My wife and I came to Eugene fir the Civil War and wanted some good Pizza the night before. All of the reviews and ratings said we neede d to come to Mezza Luna. We did. For the record... the pizza lives up to the hype. My issue? I watched what i assume to be the manager and one of the employees repeatedly run fingers through hair, touch their shirts, rub their NOSES, take their hats off and put back on, touch the phone, touch computers, touch one another... NEVER did these two wash their hands before MAKING FOOD, TOUCHING FOOD BOTHE BEFORE IT WAS COOKED AND AFTER. I am a restaurant industry vet of 28 years and im here to tell you this is unsafe and disgusting! Interested in a foodbourne illness...this is your pizza joint. read more

I had the best pizza here than I've had in a long time! The crust was tasty, not too thick, and had a crunchy (but not overcooked) crust. Great tomato sauce. Tasty sauce and lots of veggie options (needed for me, a vegetarian). There's a nice big window looking out to the street plus outdoor tables, too. read more

In town for the U of O orientation for my daughter and we all decided on pizza in the hotel room...tired after a long day of driving! We ordered a couple of pizzas and some salads for the 4 of us. There was a "Marge", a Margarita style and a "Just Veg" . Check out their online menu for the details...Both were fantastic. A very tasty crust that was thin, but not a cracker-crust thin. All the toppings were fresh and the sauce had a great tomatoee-herb flavor. We got one ceasar salad and one spinach. Both were fresh and BIG. Loved everything about it. We will definitely go there again...maybe even eat it there as opposed to a hotel room! :D read more

Tried both a slice and a whole pie for delivery, pepperoni/mushroom/olive. I like the quality of the cheese and meats, but the sauce is really bland and the crust isn't anything special. Unfortunately I'll be continuing my quest for a go-to pizza joint. read more

Always hit this place up when I'm in Eugene. Pizza is sold by the slice and is bigger then your head. Love the balsamic to dip the crust in. Restaurant is clean, bathroom is clean, food is tasty. Seating is a little tight, but still great ambiance. read more

I have eaten here several times and it is always really good. Our last time here we went with the Nice spice after reading about it in the Eugene weekly. I actually expected it to be a little hotter. My word, their pizza is good. Crispy, not too thin crust, perfectly cooked, quality ingredients. I ended up working near the Crescent location for three years, and had Mezza about once a week. Really fresh Caesar Salad. I probably got the wrong kind of pizza slices because they were closing pretty quickly and I wasn't paying attention ...it was super salty, like it had anchovies on it. This pizzeria has great selection of pizza at a good price. The selection is great, they try to cater to different palates. But if your looking for a crusty doughy pizza this is not the place to go, they are a traditional New York style slice. read more

Their slices are usually pretty appetizing, with both vegetarian and non-veggie options. I like the salads quite a bit, and they are huge!

I live in Portland and am subjected to some pretty good pizza, but I must say mezza Luna is the best pizza place I've ever been to. Salads are amazing and pizza is even more amazing. Love the New York, gourmet style za. The Caesar salad is my favorite because it's super garlicky, yum. Four friends slice is a work of wonder. Staff is also always so friendly and accommodating. Very very good pizza. I had a slice of "stinky garden" with a cesar's salad (lunch menu for 7$) and it was absolutely fantastic!

Salads here are huge and delicious. Good local beer selections. The pizza's are typically good, they fall a little short in flavor sometimes, perhaps a better mozz cheese needs to be used. Compared to all the papa murphys and pizza huts, etc., there is no comparison--Mezza Luna makes real pizza, those other places make something else entirely. I would like to see the pizza menu revised some. There are a lot of so-so pizzas but I think with a little tweeking, the menu could be improved a lot. Mezza Luna is probably my favorite pizza place to date. Great pizza, great prices. Love the different varieties of pizzas and salads. I also like the fact you can add toppings on to pizza you get by the slice - which is extra, of course. Their salads look amazing as well, but I have yet to try it. read more

yeah bra it's pretty good here as far as calzones go. i have to admit, i was taken aback by the appearance of said calzone and at least not in part influenced by the chick with the beanie nose ring who told us that the chef dude had been taking pics of the calzone to share with pals, which was nice. I am from NJ and consider myself to be a bit of a pizza snob. We tried 4 pizza places when we first moved to Eugene. We stopped looking when we found MezzaLuna. Their sauce is full of flavor, the crust is kneaded and worked properly so that it is light, chewy and crispy, and toppings are plentiful. It is the only pizza we will eat. The pizza is excessively greasy. Also, they don't offer ranch. They pawn it off as some authentic NY style pizza tradition that no ranch is allowed on pizza. NEWS FLASH: You are in Eugene Oregon, across the street from a Shopco - serve ranch. Atmosphere is ok. The restaurant tries really hard to get that trendy vibe that those Crescent Village Apartments are going for. Nice little Gelato shop next door that doesn't except debit card unless your purchase totals $5. read more

This is one of the better pizza places in town. I go in for the lunch special. I almost always go for one of the special veggie slices but occasionally I'll get a pepporoni or add my own toppings to a cheese slice. The salad is always fresh just watch out if you order a large - it's massive. The service has always been top notch in my experience. I tend to not venture in during the peak lunch time (about 12:00 - 12:30) but the servers are always working hard and super friendly. The staff knows what they're doing and I've never had anything go awry. I think maybe once I got the wrong slice and they quickly put a new one in for me and gave me the option to keep the wrong slice for no charge. There are very few places where you can get a quick, inexpensive and delicious lunch right downtown. This is one of those few places. There are decent beers on tap as well. What a great first impression of Eugene. The food was so, so good. Amazing flavor, fresh ingredients, unique combinations, and great beer on tap.
