First time getting takeout here. It's great, there's a little window and you can ring the doorbell. I ordered the cochinita fluffy tacos and a side of tostones. The pork was cooked perfectly but I will say that it was lacking in flavor. The maduro added to the taco was a great touch though. The sweet and savory combo is my favorite. Would definitely order from here again!

My friend has been wanting to try this place for some time so we finally went for her birthday. We ordered several appetizers plantains, empanadas and Yucca fries. All were so delicious I never had yucca fries before but the texture was amazingly crisp and the flavor with the aioli sauce was a perfect pairing. The plantains were plump and an excellent texture. The empanadas were cooked well and had a decent oil based sauce to accompany them. For dinner I had pineapple with rice. I wasn't really a fan. I wasn't sure how all those flavors were suppose to tie in together. The rice was somewhat bland the peppers I gave away the cakes on the side were really hard I wasn't sure what it was suppose to be and the shrimp was ok but was in a pineapple paste that didn't really stay on the shrimp. Together with the rice in one bite was just not it. I was pretty disappointed. However my friend got a steak salad that was sooooo good. Another friend got red and green sauce enchiladas which were also just ok. I think I would return. Although I didn't like every single item I did enjoy the dim ambiance the hibiscus juice was fire and the service was quick and friendly. Due to it being my friend's birthday they brought a basket of churros with camel dipping sauce. They were literally little bites of heaven. So all in all this place is cool but probably hit or miss on the menu items.

When I read the menu and saw the photos I knew I wanted to get stuff here. Unfortunately, I found the fluffy tacos lacking in flavor and dripping in tons of oil. The tostones were also rock hard and bland. Service is nice but I was disappointed by the food.

Love the cuban sandwich and yuca fries. I usually order at westlake square when truck comes few times a month. I love it but just it's very inconvenient take it to go because sauces that they have there doesn't have any lid. One time I came with my own small containers and put sauces there because I was arranging my husbands business lunch in our high-rise in downtown and took 4 sandwiches to go and sauces.

Third time eating but first Yelp Review. Yes, I'm am overdue but all three visits have been Yummy. Almost didn't get to this review because I got my order and immediately thought Get in my Belly'. I was half wad though my meal before taking a pic!! Pork Tostones were delicious. The pork is flavorful and tender. The tostones are soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. Savory and satisfying. Looking forward to the next Mexicuban Truck visit.

The food was sublime! Me and my sister got the Tostones, chicken Fluffy Taco, Roast Pork with yellow rice and roasted beef. Everything was delicious, the tacos needed salsa and the service was good but the service would have been excellent if they refilled our water regularly, and the absence of complimentary chips and salsa was dearly missed. At Azteca they offer bottomless chips and salsa.

Hit this food truck for dinner and it left me with mixed emotions. We ordered online instead of walking up to the truck window which may have been where we went wrong. The hubs ordered the Cubano sandwich ($15) and I ordered Cochinita fluffy tacos ($13), no cilantro + jalapeños (+$0.50). Grabbed the food and my tacos had plenty of cilantro and no jalapeños. I popped back out to the truck and they said they were out of Jalapeños. Not the end of the world but a little annoying because the up charge was paid. I sort of grumbled that under my breath and to their credit they offered me some churros which I declined. Nice effort on the save and I realized ordering in person would have prevented the issue. Not sure if it was due to the fact that I waited a few extra minutes to eat my tacos while jalapeño hunting but by the time I sat down to eat, the tacos were swimming in oil. Flavors were good but I needed a mile high stack of napkins! The sandwich got a "ok" vote from my husband and everyone liked the yucca fries. Warning if you have a little one, there is no ketchup. Pros Good flavors Yucca fries Fast Cons Heavy on the oil If you have a toddler ketchup junkie you will be SOL

Food is good. If only they had better customer service and competent enough cooks that can actually get orders right. I've ordered through ubereats several times and they've messed up my order almost every time! So disappointing. I have even called the restaurant to ensure it's correct before the driver picks it up on several occasions. I spoke with a manager over the phone at one point and he even went as fast as lying stating he'd email me a gift card. This last time a different employee comped churros which was nice but they still didn't even get my order right! After I received order I reached out to inform them my order was incorrect yet again!! They never responded. They don't care enough to KEEP returning customers. They just want a fast buck. Complete bull! Beyond disappointed, Perhaps you get better service going in. I don't like being lied to tho either.

