They have remained loyal to the point that customer service and the joy of the associates only just start as a tipping point of a superb food experience . The food is well executed authentic Mexican food with a full services salsa bar that includes aguacate salsa , tomatillo / verde , red molcajete chunk salsa , and a mellow habanero orange , pepper , onions and carrots and additional condiments all available and again I really can't push how welcoming and inviting all the staff are , location isn't bad at all for accessibility with the restaurant lot and adjacent street having ample parking + space to pull up and take out or eat-in/drive-in. Again San Jose taquerias in my opinion change rankings every 3-6 months ( And not ideal to go to some of the hidden gems in the east bay like Hayward or Stockton all the time )due to economy bubble and quality standards not being up-kept ,but this place ; the food makes a straight up memorable experience. Money is well spent here and my stomach agrees . The bread on the tortas is A1. There an al pastor down the street but it proves no competition not even if it had a head start figuratively . Commonly regarded as the best carnitas tacos, in my circle. Do not sleep on 3 hard tacos for $14 - not something I'd regularly order at a taqueria but theirs are delicious, w crema and soft cheese. The salsa bar is unmatched in San Jose imo. They take phone orders and it's efficient pick up procedure. However, my husband and I weren't in the mood for tacos. I got the chili rellenos plate & he got the chili verde plate; both came with hot corn tortillas. I realized that 2 chili rellenos is just too much of one thing; I wish they offered combo plates, but they do not. My husband said the chili verde was not bad, but the sauce was a bit watery. I called in a pick up order of four super burritos to go. I came in with my son and picked it up. When I got home I didn't have salsa my husband wanted so he went back to the restaurant not more then 10 minutes later and said his wife just ordered four burritos and needed salsa for his food. The woman behind the register refused him salsa and pulled out a huge knife like a masetti. My husband called the police on her. We are frequent customers. We have been there so many times. I was at Valley Fair and Taco Mania got me craving tacos. Found this place nearby, outside the mall. They have their own lot, but it's a bit small and kind of tricky to get out of. Got the 3 crispy tacos with carnitas. They don't let you pick different meats for the tacos. Food came.out quick, less than 10 minutes. They have a salsa bar so you can help yourself. I asked which one was medium heat, the cashier said the green one. Tacos were pretty good. I can't tell if the taco shell was bought or made ahead of time. I had expected them to be greasy, but they weren't. The carnitas had good flavor. Some of the pieces were dry, but it was still tasty. The green sauce had just the right amount of heat for me. I've been a big fan of Taqueria Eduardo for years--especially the original location off Winchester. Their burritos? Top-tier. So I was excited (and very hungry) when I stopped by this location expecting the same quality and experience. All I wanted was something simple: a large container of whole beans (boiled, not refried) and the meat from three shredded chicken tacos--no tortillas, nothing fancy. The total? $28.94. I politely told the woman at the counter, "I want to give you my money, but this feels like a rip-off." She was kind and tried to call her manager, but unfortunately couldn't make an executive decision. I even suggested she just ring it up like the weekend Menudo (which costs less than $20 and takes way more work to make), but no luck. Even stranger, she couldn't just put the beans and chicken together in one Menudo bowl. Instead, I was handed two separate containers, and had to play DIY Taqueria Chef in my car. Not sure why that was--maybe it's a new build-your-own-bowl concept? ‍ Sadly, it just wasn't worth it. The beans were bland, the chicken was meh, and for nearly $30, the whole thing felt off. I really hate to leave a bad review, especially when I've had great memories at their other location, but this visit left a bad taste in my mouth--and not just from the food. My bf and I usually just go here to grab a side of beans & rice and some of their salsas to complement dinners that we make at home. It's a great value for that and their salsa bar is quite tasty. Recently we came for dinner because I was craving a taco salad and my usual Mexican spot doesn't have them. This is a casual taqueria, better for takeout than dining in. Service is good. This recent time half of the menu screens were broken, luckily we knew what we wanted already. This was an enormous al pastor taco salad, enough for 2 very large meals or 3 average sized meals. I was happy with the ratio of ingredients and the flavors were great. My only complaint is that a lot of the pastor meat was burnt/black. I just realized my prior review was intended for the downtown location. I was done with the mall and decided to swing by here. I ordered a handful of tacos. They give you a good amount of meat for that price. The al pastor was really good. I liked the amount of spices and seasoning. Carne asada was solid. I had a triaps taco at the restaurant and thought it was excellent. Tripas were crispy but not fried until they were hard. I had bite of another tripas taco at home, but it had some bitterness like it was almost burnt. Maybe I didn't notice it earlier because I was hungry. This reminds me of the ones I had at the downtown location. I'm going to try them again and make a final verdict on the tripas. read more

