We took a look at Yelp for a restaurant that was close to our hotel and found this one The food was excellent and on par with the best Southern California has to offer. This is our FAVORITE Mexican place in the county! Really good and they have made recent improvements to the inside. Looks really nice!

I want to start off with what we were given first: drinks. I ordered water and my husband got a coke. The water here is horrible. My water tasted like aluminum. The water was so bad that even their fountain sodas tasted like aluminum. He had to get a bottled coke. We both ordered chicken and steak fajitas. I asked that the fajitas not be fried in a ton of oil and they obliged; they were delicious and perfect. The guacamole was ehh, lacked flavor. It was just avocado mashed up. It was missing all the other ingredients that make guacamole wonderful. The rice that came with the fajitas was mushy, which means they cooked it with too much water. It also had the aluminum taste the water had. The corn tortilla that came with the fajitas weren't regular sized fajitas tortilla. They were street taco sized tortilla. I could barely fit two slices of meat on each tortillas. I wasn't able to load it up with the fajita veggies. The seating area of the restaurant was very clean and staff was friendly. read more

Just went to Mexico''s Grill for the second time. Both times the food was excellent and the staff was proficient and friendly. We had Steven for a waiter and he was super attentive and congenial. I had an appetizer bowl with shredded beef and it was plenty for my meal. The queso was creamy and delicious with just enough heat. My table mates had tacos and they raved about the pork. One of our party made his own meal with French fries, grilled chicken topped with onions and peppers and queso. Tasted fabulous and Steven said the cook even commented on how good it looked. My family came here on our day trip to Cocoa Beach. We tried Mexico's Burrito, chicken and cheese quesadilla, and veggie quesadilla. My family members enjoyed their burritos. I love quesadillas and am a bit of a quesadilla snob, since I have tried so many. I was not crazy about the cheese in the quesadilla. It was decent overall, but I have had better. This is a perfect treat after a day at the beach. The place is easy to find, with ample parking, and very very friendly staff. The $2 coupon is also a win - the prices are already good, but that makes it even better. Unfortunately, we had a drive back to Orlando, but the margaritas looked very good and most of the tables were enjoying them. Next time, that drink is on my list. We got an appetizer of fresh guacamole, which is made in the back, but comes out quickly and tastes great. You can tell it doesn't have much besides avocado and onion, which is awesome for the picky eaters. I wish there would have been a bit more garlic or lime to liven up the flavor, but we finished it off quite quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed by tacos. I had fish, steak, and chicken. The fish was great, came with a little more than the normal street taco, which was perfect. The flavor was great and had enough fish to feel hearty. The steak was even better - there was so much meat! It could have been divided into two smaller tacos! It didn't need any special sauce or garnish, the flavor was perfect as is. Last was the chicken, which was disappointing compared to the fish and steak. I think if I would have only had chicken, it would have been just fine. I have been to Mexico's Grill twice and couldn't have had better experiences. I have been coming to cocoa beach for 10 years now and this has now become a must on my trips. The food is outstanding (Birria Tacos 10/10) with the service to match. It is an easy spot to miss and I am thankful to have come across it on Yelp. Mexico's Grill is really not a bad choice for family to enjoy some reasonable priced food on Coco Beach. Three of us ordered their house special dishes and we were very pleased with its quality and portion. Chip and salsa are complementary. Services are quick and friendly. I asked our server's suggestion on our orders, and he picked Carnitas Plate, Chori Pollo. Both were very flavorful. I ordered myself a enchilada plate with choice of beef. It was more than I can eat. The only complain I had was the food tasted a bit salty. But I guess I just need a Margarita to go with it. The restaurant is very clean. I like their interior decoration as well. The chips were warm and the salsa is good. Obviously made in house so that was a bonus. We had the guacamole and a ceviche. Both were liked by the table and again, both were very fresh. The first thing I noticed was the menu seemed very reasonably priced. I had the Tres amigos and enjoyed it. My wife had the Carne asada with shrimp and it was also delicious. We ordered the fish taco to share but I didn't enjoy it. The fish by itself was delicious. I didn't enjoy the sauce though. One person had enchiladas that he said were good. One had a shrimp burrito and although the inside was delicious, the shell was not. She set it aside and ate the stuffing. The churro was also good. We stumbled upon Mexico's Grill when we were spending the night in Cocoa Beach - and felt like we hit the food jackpot that night! Delicious food, good quantities, great prices, and fabulous service! The restaurant is located in a strip mall on A1A (with a spa and a pizza place), and you might just drive by if you didn't know to look for it. There was a parking lot with plenty of parking when we visited (on a weeknight). The restaurant was decorated in bright colors, and seating consisted of tables, stools at the bar, and high-back booths. Everything looked clean when we stopped in, which is always reassuring when visiting a new restaurant. Our friendly server quickly greeted us with menus and offered to go over any questions we had on the menu. During our meal service and refills were always prompt and friendly. Now, on to the most important part, the food! My husband ordered the "Steak Fajitas" and was happy when a steaming skillet full of steak, peppers, and onions