    French toast cinnamon roll
    Neal T.

Really good cinnamon roll French toast, spicy and delicious bloody Mary, and the bacon was crisp. Decor is interesting and the bottomless mimosa seems like a good deal but I didn't try it. They had a Xmas tree up still but decorated for spring I guess or summer? The Nutella crepe was epic as well. Fresh squeezed orange juice too was amazing. Food came out quickly and was all delicious.

Came by on a weekend morning. There was not many people waiting, but they were short staffed, so did have to wait a while. Food was worth it though. Had the Machaca and menudo. Both delicious. Friendly service. Home made corn tortillas, yum.

We had a very tasty lunch today, stopped by Pueblo had not been here in a while their fish tacos. I will definitely come back. They were amazingly delicious. Little bit of guacamole and salsa service was excellent. I am so happy that I returned.

Machaca with eggs and Banana Nutella pancakes.

Dining area is clean, music festive, and service friendly. Food prepared fresh and served beautifully. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a must!

Shoutout to my friend and fellow Yelper Eri G. For making a great breakfast recommendation. I was craving some authentic Mexican food, especially breakfast items and she said we had to come here. I always listen to her because she is spot on and this place was truly delicious. Located off Vineyard it's fairly easy to get to and it's right off of the freeway. I liked that they had their own private parking lot, makes dining here easy and safe. The restaurant itself is darling. It's actually pretty large inside and can fit a good amount of people. They had plenty of options for sitting, booths and tables and on a Saturday morning it wasn't very busy but it did pickup. The interior is clean and they have nice artwork and decor. I loved the stained glass windows that face the main dining area. Service was easily 5 stars. Our waitresses name was Norma and she was so sweet. She had a great personality and made us feel super welcomed. She was on top of things and gave us great service from start to finish. I also appreciated that she answered our questions about the menu and gave good suggestions. I'd come back again just to eat at Normas table! The food is another 5 stars, everything I had was delish. The menu here is big with lots of breakfast and lunch options. I opted for the pork verde chilaquiles. This came with an over medium egg and beans. The dish was fantastic and easy 5 stars. The eggs were cooked exactly as I asked and the refried beans had great flavor. The portion of the chilaquiles was massive, super generous for the price. What I also liked was that the pork verde sauce was flavorful and had massive amount of cooked pork. Sometimes when they say their sauces have pork some places just use small shreds but here the pork was very generous and super tender - cooked perfectly. My friend ordered a crepes breakfast combo plate and it looked tasty to me. Also fun that they have a nice small alcohol selection here for those of you who like a boozy brunch. Beers and wines. Also bloody Mary's and my personal favorite, their micheladas. Presentation was great and the drink was cold and refreshing. If you're looking for a family run breakfast and lunch spot with Mexican American fusion you must definitely check out this spot as it was really good and nice people work here!

I had never been here for breakfast ! Glad I finally made it! I was tempted to get the menudo they sell Saturdays and Sundays but I had a date with the gym right after. I opted for the crepe combo . It was ok but my friend's chilaquiles verdes looked muchoooo better . I was jealous! I just wanted a lighter breakfast but wished I would have had something like her plate . Haha ! Norma .. our waitress was wonderful! Attentive, friendly and sweet . We got there at 8:30am so it wasn't that busy . People started arriving around 9am . Plenty of parking out back. Clean place! Come support . So much seating indoors or outdoors. Big menu with options for the entire fam or the pickiest of friends.

It's Cinco de Mayo today but I don't need an excuse to eat Mexican food. It is my favorite! It was getting close to dinner time and I just wanted to place an order to go. When I walked up to the counter, a man helped me right away. He handed me a menu so I could look it over and then in a few minutes I was ready to place my order with the cashier. She was also very helpful and friendly. My order was ready in about 10 minutes. I ordered a Wet Chile Verde Burrito. They also gave me chips, salsa and pico de gallo. The burrito was quite large yet I had no problem finishing it all. The salsa has got to be one of my favorites I have tried out of the 2 Mexican restaurants I have tried since moving here. It was thin yet had some chunks of tomato, cilantro and I think orange bell pepper?. I could be wrong about the bell pepper. They could be pickled peppers for all I know. But everything was tasty and seasoned well. The burrito had rice and beans in it but there definitely was more pork in it than the rice and beans which I prefer. I don't care for places that use rice and beans as the main filler. This place doesn't do that.

Found this spot on yelp. Came here for Mexican breakfast, it did not disappoint! I will definitely be back! Gracias

This is a very family friendly breakfast restaurant. It was my first time here because we were looking for a place who had chilaquiles. They have lots of parking space available and inside so many tables. We came in around 1pm and it was busy but still we were greeted as soon as we walked through the door and seated right away. They only have tables so not booths are available but they offer so many options from french toast to classic mexican plates. We started off with the asada nachos and they were very delicious. My red chilaquiles were also very delicious. I just would have liked more sour cream on them but they were still good. Everyone was very attentive and very friendly as well. They also offer lots of drinks so family or friends this is the perfect place to enjoy it all together! This a great spot in Oxnard!

