Discovered this place while looking over the strip mall from Lenny's Burger. Decided to try it for Mother's Day because we like non-traditional places that won't be too crowded. The place is small with only a couple of tables, but some comfortable seating for those waiting to pick-up. There was a large family there already with an impressive spread before them and seemed to be enjoying their meal. We ordered chicken, a beef noodle dish, some fried rice, and plantains, and took everything to go. Stefano, the lovely gentleman at the cashier, answered questions and explained to us a little about the Chinese influence on Peruvian food. He recommended next time we try toheceviche, and I was excited to learn Peruvian ceviche has no cucumber (I'm allergic). The food was packed nicely and stayed hot during the ride home. The chicken was perfectly cooked and tasted smoky (my cat stole my skin, but my parents assume me it was crisp and lovely). The noodles were really good, the beef tender, and the fried rice is different than your typical Asian fried rice. It has cinnamon and is really excellent. The plantains, though... Very tasty. I confess that this was what I was looking forward to the most, and I was not disappointed. My mom told a friend about it and she had already tried and agreed they loved it. Mi Corralito is a fast casual concept with a focus on Peruvian food. More specifically, they specialize in pollo a la brasa, which is a Peruvian style roasted chicken. What makes theirs more special is that their chicken is also smoked with mesquite. They're more of a 4.5 for me personally, but my partner considers them a 5, so I will round up :) They currently have a focus on takeout, but do offer some limited seating with chairs and tables if you do decide to dine in. Food served dining in will be served on plates with silverware, which many other fast casual places often do not do. It's a very sweet touch. Service is so kind and warm. You can truly feel their family owned vibes. My partner and I shared a pollo a la brasa combo, which comes with half a chicken (bone in), Peruvian fried rice, fries, and two sauces (spicy and mayo). We also got a side order of fried plantains. The chicken was excellent! It is so tender and fall off the bone with great flavoring. You can eat it on its own without sauce because it is well seasoned, but I also highly recommend you try their sauces! The spicy sauce actually isn't spicy at all to me and I'm more sensitive to heat. It's tangy and goes great with the chicken. The mayo is actually a housemade blend and is surprisingly so addicting. The fried rice was also well seasoned with great flavors. The fried plantains were also well cooked and tender. The weakest part of the menu for me is definitely their fries. They do feel rustic and home made, but they're not crispy at all. I prefer a crispy fry. I would suggest subbing out the fries if possible with another side. The fries also were cold on our plate. I can see that this is their first time opening a food business, so I try to give some leeway especially for their first year. I would love to see the fries be improved, but if not, it is not a problem for us because my partner and I still plan on returning because everything else was so good. read more

Was looking forward to trying Peruvian chicken for the first time, since it has a 4.8 rating. Was dissapointed . The restaurant is very neat and clean. Pleasant atmosphere. The employee's were very friendly. We ordered a whole chicken with a side of fries and two beef empanadas to go. The chicken looked awesome. That's about as far as it went. There was nearly no seasoning. Lacked any salt. The breast meat was slightly dry. The fries were ok. Nothing special. For five dollars each, I expected more from the empanada. I do have to say they were well seasoned, but tiny. I ended up making a soup out of the chicken. read more

I've always wanted to explore more Peruvian food. Located in the former taco chiwas space near the NW corner of Alma School and Warner is this casual, family run eatery. Their specialty is their "authentic" rotisserie Peruvian chicken. I honestly wouldn't know how genuine their food is but I do know it is tasty! On this visit last month, we ordered camarones saltados $20 and a can of Inca Kola $3. After a short wait, the food was ready at the pick up counter. Seasoned shrimps, tomatoes and onions cooked in a fiery wok served along steamed rice and french fries was fresh and flavorful. The Inca cola, a fun soda with a bubblegum flavor was a refreshing change. Cream soda varieties come to mind when I had my first sip. They also sell dry Peruvian grocery goods and sodas to take home. I need to go back and try their "authentic chicken" and dive deeper into Peru's food scene. read more

