Call me crazy, but Mexican isn't usually my favorite cuisine. This spot was different though. My husband and I shared: - Wild Mushroom Quesadilla - Stuffed Sopapilla- - Korean BBQ Taco - Beef Short Rib Enchilada - Chicken Molé Enchilada The quesadilla and enchiladas were my favorite items we got. I loved the sauces on the enchiladas and it was nice that they let you mix and match. If you want good Mexican food in Aspen, I'd recommend checking this place out.

I genuinely enjoyed my dining experience at Mi Chola. The food exceeded my expectations. My server was attentive and respectful. And I was pleasantly surprised how quickly our food was ready. My wife and I ordered several items which we shared. My preference, ordered by favorite and ending with least favorite is Wild mushroom quesadilla Beef short rib enchilada Chicken molé enchilada Stuffed sopapilla Korean BBQ taco The wild mushroom quesadilla was so good I wish we had ordered a second.

My second time here and once again consistently delicious food. My favorite is the salmon tacos which are grilled and topped with delicious pickled onions. Ordered nachos and guacamole for appetizers which were also solid. Fun atmosphere and drinks. 4 stars because service was slow. It was New Year's Eve so I understand they were probably overwhelmed but I got my beer after the food even though I ordered it at the beginning of the meal.

This is our second time coming to Mi Chola for margaritas and chips and salsa and it did not disappoint. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews - the vibe is great, it's never been too busy when we go mid-day and overall for Aspen the prices are decent. The house margaritas are pretty standard, but they do the job. The chips and salsa are fresh and have a good flavor. We tried the jalapeño peppers which definitely had a kick as noted on the menu. They were different in that they were deep fried and the inside was stuffed with a runny cheese which was super good. I loved this idea - wish I knew what kind of cheese was inside to try and replicate them. Oh and the spicy ranch! I almost forgot that was the best part. Highly recommend dipping everything in this tangy sauce. Overall this is a fun spot, especially if you go on off-season or not during busy hours you get to see all the locals enjoying the place. Definitely will be back - we love supporting this local business.

We were in Aspen for a few days and had looked up Mexican restaurants to try and this one seemed to be a good spot. The decor and overall vibe is on point. It has a kind of Mexican Gothic feel, which I really enjoy. I ordered the enchiladas and they were tasty. They also had good margaritas. The service was excellent as well.

    $170 worth of fajitas

This place is unreal - pictured is $170 worth of fajitas - hostess lied to me about making sure we got what was in our order - food may be good in restaurant but never get to go - total scam - also wouldn't pick up the phone when we called to ask what happened - no wonder they are going out of business...

The food just really isn't good. The patio is pretty spacious which is nice, but the tacos are all disappoints and the service isn't great. If you want Mexican in Aspen, I guess you have to go here, but I'd say switch your cravings and go somewhere else. I've given it a shot multiple times, but it's just always disappointing. Horrible service! I think it was the waitress first day! Had outside heaters but they weren't on ‍ forgot to take my order, took my plate before I was done! We had 3 pitchers of margaritas and felt like the buzz boy was kicking us out before we can finish our drinks. The pozole was good too bad I can't say the same about their hospitality.

This place is definitely pricey even in comparison to California prices and they charged us gratuity of 21% on the total bill for a table of just 3 people!!! The food was good and the decor was awesome. I really loved the Mango salmon with cauliflower rice. The mahi mahi dish was also good, the volcano poke bowl was average, the poke was fresh but the accompanying rice was not cooked properly! Drinks were just okay. (There is definitely a lot of scope for improvement) But what I felt a little weird was we were charged a 21% gratuity of almost $38 for a table of 3. It's usually charged for a much larger group (6 or more) in most of the places. Don't know if that is common in Aspen!! Read another review about this restaurant where they had a similar experience and it felt like the owners are pretty racist!!! Wondering if we have been victims of racism here...if so, wouldn't recommend any of the brown people to visit this place!!

Crazy crazy busy with loud music, still service was amazingly fast and server were really friendly. High prices restaurant with Tex Mex food. Portions are pretty big, if you are in Aspen area and craving for Tex Mex then this is the place for you. Amanda our server was amazing, we were party of 17 and she accommodated us without a hesitation. She recommended food and I'm glad I followed her advice.

came here for dinner last night... didn't receive silverware until after our appetizers came out, waters were never filed. their tortilla chips (fyi for gluten free people) are not gluten free which is always a bust. I brought my own chips thank god because the guacamole was pretty good. We ordered appetizers and it took forever for our waiter to come back and take our order for the main meal which didn't take too long but all our food came out really separately. some food came out 5 minutes later which is a lot when you're waiting for everyone's food to get there. i got a burrito type bowl but added pico and avocado. it was fine but something you could easily make at home for way less. the tuna poke bowl was not good though, it was very unflavorful and it came out way after the rest of the food.

I was really disappointed with what I saw at the register today. The cashier was only handing customers the tip receipt to sign without showing the itemized receipt first, and the 15% service charge was already added. I watched one customer pay the $7 service charge and then unknowingly add a $10 tip on top of it. Several others did the same because they had no idea the service charge was already included. What bothered me even more was that the cashier held back the itemized receipt until after customers had already signed and added a tip, and only then asked, "Do you want your receipt?" At that point, customers had no chance to see what they were actually paying for. If people want to tip extra, that's totally fine -- but they should be aware of what's already been added. Watching multiple customers unintentionally double‑tip didn't feel good, and it's something that needs to be addressed.

I came with my flight crew (just a couple of pilots in addition) and we just sat at the bar. I had the kale rotisserie chicken salad. The peanut dressing does have soy sauce so it is not gluten free, so they brought me a champagne vinaigrette instead. It was delicious. I got this during the cyclospora outbreak, because I'm a wild person now lol but they assured me they only get quality ingredients and super clean all veggies and fruit coming in. The French Dip came with lots of prime rib and a cup of Au jus, with horseradish to cut down on the heaviness. Crispy chicken sandwich was my favorite! It came sliced in three so the portion was massive. The chicken had more of a Japanese katsu style breading on it so it was super crispy. The burger was also a solid choice. Great bun to filling ratio and the spicy slaw was a complemented the burger well. The fries were pricey and I didn't realize that they weren't a side but an appetizer, but these fries were super crispy and delicious. You could tell that they were fried freshly on the spot. The creamy sauce it came with paired well with them! Deviled eggs were savory and had a kick from the pickle relish. This was my first time eating creamed corn and I liked it! It was warm and creamy, with a slight kick from the jalapeño slices.
