious! I will update my review once we go back. read more

This was my first visit to this location, and I had high hopes as I am a frequent patron of the Smyrna location, but sadly my experience here was less than stellar for multiple reasons. Upon arrival, we were greeted pretty quickly and offered seating immediately, so things were off to a good start. We decided to sit outside on the covered patio, as they were not social distancing in the inside dining room, despite all the signage they had up around the restaurant. Once we were sat, we got our chips and salsa fairly quickly, but from there...it was sadly all down hill. Service was abysmal - our server was nice, but not efficient. He came by a few minutes after our chips were delivered to get our drink orders. We ordered cocktails and cheese dip, and while the cheese dip came out fairly quickly, the drinks took about 15 minutes to get back to us. Upon delivery of our cocktails, he quickly turned around to run back inside, so again we waited. When he came back we ordered our food. Our food came out 1 by 1, with about 3 - 5 minutes between each dish, with the last one of us getting our dish 10 minutes after the first person...and there were only 4 of us. So, by the time the last person got their meal, two of us had already finished ours. Additionally, when they brought out the first plate, we asked the food runner for some utensils and napkins. He verbally agreed and then never came back to the table. We had to get up to go locate someone to get us utensils so we could start eating. Overall, the service was just bad. It wasn't just slow, it was almost non-existent. Food wise, I knew exactly what to expect...or at least I thought so. The food was mediocre and a lot smaller in portion size than I remember from the other location. Let's start with the cheese dip. We ordered queso with jalapenos. What we got was a bowl of thin, lukewarm queso with a side of sliced pickled jalapenos. The queso itself didn't really have much flavor to it, so you needed the peppers. For entrees, we got a variety of items from a burrito, enchilada, tacos and chilaquiles. The burrito was good, but small. It was legit the size of an enchilada. Personally, I got the Chilaquiles. What I got was basically nachos with a red sauce instead of cheese dip. Normally Chilaquiles features the bed of chips cooked and tossed in the sauce along with the chicken and in this case, chorizo. However, they clearly just put a bed of chips on a plate and drizzled the sauce over the chips and then stacked all the toppings including the chicken, sour cream, cilantro, chorizo and avocado. All the dishes garnered a solid "meh" from everyone at the table and that was disappointing. The place is very nice, sits right on the side of Veterans Memorial, has ample parking, loads of TV's and a fantastic covered patio with an open-air bar. However, with the clear service struggles and mediocre/underwhelming food, they clearly have some work to do! Overall, our visit was disappointing and I don't think we will be back anytime soon. read more

What in the world is going on inside Mexico Linda? Let me tell you- a little bit of everything. Indoor and out door seating. Extensive menu. Full bar and margaritas in any size. Appetizers, Drinks, entree was $64 before tip for two people. If there is a blind spot it's the wait staff. This place has a lot of regulars. A LOT. And so maybe check out the menu before you go? I felt indecisive and rushed. The menu has a lot of non-traditional items on it. Which is great. But Gordon Ramey would maybe tell them to reduce. I'm all about service and the food runners and the hostesses were attentive. But our wait staff person seemed lazy. You know the type. You'll have to ask for everything more than once. Doesn't really want to answer menu questions. I mean it's fine. But not memorable. We asked the runners for suggestions or to name a dish they had just delivered to other tables. They were great. Attentive. We went on a Friday night so the dress code seemed kind of sassy- in the best way. Unless you'd just come from the pool - like us . Of course we tipped anyway. It is great for Mableton. Of course I'd go back. Maybe with lipstick and heels I'd give it a very high 3 for non locals and a 4 for locals. read more

Previously, I went to the other location in Smyrna and had excellent service. Last night at this spot, not so much. I got a table immediately even though my dining party was incomplete. Ok good. Waiter came around and this is where I became frustrated. He. Was. Slow. First, I asked for small plates to use for the chips and salsa. Never received them. Two, it took him forever to come back around to take our order after getting water. Same thing when it came to check time. Third, our frozen margaritas were barely frozen. It was about half melted when we got them. Not so much the waiter's fault, but it sucked. I would say come for the food which is great. Service is lacking and needs improving. PS----parking lot is small. Just be prepared in case anyone decides to bring a large group here for dining. read more

