Stop taking walk-in orders 1 hour before closing, it's unprofessional & excessive ... I've ordered here twice before & waited 15-20 mins max. I stopped in as part of a large group and it took a while to get orders placed so when it was my turn I just ordered water. "You're missin' out." The woman taking my order said so I told her my concern about my time crunch and she reassured me there would be no problem(and she was right the food was out fast.) I'm SO GLAD I listened to her. I ordered the Kickin chicken bowl and it was outstanding! Plenty of fresh vegetables and so tender that I could cut the chicken with a plastic fork! I definitely recommend this place. First time at Mi Casa Su Cafe and I can't wait to go back!! Service was so friendly and accommodating. I had called to place an order; I thought they were open until 7 so I asked for the pick-up time to be 6:45. When I went to see how long it would take me to drive there, google said they closed at 6:30... which made me feel bad because they were staying open late for me. While I was waiting, a woman came in to order and even though they were already closing... they still took her order and were so accommodating! I had a Milly steak sandwich which was served on Texas toast; I also got a side of potato wedges that were seasoned perfectly. The Milly steak sandwich was phenomenal; I'm already craving one for maybe lunch tomorrow! I haven't tried the cheesecake yet but it looks delicious. It seems like they have different types because he said they also had fresh blueberry cheesecake that day. Check this place out!! read more

Let me start with a Oh my God...the food is DELICIOUS! My business associate has been raving about this place for several months. We had an extended lunch break so took some time to make the mile'ish trek from our downtown office to Mi Casa Su Cafe. I ordered the grilled salmon and my associate ordered the beef bbq on a hoagie. The dining area was quaint. The staff was more than pleasurable. They took the time to chat with us and throughly walk us through the menu. If I could come up with a smarter word for the food being magnificently delicious I would! If that doesn't paint the picture how about...if I could pick my last meal on planet earth it would be the grilled salmon prepared and served at Mi Casa Su Cafe! My associate also reported being extremely satisfied with his lunch! How about adding 10 stars...five for me and five for him! I will most definitely be back...maybe even tomorrow. read more

Stopped in today for a weekday late breakfast with a friend; staff were very friendly and attentive. The space is small but super cozy, with great jazz music playing. The menu is quite large, with plenty of options and great price point, IMO. I am normally a purist for breakfast, but had to try their shrimp n' grits and was not disappointed. It was a huge bowl of wonderfully creamy grits with a great spicy sauce, topped with plentiful and large shrimp. The coffee was also really good. My friend had an omelette and it was huge. The food takes a little bit, but as long as you know that going in, you know what to expect. We chatted with Anthony (the owner?) who was super friendly and showed us that they are hoping to expand their space in the future. Definitely give it a try and support this MLK Drive business. I was extremely disappointed. We waited about 1 hr and 30 minutes. The shrimp and grits got my bff sick, the salmon croquettes that my sister ordered were more fillers than fish and although my French toast was decent, my turkey bacon was hard and over cooked. I'm very disappointed with my order and how it was handled. The lady at the cash register was rude and could have had better customer service. I was excited to try since this was my first time. My order was late and she saw me sitting in the dining area multiple times as she handed people there order and refused to follow up with mines. Very unprofessional and disappointed. This place has potential but they need workers with good customer service at least. The dining area is nasty and not cleaned properly. I really would suggest a health inspection here because because the way the handle the food could cause bacteria and infections. Just BE mindful before coming here. Maybe this was a bad experience for me but this was a horrible first time experience with trying a new food place. read more

While this place has awesome food and service, they are never consistent with their hours and food takes way to long to get (even if you call in for pick-up----like 45 min or more for a simple order of eggs and bacon). I hope they survive because I try to spend my money with small businesses, but I can never count on them to be open when they say or to get my food in under 30 min. read more