THIS place was everything plus more. I ordered the Cubano sandwich with yuca fries and men. I wish I would have ordered a second serving. Everything was fresh to order and delicious. The flavors were so savery I still can taste them as I'm typing my review. Unexplained gold mind. Definitely place I'd recommend and eat at again. 14/10

My fiancé got fluffy tacos from this food truck that was at Everett Food Truck event and it was delicious, I tried a bite of it and man that taco is really fluffy and soft. Never seen any place that done that before so it was something different and unique, which I really love! The chicken protein was really well seasoned and it was enough for each taco. Also the pickled onion really pair well with everything to make it sweet and gave it a crunch texture with every bite. I really want to try their other stuff on their menu next time but it's a food truck so they can be anywhere in Washington. But overall I think the food was delicious and will be back next time we spot them on the street. read more

I am blessed that that food truck comes to the business center where I work: Time Square business park. My favorite is the Pork Mexican Sandwich. I can't believe how flavorful it is. They also have a chicken version. I add jalapeños and red salsa to mine. The Cuban sandwich is also delicious. Comes with two versions as well: chicken or pork. It has tons of pickled items: onions, pickles and banana peppers. I love both. But gun to my head? I'll get the Mexican Sandwich. The sweet potato fries are also cooked perfectly every time. They give you two dipping sauces, and one of them is mustard. I thought it was so weird at first, but holy cow! It works! I can tell why they give you two sauces though: doing all mustard can be "too much." I love this truck! I'm actually purchasing something again tomorrow! read more

Yum! Stopped by on a whim as we drove by and saw it. Definitely was not disappointed. The fluffy tacos had such a great texture and the meat was flavorful and the right amount per taco. The shrimp bowl had a delicious sweet and savory sauce and the shrimp was good sized. The cubano sandwich meat was so perfect and moist and I just want more as I am typing this. All of their dishes are extremely tasty with juicy meats, fresh herbs, and perfectly fried sides like yuca fries! Not to mention the portions are huge and the staff is the friendliest! * Here's what we got: Cochinita Fluffy Tacos Cubano Sandwich Combo Cochinita Pibil Bowl Pork Tostones Croquetas Plantains * My favorites (aside from the Yuca Fries) would have to be Cochinita Pibil Bowl and Cochinita Fluffy Tacos . I love that the bowl is a version of the tacos except a build your own style paired with addictingly flavorful rice and beans all to wrap in tortillas on the side! If you want a unique style taco, I recommend the fluffy tacos because it's crunchy on the outside while keeping the same soft and fluffy texture on the inside . Don't skip on their salsas and aiolis to dip it in either, seriously makes it 10x even better than before! * They have a designated location in Roxbury but also have a mobile second location that moves from one brewery to another. I heard about this place from a gf. She said "get the fluffy taco!" What is it you ask? It's a magical pillow of amazingness that you put in your mouth and omg.. I'm like Homer Simpson drooling right now Their chicken fluffy tacos are deep fried tortillas that taste like a cloud in your mouth. I can't even describe it. Try it! Also, you HAVE to get the tostones! Whenever you go to a Cuban restaurant, you must try fried plantains, and these didn't disappoint! I've ordered from Mexicuban about 3 different times and I'm honestly happy I don't live closer or I'd order everyday Try them out. You won't be sorry! read more

I used to absolutely love this food truck. It was in SeaTac today, 20 min after it opened I went down and most of the menu was not available, and the food quality was so bad. I was so upset and disappointed since I always try to visit this truck when it is in the area. I will not be doing that anymore. read more

Delicious! We each ordered a bowl- mine was the Cuban. The food was delicious and fresh. And filling! Had leftovers for lunch the next day. This was a find as we walked by but had another thought for food- pizza. After striking out on that, rounded back and so glad we did. The most delicious was the papas rellenos - OMG could eat them no -stop! The salsa, especially green one, delicious! Will look for this truck- wanting more! read more

My husband and I tried the food truck location at Cairn Brewery today in Kenmore and this place did not disappoint. We ordered one order of chicken fluffy tacos, one order of pork fluffy tacos, churros and papas rallenas. The texture and taste of the tacos were just what I was hoping for based on the pictures. The lime and accompanying sauces topped the chicken perfectly and the pork had the added plantain for a lightly carmelized twist. Soooo good that I wish we ordered more. The papas rellenas were a little under salted but otherwise fresh and crisp on the outside and perfectly soft inside. The churros were a sweet treat to end the meal with caramel inside, but not in an overpowering or overly sweet way. These held up in terms of heat and freshness for the drive home. The truck window was very open and larger than other food trucks so you could see inside that the space was definitely clean. I would 100% go back and also recommend to others. Yum, hope they come back to Kenmore regularly! read more

Amazing food but even better service! Had a confusing order sitch and wound up with something unexpected but it was totally delicious. I told the truck that I got a bowl that was different than what I ordered but they were busy and I didn't want to wait. Still annihilated it. Lo and behold, half an hour later the team brought me a replacement that I wasn't expecting at all. Everything was delicious and the staff provided great service. read more

