    Chips and salsa

So this was our second visit here having come when they first opened. We did not have a good experience on the first visit but it was new so we waited to see if things maybe improved. The unfortunate answer is no. We sat at the bar and waited almost five minutes before seeing a bartender and getting menus and some chips/salsa. We ordered some beers and then waited again as we watched the bartender have to make the drink orders while also having to check on food orders and serve them to the other patrons at the bar. We did feel bad for her so we remained patient. Ordered a couple tacos and the sampler platter that did come out in a reasonable amount of time. Nothing too special but it did the job as we were hungry. Once done we ordered some shredded chicken nachos (just chicken, cheese, chips) to go for our kids. 45 minutes later we were still waiting. All while our plates were never cleared sitting in front of us. Again we stayed patient and when the to go item finally came we asked for the check. She acknowledge us but then asked us to wait as she made a margarita in front of us, cutting up an orange, and then going to serve it. Finally we got to check out. Extremely disappointed. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. That will be our last time at Mezcal.

Bone marrow and a half inch ribeye

Been wanting to try Mezcal since it opened. I go to Costco at least once a week and it's across the street. Nice restaurant new clean the service staff was very friendly and on the ball. I ordered something very different roasted marrow bones with ribeye and the sides was $23 which was very appropriate for what I got. I enjoyed it. Everybody else enjoyed their food. My wife had the chicken chimichanga. The negative about it. There's no prices on the drink menu, which I think caught up to us at the end. My wife felt the bill was higher than other Mexican restaurants in Mount Pleasant. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.

We sat at the bar to have a drink and some dinner. The bartender was very helpful and attentive. We got chips n salsa right away while we looked over the menu. We ended up ordering a spicy margarita and a beer. Really cool beer glass. We each ordered tacos but different ones and all were yummy. The pork taco was the best! I would definitely go back since the service and food were great but it is a bit pricey for some things - the beer was a bit expensive which was strange.

My husband and I went to Mezcal on the air of the moment. The Dr or is fabulous. It's bright and fun, service was pretty good but the waiter seemed to have way too many tables. I had a great burrito supreme! My husband had enchiladas and we were not disappointed. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

Complimentary warm chips and salsa. Very nice ambiance! Easy parking in the lot. Service was good. I had the Chile mezcal and my husband had the combo fajitas. Steak on both was a little dry as was the chicken on the fajitas. People were impressed with the fajitas but we were not, we've had better. They weren't bad, just not great. I don't think I would order the Chile mezcal again but it wasn't bad either just not great. Would definitely come back and try different things.

Super cool new spot in Carolina Park. The space is huge and decorations feel like you stepped foot in Tulum. Menu was huge and had so many options - I'd recommend the quesabirria and steak fajitas AND DONT SKIP THE CHURRO CART!

    Texas and cucumber margaritas

We've wanted to try this place since seeing it progress through construction and opening and finally made it out there tonight. It has some mixed reviews so I wanted to provide my take on some of that. The drinks are on the pricey side and there are no prices in the menu - admittedly annoying. We went ahead and ordered a Texas and a cucumber margarita - $16 and $13.75 respectively (4/12/25 for reference). They are not your average margs though. Fresh squeezed juice and proper ingredients, not a mix with tequila in a glass. I will say they were excellent and we saw a lot of other fantastic looking drinks come out. For dinner, I had the Birrea burrito and my wife had Camerones al mojo de ajo. Again, not your average Mexican plates. Everything is fresh and well seasoned. Both dishes were great and we enjoyed them. Mezcal is definitely well above typical Mexican places around MP, but also more expensive. You get what you pay for and I am OK with that. Friendly staff and nice ambiance, too. We will definitely be back.

They have so many things that are my favorites, I can't say just one. My favorite appetizer is the Texas dip. It has everything in it to make my stomach happy!! It is a wonderful queso that has steak, chicken, shrimp, and onions when I'm done using it as a dip I heated up the next day and have it as soup. I know it sounds strange, but it's absolutely delicious. You get great service sitting at the bar or at a table or at their outside tables. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because their website is very difficult to navigate. I would love to be able to see their specials every day and be able to order online easier than it is now. I wish they had one site to order from and then you choose the location when you finalize your order. We love our home Agaves on Highway 41. We eat here far too often my favorite entrée is the seafood chimichanga with no bell peppers, but tonight I am just trying the agave's sampler because I have no idea what I actually want LOL but my husband is easy. He loves the enchiladas and the burritos, chicken, please!

We used to come here every week, but little by little our habits changes as the quality went down. I do still enjoy coming for the nachos and specialty drinks, like the Harvest Pear Marg and the Happy Hour is nice too. The service varies depending on the time of day and the rush. We tend to go later in the evenings so it's not a slow as it is on other visits. We love the bright and vibrant atmosphere and the music. The murals are great and you find something new every time. I DO love that they have new weekly specials-- $4 Marg Mondays & $4 Taco Tuesdays, so will be coming back to see how those go and will update the review then!

My server, Michael, had me seated…read moreright away and, when I asked for recommendations, demonstrated an impressive familiarity with the menu. On his suggestion, I ordered the Steak Chimichurri Taco and The Hangover. Each was distinctive enough to deserve its own mention. The steak in the Steak Chimichurri Taco was exceptionally tender and full of flavor. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the toppings complemented the beef rather than competing with it. The goat cheese was just assertive enough to stand out without overpowering the other ingredients, creating a layered, well-balanced bite that kept me coming back for another. The Hangover was equally memorable--and completely unexpected. Had I actually read the menu instead of putting my trust in Michael, I probably wouldn't have been quite as surprised. Fortunately, I did, because his recommendation was spot on. Once again, I was treated to a wonderful balance of flavors and textures. And there's something undeniably satisfying about seeing a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg crowning a taco. FOOD - 10:10 Michael struck exactly the right balance between being attentive and giving me space to enjoy my meal. He knew the menu well, answered my questions confidently, and his recommendations couldn't have been better. SERVICE - 10:10 The atmosphere was every bit as enjoyable as the food. The music was at the perfect volume, the playlist fit the space well, and the lighting was bright enough to feel welcoming without being harsh. It's the kind of place where you could comfortably have a business lunch just as easily as a date night. AMBIANCE - 10:10 Will I be back? Absolutely. If you haven't been here yet, I'd suggest making this your next excuse to treat yourself. Bon appétit.
