I usually don't write anything about airport food but I was impressed with this spot! Strangely enough the chicken wings were really good even though this is a Mexican spot! I also got some tacos but honestly the chicken wings were better. The tacos needed some time on the flat iron to get some toast on the tortillas. The margarita was solid. Service was great and they were all very accommodating and friendly! I would definitely stop by here again if I'm in SJC. The tables and seating was nice and there were a few TVs near the entrance bar. Liked how the music wasn't too loud and the ceiling decor was nice

Came by for breakfast the other day and it was a mediocre experience. Service from start to finish was fantastic by the server whom was attentive from being a host, server, to cashier. Ryan greeted me when I arrived, took my order promptly, checked-in with me after the food came out, and provided the check half-way through my meal so I could be on my way ASAP! The food itself was lacklustre. The overeasy eggs were very runny, which was odd. The sausages were ok and the tater tots were frozen...eek. The whole grain toast was normal. ~$27/head after tax and gratuity for breakfast, located right after Terminal A security check.

Mi Casa Cantina in SJC Terminal A looks really inviting, and I loved the murals--they give the place great character. Plenty of seating and a nice vibe for a quick bite of tacos.

Service here was very impressive! Donald bust his butt the entire time and provided 5 star service all day. For an airport setting I was happy I had a lot of extra time as it took a really long time for my carnitas tacos to arrive. The chicken tacos seem to arrive faster in half the time. The flavor of the tacos wasn't half bad for an airport. The rice was some of the best I've ever had in an airport. I highly recommend this location if you want really good service and can't afford to wait longer for food. This is a location I will definitely return to.

Beautiful entrance to restaurant located in terminal one, near gate 12

Very much looking forward to this place opening. They've done a beautiful job with the seating and the mural is eye catching

I'd show the food but we finished all of it!

Poor service, no silverware, no napkins, asked for chips-never got them. Had to hunt someone down to pay our bill. We won't come back.

I believe the bartender noticed her demeanor and stepped in to ask how he could help. I told him I needed a table for one. After being seated, I waited for over 5 minutes while the employee stood nearby folding napkins and completely ignored me. Around 9 minutes later, she walked over to another table and asked if they needed anything else, yet I had still not been acknowledged. It felt as though she was either blatantly ignoring me or simply chose not to serve me. Overall, the customer service and attentiveness were very disappointing. I eventually walked out without ordering. At the very least, someone should acknowledge a guest, offer a menu, or bring a glass of water. Unfortunately, that basic level of service was missing during my visit.

We ordered through DoorDash for pickup, and everything was ready right at the time requested. I even received a notification when the order was ready, which made pickup easy. One thing to note is that the restaurant is tucked away in the back of the plaza. The arrow on the sign in the front actually threw us off, and we ended up walking all around the building, past the pizza place and around the corner before finding it. It's located across from Star Aquatics and Fitness. When we walked in, there was a designated ordering area near the entrance. A couple was already being helped, but another employee quickly came over to assist us. I told her we were picking up a DoorDash order, and after asking for my name, she also asked how much salsa we wanted and generously gave us two containers of each variety. For food, I ordered the appetizer flautas and a birria taco. The flautas came with a salad-like accompaniment. The two flautas were cut in half and were smaller than I expected, but they were tasty and nicely prepared. The birria taco was packed with meat, which I appreciated, although I was hoping the meat would be a little juicier. The hot sauces were excellent, though, and definitely elevated the taco. The ladies seemed to enjoy their food as well, and there weren't any complaints from the group. It's always nice when everyone can find something they like. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'm glad we gave this place a try. Next time I'd love to come back and try the nachos or some of their other menu items.

Enjoyed our chilaquiles (do try this if you stop by), and were wrapping up our meal with the empanada when we discovered a chunk of fuzzy blue grey mold in the MIDDLE of the empanada about 1" in length and 3/8" wide. The empanada was already cut in half and wasn't showing from the outside or the cut area, but the mold was in one half of the empanada and I broke the other half which was normal looking. Thankfully we spit it out, and didn't eat the bite that we took. The waitress had offered to replace it but we said no because we were so shocked. We were kind of disappointed that the manager didn't try to come and address the issue with us. Just left it to their serving staff who quickly cleared our table and gave us the check. The Good: * A small private lot, as well as street parking, is available. * Reservations via their website * Outdoor, dog-friendly seating * Great bar program with signature cocktails and a nice selection of local brews on tap * Small, curated menu that changes seasonally * Great service from our server, Jayleen * Costillas de Elote (aka corn ribs) may seem like a nothing dish, but man, it was bursting with flavor and was one of the (many) highlights of the night * The Carne en su Jugo was a great riff on a classic French cassoulet, but with a Mexi kick in flavor * I couldn't resist the Duck Mole dish, as it featured two of my favorite foods in one savory and delicious plate. The confit duck leg was fantastic and fell off the bone, and the sweet and savory chocolate mole was the perfect foil. However, to me, the unheralded star of the dish was the fried masa brick, done up like a classic potato pavé, which deserves a special shoutout * For dessert, their rendition of Tres Leches cake was fantastic! The crispy turulete (corn-based cookie) on top gave a nice crunch to go along with the sweet cake, and the tart notes from the green apples really tied it all together for a complex and delicious dessert The Meh: * Happy Hour (Wed-Sat, 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m., and all day on Sun) menu and drinks are limited to the bar area only * Only open for dinner * As many have noted, the neighborhood is a little sus, but honestly, it's not that bad. Just lock your car (as you should everywhere these days), and you'll be fine--I promise The Ugly: * The number of people I know--or have seen online--who hate on elevated Mexican cuisine is kinda crazy. As if only French or American cuisines are allowed to be fancy--it's honestly a bunch of bullshit. If anything, LUNA has shown for years now that it can be done, and Acopio continues in that vein Conclusion: I had high expectations coming in, and Acopio met or exceeded every one of them. I'm a bit surprised they haven't received a nod from the Michelin Guide yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if one is in the works at some point in the future. Highly recommended.

We were so intrigued by California Wet Burrito that we came back to try it for dinner. Since I remembered that the restaurant had an outdoor patio, I was hoping that it would be OK to bring our dog. The staff members didn't tell us to leave, so I guess safe to say that their patio is dog-friendly. The patio area had a lot of seats, and I was feeling the hanging florals and greenery. The restaurant reminded me a lot of a beach cafe with it's laid-back vibe. The staff members were great. Very friendly and helpful. Their menu was much bigger than I expected as it included non-wet burrito items including your typical mission burritos, burrito bowls, nachos, tacos, tortas, etc. My husband had to customize one of the orders for his dad who had dietary restrictions, so he had a million questions to ask and held up the line. The lady taking his order was so patient with him and didn't rush the process. Our food came out really quickly, and we were served at our table. My husband, father-in-law, and I unanimously agreed that our food was 10 out of 10. My husband and I shared a carne asada San Diego wet burrito with enchilada sauce and chipotle sauce. They actually had several sauces to choose from, so you could mix and match. It was hands down the best wet burrito I've had in San Jose. The burrito was flavorful and yet not overly salty, and I loved how the French fries were extra crispy. My father-in-law had his custom burrito, and he said it was the best burrito he had ever had. Both burritos were massive by the way. Glad my husband and I shared one. Can't wait to come back and try other items off their menu!