Let's just say we experience nothing less than a disaster yesterday... First, the waitress wasted, two glasses of ice water on my one year-old son!!! (we were sitting on the patio)... All she did was apologize and got us napkins! No manager came to the table to apologize or to make sure my baby was OK... !!! Fast forward my husband ordered the Texas nachos with no shrimp because he is allergic to shrimp... His Texas nachos came out in fact with shrimp on them!!! but we didn't realize until after he ate a couple of bites because they were kind of hidden under the peppers and steak! I had to call the waitress over and tell her "hey, my husband ordered his food with no shrimp and there is shrimp on his nachos... " Her response was "oh I rang it in with no shrimp" so she takes the plate to the kitchen... I requested his food "to go" because at that point he went to the car to throw up. The horror doesn't end there and guys .....they still bring me a check after everything that happened lol !!! but on the check it had my husband's margarita that he only took two sips of because after that he went to the car to throw up and never came back. It had my refried beans on there that I didn't eat because they were too salty, but my waitress never came back for me to tell her that & 2 sides of a sour cream that were $.75 each that we never ordered! So once I told the waitress I was not paying for all of that that's when the manager finally came over (so I'm assuming he didn't care about our experience he just cared about the financial gain.) so I asked him if he was aware of all the horrible things that had taken place and his response to me was "how am I supposed to know if no one told me " I replied "well your waitress should have let you know when the first incident happened in the restaurant industry, when things are going bad, the server should tell their manager, and the manager should come talk to the table! Mexico Lindo. My favorite place for authentic Mexican food in Atlanta. I've been here 3 times within the last 2 months with friends and family. We've celebrated birthdays and just good times here. The atmosphere is laid back with inside and outside seating. String lights outside which I love. I ordered my fav, Texas fajitas with double shrimp and chicken. The fajitas are served on a bed of grilled bell peppers and onions with a side of rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo, choice of tortillas: flour, corn or lettuce wraps. I always get corn. The shrimp in these fajitas are top of the line scrumptious and delicious. As a guacamole fiend, of course I ordered a bowl of fresh guac to go with mine. We also had a round of margaritas. Let's just say they are playing no games with the drinks here. I only could handle one drink as it was right!! The service was bad the server take a little bit to go to our table, we ordered cheese dip but it was so reduced with milk that looks like soup and it doesn't had flavor, we ordered fajitas but no meat around of the dish but it was full or onion, I order nachos supreme and you have to pay $1.50 extra if you want tomatoes and lettuce, totally disagreed because that's why they call them supreme.Please if you love Mexican food don't go there!!!!!! read more

Came to Georgia this weekend for Six Flags, I was craving mexican food and noticed this restaurant was in close range from the amusement park. The food did not meet any of my expectations, the rice was not fresh and the shrimp cocktail was served with minimal vegetables and no authentic taste. The draft beer that was ordered came out flat which was disappointing. The service was mediocre, I hope the food isn't always this disappointing but overall it wasn't my best experience. read more

We come in here on Taco Tuesdays of course! We always get tacos and they've always been fine. Nothing special with their tacos but good enough to come back for multiple visits. We've tried ground beef, steak, chorizo, and chicken. They have specials on cheese dips, guac and beers I believe. Horrible! Rude, racist, back stabbing, fake, and expensive. Cheese dip costs almost $8. I came there on my first visit there. I had just lost one of my very best friends who was also like a father and a grandfather to me on top of everything. He died from fentanyl. I had 1 Margarita and a very expensive queso cheese dip for the nachos. I felt alright. When it hit me about my friend I got upset and started crying and talking to one of my friends on the phone to comfort me. The gay male waiter came by and I have no problem whatsoever with anyone gay btw and asked me if I wanted another Margarita. I said sure. Tipped him very well and went on my way. I went back and had 1 beer at the bar np and left. Did that again a week later np and left. Today I go back in to do the same as before and am told by the lady bartender that they can't serve me there. Why??? Bc I had two Margaritas one day there and was crying talking to a friend on the phone bc my friend died!?!? I was shocked. Horrible. For one. How does a place have a big sign out front saying "Water? I love Mexican food and decided to try this restaurant after it had been a while since my last visit. This restaurant is conveniently located near me and its always a popular spot, especially on Tuesdays. I was pleasantly surprised by the fast service and my food being readty when i arrived for pickup. I opted to purchase the shrimp and crabmeat empanadas which seemed like a unique choice. My first impression, it looked very good. After a couple of bites, it appeared that the crabmeat may has been freezer burnt or out of date. Either way, it was not as tasty as it looked. I think the first time I had their taquitos (brisket) and queso (I love queso by the way! Lol). The chipotle aioli that comes on it is super delicious! My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Since then I try to order them every chance I get. I've also had their street tacos and flautas. There's so much more on their menu that I want to try! read more

