However I decided to use them they gave me reasonable quote and told me it will take about 2 weeks to get permits etc. They wanted to have the complete job with materials and labor, I didn't want to have materials from them bc was expensive and need to pay 50% down. I decided to order materials from ecomfort with lower price and installment agreement, it was easy to pay for me. Michael (owner) came to my business checked everything, measured etc.and told me what he needs as material. I asked him to confirm what exactly I need to order,3 indoor units 1 outdoor condenser 1 heater pan, 1 condenser pump,3×50ft total 150ft line sets and clear hose. I checked with him the capacity of the units and the rest of the equipment I need to order. He checked the list and told me order everything in the list i sent him by text message. After him and his staff finished the installation I saw the condenser pump in the box unused! I asked him that you want me to order this pump but you didn't use it! He goes ah I thought we will need it but not any more, I got angry and said ok take it back then you use it and I'll deduct from your balance. He took it with him and left. Later I was checking the materials and I saw he didn't use at least 60% of the line sets he made me order it! I put everything into box and put in basement. When he came to ask me to pay the balance I told him you told me to order 150ft of line sets and you didn't use easy 100ft of it!!! I paid nearly $700 for 150ft of line sets. I told him I will deduct $500 from his balance with returned condenser pump (paid $120) then I can give his check. He said no it's not my responsibility you bought the materials I just installed it. If you want you can sell it on ebay he told me. I said I have whole text messages saved in my phone that you told me to order all this materials I didn't order myself! As a contractor you came to my business you inspected you measured it and you told me exactly what I have to order then I ordered whatever you told me. He ignored and said no I won't take it back and left my restaurant! A week later he emailed me that saying he won't take the material back that's not his problem or responsibility, he needs his money by end of the week otherwise he said I will place lien on building and go to court. Plus he prepared wrong paperwork for permit, after a month building department respond that they need to fill out correct paperwork, imagine I lost just 1 month bc of their mistake to fill out wrong paper work. Another issue happened at last when I have my building inspection which was inspector came for inspection and found out they completed the job but didn't get the permit yet so they finished the job without permit! I was suffering to open my business asap I lost a week because of their irresponsible work ethic. Finally they got all paper work done and I passed the inspection. As I mentioned I had a lot of issues with this company called MFB MECHANICAL and absolutely advise people stay away from them if you don't want trouble!

He came with diagnostic equipment, replaced a part, cleaned and tested the system and after 3 sweltering days during which we pondered spending many thousands to replace our system (the only option according to the other company) we are now comfortable and the price was extremely reasonable. My hvac faces the exterior wall of my basement. So I never really see the front. They came 2x a season to service my unit. N I had their maintance plan. I month ago while in basement getting holiday decorations out. I notice a little blue plug on the BACK of the unit. Not on the front like the first one. I walked around the hvac and was furious to find total of 5 of these plugs including a drilled hole in a pvc pipe that they plugged w red putty. I know the previous company didn't do it because they serviced the thankless water heater while they were here. N I was learning how to do that. So I know they didn't do it. This house is 5 yrs old. They weren't there when plumper installed the unit and not there with previous plumber. So this company did it. I waited till the tech came to service the unit and I pointed out what I call needless damage. I said no more. Seems the ones who previously serviced were fired. Final insult came instead of the large tablet to sign. Now cell phone screen. I thought I was signing for health report. Which he told me but it was that and renewal of maintance membership. I asked that everything be emailed to me which it was. Then I saw the renewal. Which I didn't want. Since the co.panies employees put all these holes in my hvac. I called they asked why. I explained and sent pictures. Haven't heard back from them. Of course it's now Friday. And they only give you 3 days to cancel. So I guess I have to make a trip down there to formally cancel. ​ funny they are not in bbb. Also you are to get priority service with the membership. That's not true. I had a minor issue. They would not accommodate me with the outside ac unit.

Quickly resolved the issue and even asked me if I wanted to complete the project myself as the rest would be easy, and essentially I wouldn't have to pay for certain charges. I declined and said that I would feel safer if he finished the project. He quickly went to a supply store to get the correct parts, installed them, gave me great advice, and great price for everything. I had another plumber come to my house a few days before calling Imad - they immediately said the solution would be to tear down a wall to get to the back of the shower (without even attempting to fix it). The guy told us that it's an easy fix we can do ourselves. Great. Then he charges us $95 (plus tax because we used a credit card, not having tons of cash lying around) as a "service charge." For coming to the house for 10 minutes and telling us to do the job ourselves!! Unbelievable. If you "have to" charge a "service charge" (and he said it's because we called the company "through Google"?? what??), you absolutely need to tell people that beforehand instead of springing it on them at the end of the visit. My GC hired Aquila to install a mini split unit in my house when we decided to finish our attic…read moreinto a living space. Aquila recommended that we install an expensive mini split unit instead of connecting the attic to our house's central HVAC system (other HVAC services have since questioned Aquila's recommendation - and as a result - I am now transitioning away from the mini split). Since this was my first experience doing a big renovation project, I didn't question Aquila's flawed approach. The mini split Aquila installed never worked right; it constantly leaked refrigerant. Their technicians visited my house many, many times since installing the mini split in 2024 to attempt to diagnose the issue. Finally, Aquila told me that they found green dye in the line connecting the mini split head to the condenser and that that their technicians would never have used the green dye. They alleged that I hired a third party to service the he system, which is absurd because it was still under warranty with Aquila. They used this lie as their justification to void the warranty. I would never recommend hiring Aquila for anything.
