Hello I would like to say even though I enjoy the food here every time I came here I am having some kind of issues. First of all when I first came here I purchased a Groupon paid $7 and paid $2.25 at the cashier which is the exact same amount as the regular price. Doesn't make sense. Second time I had order a chicken Shawarma they put only 3 piece of chicken .i asked her if you could put little bit more she looked at me and asked me if I am asking for double meat there was almost nothing on the plate. With my Middle Eastern background I say this place is the best in Virginia. The food is very rich in original taste. Falafel is great. However, I wish they do the Shawrma on the traditional way which is on the vertical grill . Hummus, Babaganog and Tapoula are amazing. I recommend this place. read more

Like other reviewers, I am a big fan of Cava (and Roti too). This is similar in concept but even better. The bowls are not quite as big but that is fine with me... just the right amount. The selection process for toppings is not as obvious as Cava but just point to the things you like and you can't go wrong. Can't wait for the one in Reston to open. read more

Adding a star to my review since literally less than 15 minutes I posted the review I was contacted with an apology. This shows that someone does care about the service that the establishment provides. The food was good.. the service was rather lackluster. Even though I was the only person in line at a non busy time I was rushed through the process. I asked the lady about how it worked with the toppings and I was told I only got 6... different than what others on here stated to be unlimited. Although I enjoyed my mixed bowl it left me with mixed feelings. It was good not great. If I was at the mall I would come again. I wouldn't make it a special trip. This is my new favorite restaurant. I was amazed at how delicious the food was and how unique and fresh it was plus it was healthy. I had the bowl dish and had my dressing on the side. The food had such a great taste that I was almost done when I tried the dressing. I never thought such an assortment would lead to such a delicious meal. I love this Cava-like food chain. There are no vegan or diet-specific guides on the menus, but here is what I gathered: there is milk in the pita, pita croutons, all the hummuses except classic, and the babe ganoush. I enjoyed piling on many different toppings, especially the eggplant ones, tomatoes, cranberries, couscous and chickpea salad. Im gonna say it and put it out there...Mezeh is WAY better than Cava. I have been in a love hate relationship with Cava and I am so happy to have discovered the competitor which is without question far superior. I mean, the amount of toppings, the freshness, and ohhhh the flavors! The falafel is delish...crunchy exterior, soft grainy interior, just the way it should be. And the toppings (drool) i can go on and on about. And another thing that I very much appreciate is the patience of the staff behind the counter. My main complaint with cava is, its almost like they are ready to throw your food at the cashier and when you ask for a second teaspoon of toppings its like its coming from their personal pantries. I get that when there is a long line you gotta keep it moving but to be rude, impatient, and seem irritated is a mistake that affects customer experience. Mezeh is like a copycat of Cava. It's essentially the same thing, but I think Cava has more options when it cones to toppings. It's a quick salad alternative while shopping around the mall. They have a limit of 8 toppings so decide what you want in advance and choose the toppings you want FIRST or else, they start charging for extra toppings. The portion is alright, but I think Cava has bigger bowls and add more to your plate-bowl when ordering. Keep in mind that "mall locations" tend to have higher prices compared to other locals. Disappointment. Went there because I saw great reviews. Got the mixed bowl. First off the serving is definitely less than Cava, you could tell instantly with the plate like bowl. But that's not the main problem. Toppings were not that great and you are limited to 8. Sauce is bland too and overall it's just tasteless. I'd much rather get Cava. read more
