    Asada torta

Excellent excellent excellent , the burrito scene in San Jose has fallen off at many taquerias regarding quality and standard to the meat / salsas / and overall put out . Eduardo's has not. They have remained loyal to the point that customer service and the joy of the associates only just start as a tipping point of a superb food experience . The food is well executed authentic Mexican food with a full services salsa bar that includes aguacate salsa , tomatillo / verde , red molcajete chunk salsa , and a mellow habanero orange , pepper , onions and carrots and additional condiments all available and again I really can't push how welcoming and inviting all the staff are , location isn't bad at all for accessibility with the restaurant lot and adjacent street having ample parking + space to pull up and take out or eat-in/drive-in. Again San Jose taquerias in my opinion change rankings every 3-6 months ( And not ideal to go to some of the hidden gems in the east bay like Hayward or Stockton all the time )due to economy bubble and quality standards not being up-kept ,but this place ; the food makes a straight up memorable experience. Money is well spent here and my stomach agrees . The bread on the tortas is A1. There an al pastor down the street but it proves no competition not even if it had a head start figuratively . If you want a handheld item come here , call ahead and support this business fr wait for me was only 11 min. You will be satisfied . Good size dining room , I took it to-go but eating in seemed quaint . Thank you again making the trip worth it . Food stands out so well that it doesn't need this long winded review but it deserves the commemorative words.

    Chili verde plate

I give them a 3.5 rounded up to a 4. Another customer in line volunteered the information that the tacos here are great, so I am passing it along for what it's worth. However, my husband and I weren't in the mood for tacos. I got the chili rellenos plate & he got the chili verde plate; both came with hot corn tortillas. I realized that 2 chili rellenos is just too much of one thing; I wish they offered combo plates, but they do not. My husband said the chili verde was not bad, but the sauce was a bit watery. Both plates came with rice & beans, but I'm disappointed mine did not come with tomato & avocado like his did. I definately ordered the wrong thing.

It was a general Mexican place. The carne asada felt more like ground beef though. Overall the California burrito was okay, it didn't quite hit the craving. There's space to eat and they make your food fresh and pretty quickly.

Ambiance was ok, customer service was cool. I had carne asada for my crispy tacos and they were good. The rice and beans were not the greatest and the prices were kinda high. The salsa bar was cool. I wouldn't come back due to the price and lack of authenticity in flavors.

    3 crispy tacos with carnitas

I was at Valley Fair and Taco Mania got me craving tacos. Found this place nearby, outside the mall. They have their own lot, but it's a bit small and kind of tricky to get out of. Got the 3 crispy tacos with carnitas. They don't let you pick different meats for the tacos. Food came.out quick, less than 10 minutes. They have a salsa bar so you can help yourself. I asked which one was medium heat, the cashier said the green one. Tacos were pretty good. I can't tell if the taco shell was bought or made ahead of time. I had expected them to be greasy, but they weren't. The carnitas had good flavor. Some of the pieces were dry, but it was still tasty. The green sauce had just the right amount of heat for me. I'll come back and try some more stuff!

I've been a big fan of Taqueria Eduardo for years--especially the original location off Winchester. Their burritos? Top-tier. So I was excited (and very hungry) when I stopped by this location expecting the same quality and experience. All I wanted was something simple: a large container of whole beans (boiled, not refried) and the meat from three shredded chicken tacos--no tortillas, nothing fancy. The total? $28.94. I politely told the woman at the counter, "I want to give you my money, but this feels like a rip-off." She was kind and tried to call her manager, but unfortunately couldn't make an executive decision. I even suggested she just ring it up like the weekend Menudo (which costs less than $20 and takes way more work to make), but no luck. Even stranger, she couldn't just put the beans and chicken together in one Menudo bowl. Instead, I was handed two separate containers, and had to play DIY Taqueria Chef in my car. Not sure why that was--maybe it's a new build-your-own-bowl concept? ‍ Sadly, it just wasn't worth it. The beans were bland, the chicken was meh, and for nearly $30, the whole thing felt off. I really hate to leave a bad review, especially when I've had great memories at their other location, but this visit left a bad taste in my mouth--and not just from the food. Here's hoping they reconsider the pricing, portioning, and flexibility. I'd love to return under better circumstances.

Asada super quesadilla plus red sauce and orange sauce. I thought it was mediocre.

I would suggest that the serve mention that when taking orders so we know. Just because it's at the very bottom of the menu I didn't notice it until I asked for a dessert menu. The food was so good! We had Mexican jambalaya, Carne asada plate, tacos Dorado, enchiladas with both sauces, parillada, enfrioladas (bean enchiladas) tacos de pescado, Don julio flight, multiple drinks and churros. The churros were really good although we wish there was a non filled ones too and to have the optionof if we wanted it dressed up because churros are already super sweet with the cinnamonand sugar dusted but caramel and whip cream was added along with a strawberry filling. We also ordered a tres leches cake but we didn't like the tres leches cake, it was too sweet, so sweet that we couldn't taste the filling which we assume was pineapple lol the color was yellow with pieces of fruit but we couldn't taste it. Overall the service was great and quick. I would definitely come back here.

Plenty of parking available since the restaurant is in a strip mall. It wasn't too busy when we got there, but then it started picking up. There was only one server working and she was really hustling to meet everyone's needs. Plus, she was friendly. I had the carne asada burrito, it was good but nothing over the top that made it stand out. My friend had enchiladas with mole. We were most excited about dessert and decided to share the churros and Tres leches. It was a nice touch that the churros and Tres leches did not come plain, a little pizzazz since they were both served with berries, whipped cream, and a cajeta style sauce. Both of the desserts were so good and a perfect touch of sweetness.

We waited 1.5 hours to be seated while half the restaurant sat empty. After we were seated, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to ask if we wanted drinks, another 30 minutes before our order was taken, and then an hour for the food to arrive. Throughout the wait, several servers were gathered in the corner talking and laughing while tables--including ours--were left unattended. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the service. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and the shrimp was so chewy that I couldn't finish it. It was honestly one of the worst shrimp dishes I've ever been served. I've seen countless influencers giving this place glowing reviews, and after eating here, I simply don't believe them. My experience was the complete opposite. If you appreciate good food and good service, I would strongly recommend spending your money somewhere else.

FOOD: Food is usually great. I remember them being better when they first opened, but maybe today was an off day? CHIPS & GUAC (4/5) - Chips came out hot and glistening, so I assume they are freshly made. The guacamole was good, but it lacked depth. It was creamy, not spicy, and salsa costs extra. I personally like it without salsa, but I can see this turning people off. LAMB QUESABIRRIA (3.7/5) - Consommé felt a little flat. I personally have had better consommé tbat was richer in flavor. It came out piping hot. Overall, it was good but given the price and flavor I wouldn't get it again. COD TACOS (4/5) - Again, portions are on the smaller side. The cod is small, and I couldn't really taste the salsa too much, but the fish tasted great and was nice and crispy. So far the best server we've experienced there, and that's a very high bar to exceed. Thank you, James! If you're in the Pruneyard area, by the way, the Luna there is quite good, but we prefer the Alameda/San Jose location. Somehow the dishes have a bit more "pop" (and seem to come from the kitchen faster, too). More experienced service. And the Pruneyard location is a little too big.