Man, I have spent many a working lunch at Mexico Lindo! My former coworkers and I have split the pitchers of margarita so many times. It's very classic "Americanized" Mexican, but does it slap. My absolute favorite (and very gluttonous) dish on the menu is the queso fundido with chorizo. It's by no means healthy, and I have WITHOUT SHAME ordered it for my entree before. Those were the days lol. I have a hard time finding a better queso fundido. The chicken fajitas are also amazing. I started caring for my health (and cholesterol lol) around the time I stopped working nearby, so I made the transition from straight cheese for lunch to chicken fajitas without tortillas, and the quality was not lost. Their food is fresh and usually comes out pretty quickly! Mexico Lindo is great for big groups, especially if it's a nice day. There is a beautiful covered patio and the road is never too busy, so it doesn't get crazy loud. And even if it's not a nice day, the patio is still a good option as long as it's not tornado season. read more

I've passed this place numerous times and there's always a ton of cars in the parking lot so it was time to finally see what all the fuss was about. When we walked in, we were promptly greeted and seated and it felt like this was a friendly neighborhood place. Plenty of people were hanging at the bar but there weren't too many people at tables or booths so our waitress, Jessica (who was awesome by the way), came to our table pretty quickly. From glancing at the menu, I noticed they had something on the menu for any and everybody, from shrimp tacos to arroz con pollo to a Mexican cheeseburger. Of course you get the chips and salsa but we decided to try to the crab chowder queso and it was soooooo good. There was plenty of crab, poblano peppers, and corn. I settled on a mango margarita and the crab cake tacos which were 3 tacos for $9.95 which I thought was a pretty reasonable price. The food came out pretty fast and was hot and fulfilling. I can see why people like this place and it doesn't hurt that the service is really good (the servers seemed to all be in a really good mood). There's plenty of parking, so no worries about that. The one thing I was concerned about was the lighting but I had my bodyguard with me just in case anything funny went down. All in all...good food...good service... read more

Had drinks and dinner last Thursday with an old friend. I've been to Mexico Lindo multiple times but never left a review. This isn't a fancy schmancy restaurant. Most Mexican restaurants aren't. What this restaurant has is fast service and a nice patio to hang out on. I ordered shrimp tacos (too much purple cabbage and I'd prefer it to be a sweet sauce as opposed to curry). It was good but I'm a taco snob. It came with a side of rice and I added decried beans to the order. My friend is vegan and ordered a mango salad. She said it was really good with a nice sweet sauce. She also ordered guacamole, which was sooooo yummy. I love guac. We both ordered the margarita with the Corona in it. Forgot the exact name but it was good. And on top...the tip - times 2 - suggestions. Really? This establishment is now a "hole in the wall", food is terrible, drinks are bad, and tip.. 20%/22%/25%/ and on the receipt another "Suggested Additional Tip" list! Omg if I could give this place 10 stars I would. Parking is a little tight on busy nights but don't give up. The staff is great. They take reservations during the week but not on Friday and Saturdays. Baaaabay the drinks! The drinks! Honey get you a drink! They use a dry rub on their chicken wings but they are so delicious. I love how nice and accommodating the staff is. I love ice and the waitress would bring me cups of ice without me asking. It's not much but it meant a lot to me cause most waitresses don't care because it's just ice. You won't be disappointed with the service. read more

Unbelievable....I have been going to Mexico Lindo for many years. I even came back after their Health Department shut down was all over the news. I had a couple of hours to wait before going to choir rehearsal, so I decided to go there for a meal. I got here at about 10 minutes to 5 o'clock. I was immediately seated only to find myself still sitting here at 5:12 with no one coming by to even take my drink order yet alone my food order. It was not busy at all with very minimal customers during this time. I spoke to the manager before I left who didn't seem too concerned at the poor service I received. I would have felt better if she had acknowledged the improper customer service and apologized. Guess I won't sit around and wait for that. It's really a shame as I used to have a wonderful time at this establishment. I doubt if I'll be back. read more

The location is convenient. Inside is much more spacious than it appears outside. Parking is limited. Portion sizes are smaller than typical Mexican restaurants, which explains the affordable prices. This place gets busy quickly. We went on a Saturday afternoon. They were probably at 50% capacity. The host up front wasn't that knowledgeable and sat us somewhere without the servers being aware (or at least that's what appeared to have happened). We were seated about 20 minutes before being acknowledged by anyone. When our server Christian finally came over, there was no apology or explanation for the wait. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. He disappeared until the appetizer was ready soooo no drinks were brought to us until then (can you say thirsty). When we finally got our food, no napkins or silverware were provided. The food tasted just okay to me but a bit on the salty side which was a first for us at a Mexican restaurant. My biggest pet peeve was that when we wanted refills, the server took our glasses away instead of bringing a pitcher to the table. Luckily I was dining with my husband but otherwise that would have been unacceptable. My actual rating for the place is 2 1/2 stars. Probably won't return. read more