Finally tried this authentic taco staple in the Burbank neighborhood! We went on a Sunday at noon after swim class down the street and found parking on site. There were a few tables outside under patio umbrellas. It isn't a fancy place and can use some updates but itself definitely authentic. Each regular taco is now $2.99 but that's the bay area for you. I ordered the taco plate which was $6.99 and had one taco plus beans and rice. The plate was huge and had about a cup each of Mexican rice and semi mashed refried pinto beans. I ate the taco de cabeza (head) which was delicious. My son ate some of the rice and beans. My husband had the chicken super burrito and was only able to eat half because it looked like it weighed 3 lbs. The service was limited at that time so some tables were not clean. Taco Tuesday, let's do this! Now, where to go? Well it seems I live in the epicenter of Eduardo. Yes, there are three Taqueria Eduardo locations nearly equidistant from me. I picked the one on Bascom today because I hadn't tried it yet. The Taqueria Eduardo on Bascom is a convenient spot on a major thoroughfare, with abundant parking in front, on both sides and in the back. Walking inside, the dining area is adequate, with several tables for dining in, but I was doing the grab and go this time so I only spent a few minutes in the clean, bright space, watching cars and an odd, shirtless fellow whiz by while I waited for my victuals. The counter staff took my order, payment and handed over the goods with a warm smile. That's always a plus. Today I ordered: 3 Crunchy Tacos ($9.99+tax) - you get your choice of meat in a freshly fried crunchy shell which includes beans, lettuce, cheese and pico. Some folks like beans on their tacos, while some say, "that a'in't a taco, bro." I'm dealer's choice on the topic. It's your house, give them to me how you like, but in this case the beans went well with the chicken I selected as my other protein. The chicken was moist and flavorful, with a marinade which contained some lime, making the flavor pop. The red salsa is a nice condiment to add, bringing some additional brightness. The only problem with three tacos is how to divide them between two peoples, unless one of them is cuter than you, then she gets two. 4/5 stars Meat and Cheese Quesadilla ($7.50+tax) - as billed this quesadilla only contains meat and cheese, but there was extra lettuce with the taco plate and some salsa, so I doctored it up. For meat, I selected carne asada. Eduardo's take is very juicy and savory. They hack it into smaller bits than some places and this may give it more flavor, I don't know, but it's very good. Maybe it would be nice if they cut the quesadilla, but we managed. 4/5 stars Taqueria Eduardo delivers the standard West Coast Taqueria fare. The pricing is not budget, but I feel like the value is there for the quality and portion size. There are plenty of good taco joints around and this is not come from far and wide great, but it's very good if you have one near you, a solid four-star spot. read more

The tacos and the burritos are really good, and they always hit the spot for me. I really recommend trying out the tripa tacos because I enjoy how the meat has that crunchy and juicy texture to it that I can't seem to find at other taco joints. I'd also recommend their Cali Burrito if you're looking for something that'll really fill you up. I always find myself feeling pretty satisfied with their food, and I have no doubt that their other menu items are also satisfactory. Unfortunately, the location and environment are the only reasons why this rating is not higher. First of all, I was encumbered by a homeless person inside the establishment repeatedly asking me for money and booze when I was trying to enjoy my tacos during my most recent visit. I ignored him and he eventually moved to pestering a neighboring family enjoying lunch with the same request for money and booze. I honestly felt pretty uncomfortable during the entire interaction because I didn't know what he'd do if I refused his request. I'd definitely would've bought the guy a taco or a burrito if he asked, but that wasn't what he wanted and the fact that he was asking for alcohol crosses a boundary for my generosity. I'm pretty disappointed on how the staff chose to handle the situation; all the cashier did was watch warily on as this guy bothered their patrons. I will concur that the restaurant could've been short-staffed and had to prioritize getting orders out, but I feel like they should've been on top of things to maintain a more pleasant dining environment. Secondly, when I went to use the bathroom, I saw used needles in the trash bin. I don't know about you, but I'd prefer my eating establishments to be free of drug paraphernalia, especially in their bathroom. Granted, the needles were in the trash bin and weren't strewn haphazardly throughout the floor, and the bathroom did seem to be well taken care of and maintained. Regardless, the fact that I saw used needles in the trash bin was a pretty unpleasant thing to witness. I have to say that my most recent visit to the Bascom branch of Eduardo's Taqueria was pretty disappointing. If you choose visit this place, I'd highly recommend ordering your food to-go instead of dining in; otherwise, visit the other Eduardo's branches that are nearby. read more

Taqueria Eduardo is the closest authentic taqueria on this side of (white wash) town, which I can appreciate. I like this location better than the one located in Campbell. Taco's here never disappoint. I've tried most of them. To me, the carnitas taco is the winner. I would classify these as 3.5 bite tacos, which is pretty good size and value. My only grip here. The salsas are kind flat. None of their salsas have any kick. There aren't any bottled salsa's either. I would also to see some fresh or pickled jalapenos and carrots.
