The food menu is the same as JR Phinickey's, burgers, dogs, flatbreads, etc. While deciding on what to eat, my wife and I slurped on a Mac & Jack and Bodhi for $6 each. We shared the Peanut Butter Bacon Cheeseburger for $17: peanut butter sauce, bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles. We opted for a side salad for an additional $1.50 in place of fries. We both enjoyed this fun burger version. Service was friendly and efficient. At the time, we couldn't check it out because we had our dogs with us. The name came up again at the Marysville Strawberry Festival, and when a friend was in town, we decided to give it a try after dinner. While I was born in the 80s, I wasn't exactly hanging out in arcades back then, so this was a bit of a nostalgic first. When you walk in, the walls are lined with pinball machines. There are a few other games scattered around, but pinball is definitely the star here. At the bar, I asked if there was more to the place, and the bartender pointed us to a "living room" behind the bar where you can sit and play Atari or the original Nintendo. The menus came in trapper keepers, complete with the satisfying Velcro sound, which was a fun touch. The guys jumped on the Atari first, but the joysticks didn't seem to work quite right. They moved on to the Nintendo, which was actually a Raspberry Pi loaded with multiple games. After a short stint there, we headed back out to the pinball area. I'm no pinball expert, but we happened to be there during a tournament, and the boys got schooled by some regulars, which made the experience a bit more fun. I also enjoyed the glass case filled with 80s miniatures and artifacts, and the vending machine stocked with nostalgic items like games, books, and snacks you'd expect from that era. Overall, it was a cool concept but felt a bit underwhelming. It's worth checking out once if you're in the area, but it's not a place we'll likely revisit.

Our visit to The Armory Pickleball Club in Marysville was unfortunately ruined by an extremely unprofessional interaction with the manager, Ryan. This was our first time visiting. I had created an account ahead of time and believed I had reserved a court from 5-7 pm, but the booking system is confusing and I never received a confirmation email explaining what I had actually reserved. When we arrived, there was no staff available to greet guests or help new players understand where to go. I walked the entire facility looking for someone and even called the phone number listed, but no one answered. Since all courts were full except one, we assumed that was associated with my reservation and the four of us (on a double date) began playing. Later in the evening, Ryan approached us in a very abrupt and accusatory way assuming we were sitting there drinking and using a court without permission. I immediately showed her my reservation and explained that this was our first time there. As soon as I realized the system likely required each person to pay individually for open play, I offered to pay for the additional three players right away. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism or helping clarify the confusion, Ryan continued speaking to us in a rude and confrontational tone that felt unnecessary and disrespectful. It was especially frustrating because we were trying to do the right thing and resolve the issue immediately. Adding to the poor experience, the women's locker room had no toilet paper, and many of the tables in the seating area were covered with dirty dishes and had not been cleared. For a facility promoting a social atmosphere, basic upkeep and hospitality seemed to be lacking that evening. We had actually been having a great time until this interaction, but the way Ryan handled the situation completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun date night. Because of the way we were treated, we will not be returning.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for me. As someone who's fairly new to the cigar world, I expected some smoke, but the air quality was extremely rough. Even the seasoned cigar smokers I was with commented on how hard it was to breathe. We asked if they could turn up the HVAC system, which they did, and it helped somewhat, but it still wasn't enough to make the space comfortable. My biggest issue, however, is the lack of compassion shown toward customers -- especially in how negative reviews are handled. The responses to criticism are surprisingly aggressive and defensive. Instead of acknowledging feedback or trying to improve, reviewers are often insulted, berated, and even told not to return. That kind of response is shocking and unprofessional. Most people are simply offering honest opinions as customers, not attacking the business. Whether it's the owners or whoever manages their social media, this approach needs serious reconsideration. Telling customers not to come back because of constructive criticism is not a sustainable or respectful business model.

How exactly are you supposed to dress it and eat it? My friend had the burger and fries. The burger was half the size of the bun. She literally removed 50% of the bun. It was also extremely well done. The fries were cold. They don't have decaf coffee, but I was able to order mint tea. It was brought in a cup that smelled like old coffee. The table had been cleared and I had no napkin and he didn't bring one with the tea. There was a slice of lemon I didn't want and I had no place to put it. There is potential here, I hope they pay more attention to providing a quality experience and food.
