Was in Forest Hils with my wife and son today so we decided to check out MEZZE for a light lunch. Boy are we glad we did! My wife had the beat and grilled halloumi cheese salad with salmon on top. The portion was generous and the salmon was cooked to perfection. All the flavor is Blended together so well. My son had a slice of veggie pizza and he ate it all up even though he wasn't feeling well. I had the salmon tacos and tuna tartare. Both were delicious and I would definitely order them again. Probably the worst place in Forest Hills/ Rego Park area. We came by today for a lunch with our 3 year old and ordered Shakshuka, Salmon kabob and some kind of pizza with eggs. First of all they just forgot to put an order for the pizza for our daughter, it took them 45 minutes to complete the order, so we took it to go. Their version of shakshuka is a joke, it was just completely undercooked eggs some canned tomato paste, tasteless, bland and plain uneatable. Salmon kabob was dry and also tasteless. Believe me it is not even close to the dish knows as Shakshuka in Israel and Middle East. We threw away pizza because is was probably the worst pizza you could get in NYC. In addition staff, cooks and relatives of the owners were constantly running around and yelling to each other. Make yourself a favor and don't waste your time and money in this place. read more

When I go here I always order the MEZZE plate that has the best falafel and a mix of different hummus among other things. Their menu is very diverse with a selection of great tasting sushi as well as one of the best slices I've tried around the area 10/10 recommended this place if you're looking to have an amazing meal any time. read more

Ive ordered frkm this place before and usually they are very good. Today i placed a delivery @5:30 and was told 15 minutes. 1 hour later I still had not gotten my food. Called and was told the they were backed up and the food would arrive in 10 minutes. 45 minutrs later no food and the girl claimed i said i would pick it up. I askdd her why would i pay over the phone for a pick up and why when I called back she said they wohld deliver the food. She stated she thought I was a different person. When I asked to cancel the delivery she refused stating they can only give me credit. I asked if she could deliver the food now and had to repeat my address 4 times for her to get it right. I went to this place last week with my friend and our daughters. The service was terrible. The waitress took our order and we never saw her again. They forgot our water so we ended up getting it ourselves. Then they brought out our sushi and pizza. We ordered a mezze platter to share. It would be nice if they guy who brought out our food would bring plares and utensils. That's not something you really need to ask for. He brought out paper plates that leaked through because of the soy sauce and whatnot. The workers could care less about the customers!!! They were NOT BUSY, so that was not the problem. Now we get the check, and they gave themselves 18% tip for doing absolutely nothing. It was 4 of us, since when do you get automatically charged 18%. When I asked him, he said it was their policy, which by the way was nowhere written. At least if the service was good, then I wouldn't feel bad leaving a tip, but I believe there was NO SERVICE at this place... read more

Stopped here last week for lunch and had a great meal. I ordered from the sushi menu (kani salad and a specialty sushi roll) and my boyfriend ordered the falafel sandwich, and both were delicious. We also ordered the garlic friends and the portion was huge! Overall, our meal was delicious. The only reason I gave the restaurant a 4/5 was because upon leaving, we noticed a sign outside stating a lunch special, in which the falafel sandwich came with fries for a much cheaper price. I wish we were informed of this when we ordered (since we ordered both the sandwich and fries). The sign was not outside when we had walked in, so we definitely would have taken advantage of this had we knew. But aside from this, we will be back to try more items, including the pizza menu! read more

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing Mezze is!! They offer a nice variety of delicious foods, the staff is very nice, and the prices are extremely reasonable. I loved that the servers constantly made sure that everything was good and that we are all set. This spot could have a lot of potential...however, since it's having an identity crisis of what it's trying to be (pizza and sushi!?), nothing on the menu stands out as something I would ever care to ingest ever again. The pizza is absolutely not worth anything to write home about. I asked the pizza guy what makes the pizza kosher, he couldn't even give a straight answer, he also looked as if he would rather be in a jail cell watching paint dry, but I didn't let his attitude effect this review, I can't imagine he would be employed at this spot for much longer anyway, and the pizza spoke for itself. Pretty mediocre (at the very best) and not something I would ever recommend or care to try again even if I were starving and it was the only place open. Didn't even bother to attempt the sushi aspect of this place, if it's anything like the pizza.....enough said. read more
