We sat at the bar to have a drink and some dinner. The bartender was very helpful and attentive. We got chips n salsa right away while we looked over the menu. We ended up ordering a spicy margarita and a beer. Really cool beer glass. We each ordered tacos but different ones and all were yummy. The pork taco was the best! I would definitely go back since the service and food were great but it is a bit pricey for some things - the beer was a bit expensive which was strange.

Delicious burrito!

My husband and I went to Mezcal on the air of the moment. The Dr or is fabulous. It's bright and fun, service was pretty good but the waiter seemed to have way too many tables. I had a great burrito supreme! My husband had enchiladas and we were not disappointed. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

Complimentary warm chips and salsa. Very nice ambiance! Easy parking in the lot. Service was good. I had the Chile mezcal and my husband had the combo fajitas. Steak on both was a little dry as was the chicken on the fajitas. People were impressed with the fajitas but we were not, we've had better. They weren't bad, just not great. I don't think I would order the Chile mezcal again but it wasn't bad either just not great. Would definitely come back and try different things.

Super cool new spot in Carolina Park. The space is huge and decorations feel like you stepped foot in Tulum. Menu was huge and had so many options - I'd recommend the quesabirria and steak fajitas AND DONT SKIP THE CHURRO CART!

Texas and cucumber margaritas

We've wanted to try this place since seeing it progress through construction and opening and finally made it out there tonight. It has some mixed reviews so I wanted to provide my take on some of that. The drinks are on the pricey side and there are no prices in the menu - admittedly annoying. We went ahead and ordered a Texas and a cucumber margarita - $16 and $13.75 respectively (4/12/25 for reference). They are not your average margs though. Fresh squeezed juice and proper ingredients, not a mix with tequila in a glass. I will say they were excellent and we saw a lot of other fantastic looking drinks come out. For dinner, I had the Birrea burrito and my wife had Camerones al mojo de ajo. Again, not your average Mexican plates. Everything is fresh and well seasoned. Both dishes were great and we enjoyed them. Mezcal is definitely well above typical Mexican places around MP, but also more expensive. You get what you pay for and I am OK with that. Friendly staff and nice ambiance, too. We will definitely be back.

Great New Mexican restaurant in Carolina Park right across from Costco! Just opened. Food was excellent and came relatively quick considering how slammed they were. I had the California Burrito with chicken. It was so good that I'll have a hard time selecting something different next time. This is just what we needed in this part of town! Only complaint is that they don't have a cocktail menu yet but I'm sure that's just a timing thing since they just opened. Definitely will be back.

Overall, I would say that the food is good, but it is higher priced than most Mexican restaurants in the area. We went on a Sunday around 3 PM and our server had too many tables to keep up with. It took us about 10 mins just to get our check after we were given togo boxes. Hopefully this is just because they are still a new restaurant and still working everything out. We will give it another try.

Jalapeño Margarita

I've given this place a few tries, hoping each time that I just caught them on an off day. Unfortunately, I think "off" might just be their default setting. I really want to root for a new spot getting its footing, but there are some glaring issues that make it hard to do so. Let's start with the drinks. I have yet to see a bartender actually make a cocktail. Every margarita is poured straight from a machine--God only knows when it was last cleaned (but hey, alcohol kills germs, right?). Unfortunately, it doesn't kill the taste of a melted 7-Eleven slushy. There's zero hint of alcohol, unless you count the price, which somehow changes every time I go. Fun game, but I'd rather just know what I'm paying. Now, the food. I don't know how else to say this, but...it tastes weird. My first attempt was a fish taco that managed to be both bland and overwhelmingly fishy at the same time. No lime in sight to cut the smell, and honestly, I couldn't eat it. Next, I went for chicken tacos. The seasoning was so strange that I had to double-check if I was eating actual chicken or something that just identifies as poultry. It wasn't spoiled, just...mystifyingly bad. Finally, I gave them one last shot with a burrito bowl, and while the chicken was obviously real this time, the seasoning still ruined it. Whatever spice blend they're using needs to be sent back to the depths from which it came. The only thing saving this place from a one-star review is the atmosphere, which is actually pretty nice. But a good vibe can only take you so far when the food and drinks make you question your life choices. Two stars for effort, but I won't be rolling the dice again for a while. Hopefully this helps them make revisions. I'll wait for word of mouth to tell me to go back.

Most expensive Mexican food in North America. $11 for a draft. No prices on menu. Lazy. Enjoy being open for 1 year.

They have so many things that are my favorites, I can't say just one. My favorite appetizer is the Texas dip. It has everything in it to make my stomach happy!! It is a wonderful queso that has steak, chicken, shrimp, and onions when I'm done using it as a dip I heated up the next day and have it as soup. I know it sounds strange, but it's absolutely delicious. You get great service sitting at the bar or at a table or at their outside tables. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because their website is very difficult to navigate. I would love to be able to see their specials every day and be able to order online easier than it is now. I wish they had one site to order from and then you choose the location when you finalize your order. We love our home Agaves on Highway 41. We eat here far too often my favorite entrée is the seafood chimichanga with no bell peppers, but tonight I am just trying the agave's sampler because I have no idea what I actually want LOL but my husband is easy. He loves the enchiladas and the burritos, chicken, please!
