We can't rate this place highly enough. The pisco flights are delightful. The ceviche clasico was delicious. We probably should have gotten a quarter chicken instead of half, but it was fantastic.

Our new favorite restaurant. Everything we tried was delicious. Service is also great and reasonably priced.

Son, who has been to Peru a few times, thought the food was representative of Peruvian food so we tried some Ceviche and Pisco Sours.

It's a good place to go with friends to watch a game, as both sides of the room have screens, and they have happy hour specials for food and drinks. The best thing we ordered were the empanadas. We got a sampler of three and the beef and the cheese were great. The other food wasn't quite to my taste. I did not understand that everything was fried, so it was a literal mountain of fried seafood (look at the pictures, it was enough for 4 people). So, pros: large portions. Cons: it wasn't great. The staff might also have been new. It took a long time for someone to come take our drink order, and 30 minutes to get the pisco sour that was ordered (we were 1/2 tables in the whole place). We later found out that they didn't know how to make one, and were trying different recipes from someone's phone. Absolutely points for trying, but it took way too long and didn't come out quite right. Then they forget to bring me my drink while they were trying to figure out the pisco sour. I might go back for beer and apps, but not sure this place is for me. Otherwise, I will make sure to ask whether the mains are fried, and pick something different.

Such a fun and unique spot. I love the Japanese-Peruvian fusion concept here…read more We had the udon saltado and it was hands down the best udon I've ever had. The noodles were perfectly cooked and almost melted in your mouth, and the broth was incredible. Our server recommended the Mancora roll, which ended up being delicious, and the salmon tiraditos were phenomenal. Super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. The spicy tuna roll was really good too, but definitely has a kick, so just a heads up if you're sensitive to spice. The drinks are also a highlight. The cocktails are fun and the pisco options are a cool change from your typical menu. Service was great. Friendly, helpful, and gave solid recommendations. Parking is easy with street parking and nearby lots around Hopkins, which is always a plus.

TLDR: Food good, drinks excellent, service problematic, prices high…read more Now, let's dig in. This is NOT a review for dinner, this is a review for sitting at the bar, having some nibbles and drinks, and learning what they do and how they do it. Food: The ceviche is genuinely solid. It is not a large portion for the price point, but, the leche de tigre is a good balance of coconut, sweetness, and lime, the fish is fresh, and if you ask for it spicy, there are good hot peppers on it, The fried yuca, meh. It's OK, it's yuca, it's fried, it soaks up pisco. the sauce served with it should fall upon its sword. Drink: I really appreciated the chance to try multiple piscos, distilled from the same grape, but with different terroir. I could taste it and that was super cool. Also, I tried out the chica sour and I am modestly convinced that the sours are the way to go here, my reason for wanting to come back is those cocktails. Lovely foam, great sour/sweet/booze balance, I could drink several of these (and I SHOULDN'T, this is the suburbs and I have to drive). Service: I sat down at the bar and nobody gave me an actual MENU until the third time they asked "do you need anything?" and then I pointed out that you have to give the guest a menu if you want him to order stuff. Bro. Also, when I ask for a water without ice, maybe you shouldn't put ice in it? You know, just a thing, not a complex recipe? This is kinda remarkable bc they have 4 ppl behind the bar, at 5pm, at the time I'm typing this. This is not an understaffed establishment. Does nobody here understand basics? And finally, OK, price. Yes, I am in Hopkins, it has very wealthy white ppl, I know. But wow, I had two appetizers and two drinks and I;m in for $80? Perhaps this is reasonable bc fish, but only one of those 4 things had fish in it. I am fairly confident that we are playing the "white people don't know, charge them all the dollars" game, and I am annoyed that this means that I as brown people can't come back here reliable. That is a pity bc there is good stuff above I want to explore.

Grateful this place was open last night for dinner despite the 4th of July holiday…read more Spacious and clean, nicely air conditioned, a screensaver of nature on the tv screens, medium loud music in Spanish. Our server was very pleasant and attentive, refilling our waters before we asked. I ordered mango smoothie and a seco de pollo and my friend ordered a caldo de gallina (Ecuadorian chicken soup) and a side salad. Our food came out hot and delicious in about 20 minutes. Very satisfying. The sauce on my chicken (seco de pollo) was rich and savory, the rice perfectly cooked and the fried plaintains perfection. If I lived in the area, I'd become a regular!

This is the kind of establishment where the food speaks for itself, and there is a lot of it on your plate. Humitas - These corn tamales are just as good, maybe even better than Chimborazo's. If you have a group of four or so, get these so all can have a bite, and you won't get filled up before your entree arrives. Patacones - We loved these! Who doesn't love mashed fried plantains? Add the cheese to them, you won't be sorry. Arepas Con Carnitas - These were wonderful. Two on a plate, and could honestly be a whole meal. I can't recall what the sauce was on them, but that was quite good. Carne Apanada o Asada - This was enjoyable. the breaded steak (round steak I think?) was unadorned with any sauce. I was a bit concerned this was going to be dry, but adding some of the rice and beans to your fork made it plenty good. Speaking of beans. I have no idea how they make them or what ingredients they use, but these really are the best beans I have ever eaten in MPLS. They are so good that I would just order a bowl of these beans and a couple of arepas and be perfectly content. Please support this restaurant and stop in for lunch/dinner. You will not be disappointed.