I had a scratch that wasnt satisfied and had to find more delicious chicken around the valley. I swung by and got a whole chicken togo with a side of sauces and yucca fries. If I hadn't disciplined myself to save the chicken for throughout the week I'm sure I could've crushed it in one sitting. The saltiness was perfect and a bit on the smokier side. Yucca fries were properly crispy and dipped with the sauce were exquisite. There's a big menu left for me to try and I'm eyeballing the lomo saltado next. Delicious Peruvian food! My husband and I love Peruvian food so when we heard about this place opening up near our house we knew we had to try it out. It's a great fast casual place with lots of classic options. They also have a little store area where you can buy things like ají and huancaína sauce. It's a family owned place and the staff was very sweet. They spent some time talking with us about different places I've been to in Peru. I also enjoyed the decor of pictures of different places in Peru and the restaurant was very clean. Highly recommend checking this place out! read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Mi Corralito. The chicken is superb- savory, not dry at all and well cooked. The accompaniments we got were fries and fried rice both were also delicious. The half chicken which was $12 and sides/ drinks for two cost us $33, reasonably priced. The service was very good. It's a mom and pop shop with not much seating but you can always order ahead and do the out. It's clean, and well decorated. The photos of Peru and its culture are featured beautifully. I would highly recommend and this is something I will crave from now on for sure! read more

This is a new family run business that serves authentic pollo a la brasa rotisserie chicken. It is mostly take out as there is very limited seating. If you have never tried Peruvian rotisserie chicken, you are in for a treat. The smell and flavor is reminiscent of the streets of Lima and restaurants that serve this slow cooked and moist chicken. The flavor was great and my only fault is usually there are 2-3 sauces with one being a green chimi churri. The yellow sauce was creamy and may have had some aji amarillo, but it was not what I was expecting. The price is a little high to feed a family, but I understand - $20/ whole small chicken quartered, I ordered 2. The lomo saltado was great with tender pieces of beef and kept separately from the fries. They also serve authentic drinks that you can try such as Inca cola (coke product- bubble gum/cotton candy?) Kola Inglesa and Chicha morada which is made from purple maiz. It will help to speak Spanish as my call was answered in Spanish. You can order in person but I would call ahead as it is not fast food. I would give it a 4.3 and you definitely should try this chicken because it is not dry and tastes best eaten pulling the meat off the bone with your fingers. Use lots of napkins because you will be licking your fingers to enjoy the taste. read more

Spotted this place when I went to Lenny's burgers a few days ago. Great new place for Wood charcoal rotisserie chicken bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. I got the half chicken and small frie (they certainly aren't small) the chicken was a fairly decent size not huge like Costco and not small Pollo Loco. Right size for me for sure. The fries were the best fries I've had in a long time. Kinda like Belgium fry's size and plenty of them. This is mostly a order at the counter and take out place. There are a couple seats or stools but not really meant as a sit down place. Very friendly service and kept me posted on progress of my order. Didn't take long as I might have expected. Highly recommend some of their hot sauce added. You do get a portion with the chicken but it's goes great with the fries as well. read more

What a gem of a restaurant! The Peruvian chicken (Pollo a La Brasa) was succulent and perfectly roasted, with a smoky, savory crust that melts in your mouth. Wow, absolutely excellent chicken! The French fries were golden and crisp outside, soft inside, (definitely not frozen) and the Aji sauce--bright, tangy, and slightly spicy--elevated every bite. Together, it's a symphony of flavors and textures that's utterly irresistible (so addictive). It's mainly a takeout place, so they only serve the food in takeout containers, but the lady asks if you are eating here, and if so, she will bring the food out to you. There are a few tables inside for those who want to eat in. I ordered the camarones saltado and the half chicken and both were delicious. The chicken was especially flavorful, especially with the sauce they serve it in. Popped by the site of the former Tacos Chiwas after practice, whose big shoes are filled by this absolutely delicious Peruvian rotisserie chicken place. This roast chicken, in whole or half, is moist and succulent, with a smoky, mildly spicy (not hot) skin. There's also a lomo saltado and platanos on offer, which I didn't partake in. The food is so delicious! We tried the fried plantains, the rotisserie chicken, a side of French fries, and a side of fried rice. The size of the French fry order was huge and they were great. The rotisserie chicken was so good, I've never had a rotisserie chicken with so much flavor! And the fried rice had a unique flavor that I'm not familiar with, but I loved it and will get it next time for sure. The side order of plantains was also large and delicious! Incredible flavor in the chicken and the rice, and the sauce that they gave us was fantastic too!! We were the only two when we went in to pick up and they were super friendly and helpful with the menu! They also have a few different Peruvian snacks/ groceries to pick up there and they were super informative with what everything was. This was my first time ever trying Peruvian style chicken and I am hooked. I bought two for a couple business partners and they immediately texted me how amazing the chicken was and where this place was. I had to go back and grab one for myself and my family. The chicken was insanely good and the spicy sauce it is served with was to die for.