The Cubano was small, expensive, and not particularly good. As far as I can tell it was just a pulled pork sandwich with ham and a couple banana peppers on a small cold supermarket roll. It wasn't inedible, but it wasn't good either. The yucca fries were pretty tasty. The croquetas were mediocre. read more

We've ordered from them many times before and their food has always been delicious. Tonight, though, three dishes we've ordered many times were completely different and the food was inedible. I ordered yuca fries, which I've had from them many times, and was given steak fries (potato) instead. They don't even have those on their menu! The cheese on my daughter's bean and cheese fluffy taco was spoiled, and my pineapple shrimp bowl, which I've ordered many times before, had plain shrimp without the usual pineapple sauce and rice that was hard and tasteless. I tried calling but they never answer their phone. I'm really sad to say this might be our last meal from Mexicuban, which used to be one of our favorite spots. read more

We had the cubano sandwich and pork tostones. Both were excellent. The Yucca fries and dipping sauce were so so so good. I wish I had been hungrier so I could go back for more!! When we got the WFH order at the beginning of the pandemic, my team and I were lamenting how sad we were that we would not be able to have weekly access to MexiCuban. It was my favorite food truck that came to my place of employment. I just recently started working in Downtown Seattle and to my immense excitement I found that MexiCuban is in the area on Fridays! Normally I work from home on Fridays, but honestly, this food truck is so good, I will come in to the office just to have their food. Yes. It is that good. And all the staff that work on the truck were amazing! So friendly and quick and efficient. I havent had anything I havent liked, nor did my old colleagues. Glad to have another reason to countdown to Fridays! read more

Obsessed with how good the food was at this truck. We got the Cubano sandwich with yuca fries and the pork puffy tacos and they were both incredible. Juicy and flavorful and the red salsa had a good amount of spice. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. read more

I'm a Latinx person who grew up eating this type of food so when I ordered I hoped for a pleasant meal but wasn't expecting much. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! The rice and beans (if these are tasty than it's usually a good sign) were delicious right off the bat and the tostones were incredible. Will definitely order again!!! read more

Just discovered this today and feeling so blessed to try the the fluffy tacos and Cuban sandwich. The ingredients, especially the meats are so flavorful! Also wish the fluffy tortillas were bigger or that there were more. Glad they were in Kenmore today but glad they aren't so close, or else I'd stop by everyday and get fluffy myself! Can't wait to try everything else on their menu. Great stuff! read more

Wow. This newly opened restaurant rocks. We had the pineapple shrimp bowl, and it was delicious. We ordered both a spicy and a mild version, and both were amazing. The heat in the spicy version was perfect. I highly recommend it. read more

We hit up a food truck for Mexicuban and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. We got the Cuban which was so flavorful and the ciabatta bread was a perfect compliment. And the Conchita tacos, the meat was juicy and sweet and perfectly cooked and the plantains, rice, beans and other toppings were amazing. Only complaint would be we need bigger tortillas or more of the small ones . I would definitely recommend one of these trucks so go track them down, we will again for sure! read more

I visited Mexicuban at Ridgecrest Public House tonight. It was really crowded. It took one hour to get my order. The Cuban sandwich was very average. Not even as good as the one at Family Pancake House. The sweet potato fries tasted frozen. Probably will not do again. read more

So sorry that this is 3 stars, the sandwich I had today was actually delicious but they call it a Cubano and it is most certainly not. Maybe a very loose interpretation of one but without ham and Swiss cheese so no not a Cubano. Good service, great yucca fries actually a very good sandwich just not an authentic Cubano. read more

The service was great--everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The menu is pretty extensive, especially when it comes to tacos, so there are plenty of options to choose from. I tried the asada, carnitas, birria, and adobada tacos. All were decent, with the birria being my favorite. The other meats weren't bad by any means, but they were a bit on the drier side compared to some other taco spots I've been to. The rice and beans were pretty standard--exactly what you'd expect, nothing particularly standout. One thing I really liked, though, was the self-serve salsa bar. It's always a plus being able to customize your flavors. One thing to note is that you do need to bus your own table, but considering the price and portion sizes, it feels fair and worth it. Staff was quick in prepping everything and asking if we wanted extra sauce on the side. I got their carnitas plate, and as a takeout portions are huge here! Meat was flavorful, tender and savory; the jalapeños added a nice spice to the dish; and the extra sauces on the side added even more spice onto it that I enjoyed. The dish was wrapped well in a disposable aluminum plate and covered as well. This went for all of our orders, which included the burrito plate and taco salad. This place is easily one I'd come back to for Mexican food at a great price and quality!