arrived at the table. It came with a plate of rice, lettuce and diced tomatoes, and warm tortillas wrapped in foil (4-5). All that food for only $13.99 - you cannot beat that deal! The meat was seasoned perfectly, and you could tell that the tortillas were handmade - yum! He is not big on rice in general, but I tried his rice, and it was really good - more as a side dish, I don't think it would taste as good mixed inside a fajita. I ordered the "Taco Plate" that came with 3 tacos, rice & beans, and my choice of flour or corn tortillas, and my choice of meat (steak, marinated pork, shredded beef, pulled pork, chicken, or Mexican sausage) - I opted for the steak and was not disappointed! As you can see in the photo, the tacos were overflowing with meat, lettuce, cheese, and tomato. The rice was flavored well (the same as on my husband's order), and I even liked the refried beans (which can be hit or miss sometimes)! There was so much food on my plate (for only $9.99), that I couldn't finish it all. When our server came to clear our dinner plates and ask if we were interested in dessert, with our full bellies we almost responded "no" - before he mentioned that they had churros! Churros are a weakness of ours, so we felt like we had to at least try them - after all, when will we be in Cocoa Beach again, right? The churros were amazing - and made me wish I had not eaten so much of my taco plate. At only $4.99, the churros seemed like a good value too. If you are dining at Mexico's Grill, make sure you save a little room for dessert! Overall, we were very happy with our dining experience at Mexico's Grill, and wish it was closer to Tampa Bay so we could visit more often. If you find yourself in the Cocoa Beach area and are looking for a tasty meal at a very reasonable price, we suggest you stop by Mexico's Grill. I went back and tried the Ceviche Verde ($10). Very hot! Not for the timid of tongue! It was a little bit expensive considering the portion size, but it was delicious. Also, my order did not have the Avocado slices on top like the picture showed in the menu. Maybe they were out of it. I think I enjoyed the Guadalajara Burrito more on my last visit. In my opinion this is still a very good establishment for authentic Mexican Cuisine. They are currently open for dining in. But they didn't impress me as much as my last visit. Great place for street tacos. Not busy at all on a Sunday night. Seat yourself. Friendly staff takes your drink order right away and lets you take your time looking over the menu before ordering. Chips and salsa is NOT complimentary but can be purchased from the menu. We ordered the tacos with fish (your choice of meat) and extra toppings. Delicious! From the sides and extras part of the menu is tamales for $2.50/ each; esquites for $3/cup (this is exactly like elotes in a cup)! Elotes is a new dish to me and it's so delicious. Try it, you will not be disappointed. The ambiance is casual and the artwork is something to definitely stop and admire. Their verde sauce was a hit at our table. Chips came out fast and warm along with a salsa that my husband said tasted home made. He had the three taco plate with chorizo and chicken. No beans for him. I tried them. They were just okay. I ordered a pork tamale and shrimp cocktail. The tamale was a nice bite of warm comfort food. The shrimp cocktail was fantastic. Tons of shrimp and fresh tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, and lime juice. I politely asked to take it back and the service there was altruistic until she came back with the wrong order again after asking for a specific change. Simultaneously, my entourage all received their food in decent time; however, my friend Flex didn't get his food for 45 minutes after we did. Finally, the check took 20-30 minutes to reach the table and an additional 15 minutes to receive our cards back. A few of us paid for 2 people on one tab and our waitress successfully charged the wrong people at our table, almost doubling their total. Let me just start by saying my husband DOES NOT like Mexican food, but he LOVED Mexico Grill! We ate here a couple of days ago on a weekend stay in Cocoa Beach and we both loved it. The decor is very bright and lively plus the walls have large pictures of famous people from Mexico. Our server was friendly, fast, and the food was served hot, accurate and fast. We started with the chips and salsa and added choriqueso. The queso was hot, flavorful and delicious. My husband and I split the 3 street taco meal with rice and beans. I had one carnitas and my husband had a carnitas and a chorizo taco. I do NOT like chorizo but they make their own chorizo and it was perfect! Not too greasy but really savory. The beans and rice were hot and delicious. We finished the meal with the churros and they were 6 hot, crispy pieces of cinnamon sugar covered heaven! I order delivery using Uber eats and for the third time and as many months, I am missing part of my order. I called Mexicos who admittedly knew I was missing parts to the order. Manager got on the phone kind of laughed and said yeah nothing I can really do about that. Horrible customer service. The food is decent but will not be returning due to the flippant attitude of the staff. I will also be letting ny clients locally and out of town - not to frequent this place ( as it was on our list of recommendations of great places for dinner). We arrived in Cocoa Beach! Yay! The entire group is starving after our four hour trip and the girl says "hey you know what i really want? Ceviche!!" I try to accommodate and land in this amazing little place with nice reviews and ceviche is right there on the menu! Everything looked authentic and delicious. Even had veggie burritos for that one friend who doesnt eat meat we all have! I downed the cheese burrito cause it was awesome. The carne asada was real appetizing and that quesadilla was a fajita quesadilla looked pretty great. They have the margaritas with the Coronita dangling from the side that kept us chatting away until the very end. Friendly staff and nice ambience. Don't be scared to ask for the real hot sauce.
