We had a very nice meal at Mexico Lindo! The food was fresh, and very delicious. We had a party of six, and everyone had a hard time deciding what to order because of the large menu. The service was fair- I think we had a new waiter who was a little slow on drink refills, but that aside, our overall experience was great! Stayed in Myrtle Beach (January 2024) and ordered dinner Sunday night from Mexico Lindo. My wife and I were both stunned on how good this was. Some of the best Mexican we've had in a long time. Even the delivery was hassle fee and on time. I had the Burrito California, a very large burrito swimming in their cheese sauce, with rice and chicken inside the burrito. Super tasty and the portion was very generous. Also lots of guacamole and sour cream and I didn't even as for any extra. Very nice touch! The bargain of a lifetime was the refried beans. Under five bucks and it was HUGE! Overall, just solid, well made, generous sized and delivered on time. Highly recommended. read more

This place looks small from the outside but is very spacious inside. We were greeted at the door and the customer service was excellent. You get complimentary chips and salsa at the table. Both taste homemade. The salsa is a little spicy but I love spicy food. I certainly enjoyed It. I ordered the enchiladas. Loved the corn flour tortilla and both the red sauce and green sauce are delicious. The enchiladas were packed with chicken . A little too much chicken. Stopped in on a holiday Sunday. Greeted warmly and sat at the bar. Ordered a fancy Margarita and Casamigos anejo. The drinks were very good. Warm chips were served with salsa. For mains we chose Enchilada verde & chili releno. Both prepared fresh and hot they were really quite tasty. They have a huge menu and many specialty drinks. Our bartender proudly announced he created them all. Bartender was our server and he was friendly, attentive and efficient. The place got very busy quickly. It was about 7pm. We noticed that the bus staff was in the weeds. No worries for us as we were being served at the bar. There were a couple of very large groups being served. A very nice Mexican place. I would come here just for the margaritas. Which are only $2.99 each, strong and delicious. Their food on the other hand wasn't all that good or authentic. You can tell they target the tourists. You can always tell how good a Mexican restaurant is by how good their chips and salsa are. And their salsa was watery and bland. I had the steak wraped in corn tortillas with a side of rice and beans. The beef was overcooked and dry and flavorless. Tasted like it was cooked many hours ago and they just heated it up in the oven. Even the rice and beans wasnt good. Hubby had the mushroom quesadilla and that was decent but not great. And he also had the steak taco in soft tortilla and that was awful. Overall again food was disappointing. Our server was Daniel and he was friendly. 5 stars! My hubby has been here more than me and he's a very picky eater. He freeking loves this place. He's actually kept count over the last 30 years of Mexican places he's been to. "Taco Amigo" in Wisconsin is #1 because of the shredded beef burritos and this place is a close #2. We can both say that the fajitas are #1 in the world here. He's actually down at our Myrtle Beach home this week (Some people like me can't work from home so I'm up at home in WV) and when we've talked this week, the subject is this place. Hubby eats about 10 at night and this place is open late and the young man that helps him there is wonderful. The other restaurants in off season are closed or early to close. Went to this place tonight as a party of 25 softball players and parents. We researched and picked this place for large group event. Place was very accommodating in terms of booking, etc. Food was ok, maybe a little better than ok. At end of meal, a bunch of the adults freaked out. I mean got up on top of tables etc and freaked out. I was not sure what was going on. A RAT!!' Had fallen out of ceiling tiles and landed on floor and scurried across area where we were seated. Literally 20 people were running for higher ground. I was appalled but we had already eaten and was curious how the restaurant team would respond to the situation. ZERO. I asked for them to take the rice off my plate, and they told me they could not do that and I told him I am not paying for something that I did not eat. They are serving reheated rice. One of the servers forgot to put our shots on our tab, and we finished our meal and were walking out to the car and the man chased us down and said that we had to come back and pay for the shots even though they forgot them. Not to mention they were $10 each! And we sat for around 10 minutes after we paid, so he had every opportunity to come before then. On top of that, we asked for chips and salsa from our server, and we waited 30+ min for it, and ended up having to ask a different server to bring it. Overall not a great experience. read more

I had not been to this location for many years until this week My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the experience. They were packed, so we sat at the bar. The charming bartender did an excellent job of being our server while juggling his bartending duties. The chips were fresh and the salsa was flavorful. The spicy salsa was even better! Looked a good place to eat tonight and decided on this one. There was a wait of 15 minutes which is pretty good. The stream of people coming in seemed like a good thing. We were seated but no wait staff came to our table. About 10-15 minutes after sitting down someone dropped off a basket of chips and some salsa. No one came to our table to take our drink or food order despite several members of the wait staff walked by. After 20 minutes from being seated I got up and when to the hostess to ask who our server was. She had been very busy taking down names and seating people. She came immediately over and took out order. A few minutes later she brought our drinks and offered to make our kids food immediately as it was getting late. Their tacos arrived about 10 minutes later. My wife's food (a shrimp dish) came out 25 minutes after we put in our order (45 minutes after sitting down) and my tacos came 3-4 minutes after that. We received no utensils so I had to get some from the hostess station. My wife's shrimp dish was ok, but not great. My carne asada tacos had a lot of meat but the steak was not seasoned at all. I was also supposed to get a side of rice and beans but they never showed up. We finished eating and no one came to bring our check. We estimated what our check out be and left some cash to cover the bill. The issue seems to be a management problem. Some of the waitresses hustled (the hostess who helped us was running through the restaurant) but other waiters seemed to walk about. I am guessing we sat at a table that no waitstaff was assigned as the tables around us were served. read more

Very basic Mexican food. I was excited when we got in the parking lot and the restaurant wasn't packed, since everything else on the street was on a Friday night. I was hoping it's just because Mexican food isn't popular on the east coast. We first thought maybe we'd just take it back to the hotel but the hostess advised that they could not take to go orders because they were too busy. The restaurant was half full. That's sad. I got the taco and enchilada combo. Cheese enchilada was uninspired and I hope that was canned sauce because if it wasn't someone needed to hang up their recipe. I had a hard time cutting it in places with the side of my fork as well as a butter knife. Not sure why. The taco was a bright spot. Shell was crunchy and the meat had some flavor. It came with a huge serving of refried beans. My wife had the chalupa (which is a fried taco here) and enchilada. She didn't care much for any of it. We also ordered some queso, which was a thin, white, and flavorless cheese. The hot sauce wasn't very flavorful at all. The highlight was the order of jalapeños. I like some fresh jalapeño. They lightly heated three and served that with some onion slices. read more