We stopped by on a weekend and were so pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly. Our meals were really good too my only "complaint" was that the horchata wasn't very good and were accidentally charged for 2 instead of 1. I would still come back again because it was that good!

Jan '24 - Special of the Day: Bacon, Cheese, Avocado Omelette & chose home potatoes for the side
    Lea L.

Mi Pueblo Cafe is a Breakfast, Lunch spot & some days Dinner serving Mexican cuisine in Oxnard. They are located on Vineyard Ave & closest intersection is North Oxnard Blvd, in between Chevron & El Pollo Loco. If driving from Oxnard Blvd, you would have to turn on Vineyard & make a U-Turn to get here. Plenty of parking in their lot behind the restaurant. Walked in on a Monday morning & didn't wait too long to get seated. Good amount of patrons having breakfast & a good amount of indoor seating... Latinx vibes felt here with Authentic music playing in the background. They have a cute little bar in the back too. They serve Traditional Mexican Breakfast like Chile Verde, Chilaquiles, Machaca & more. They also have American Classics such as Omelettes, Waffles, Pancakes & more. For lunch & dinner they offer: Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, Burgers & Dessert. I wanted something light & simple, so I went with the Light Breakfast. It came with: 2 eggs whites, 2 turkey bacon, wheat toast & fresh fruit. I didn't realize my breakfast was supposed to come w/ toast, until I got home & glanced at the menu while I was looking at my pictures. Oh well, no biggie. I still enjoyed my food. My +1 ordered the Special they had that day which was a Bacon, Cheese, Avocado Omelette & chose home potatoes for the side. He definitely inhaled his plate, with a small serving leftover for me to take home & try the next day. Man those potatoes were good! Lots of flavor, had some bell peppers & onion pieces in it. Overall, we enjoyed our Breakfast! I would definitely come back to try the Traditional Mexican Dishes. Our server today was Monze. Thank you Monze for making us feel welcomed, for checking on us & made sure everything was okay :) *Check Hours, they vary

Hi David, both Breakfast and Lunch is served every day until 3pm. Then we have our Dinner menu after. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!

What was the history of this building before Mi Pueblo? Im thinking a Dennys, or Sambos?

Close!!! Back in the late 1990s, it was a Carrow's. I was a waitress there.

I should have made the review before, to remind me that it's not worth it. The service was ok. Our waitress tried her best. She might be better off writing down what people ordered instead of trying to remember things, she missed three things with our party. First, my niece asked, before ordering a pancake combo, if she could get one pancake made with just blueberries and one with just chocolate. Waitress came back and said yes, but that's all she told us.. Second, my wife ordered her corn beef hash with home style potatoes. Instead, the order came to the table with hash browns. I tried her corn beef hash, it was one of the worse ever. Definitely canned stuff, and not made right. It's like someone thought they could make it, so they must went ahead and did it. Third, I ordered a standard burger with onion rings, it came out with fries. For my order, I told the waitress and she got this corrected right away. The burger was just ok. The bun was nice and buttered, brioche. The meat was juicy and cooked medium as requested. It was under-seasoned, but was okay for me as I usually try to get low sodium, but this makes it taste incomplete. Let's talk about my niece's pancakes though, they came out mixed, both blueberries and chocolate in both pancakes instead of two separate pancakes. And when the bill came, I was charged extra charge for each thing. $3 for the chocolate. $3 for the blueberries. Plate came out over $22, that's crazy. Inside is decently clean and large. Lots of space, although maybe it was because we came in a weekday early at 8:45. Anyway, skip it, not worth it. I prefer the local IHOP.

We came here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. We each ordered a cocktail. She got a blueberry margarita and I got a cucumber gin mixed drink. Both were refreshing and delicious. We ended up ordering another round. For appetizers we ordered the crispy maple Brussels and tuna & salmon tartare. The Brussels were fried to perfection and glazed a sweet maple syrup. It also came with thick cuts of bacon. Definitely recommend this. For the tartare, it was also delicious and fresh. It was mixed with avocado and turnip. We thought the turnip would be off putting but it actually meshed well with the flavors. Came with fried wonton chips. For the main course we shared the NY strip and Lobster Malfaldine. The steak was cooked to perfection with a very nice sear and flavored well. Probably one of the better steaks I've ever had. Definitely beats out any steakhouse steak. The Lobster Malfaldine was also absolutely delicious. Most of the time, lobster pasta is usually a bit bland and lacking in lobster. NOT HERE. They included big chunks of lobster and the sauce was so good. Lastly, we ended our dinner with the Strawberry Hand Pie. This is basically a warm strawberry strudel with vanilla bean ice cream. They used locally sourced strawberries and I'm still thinking about it as I'm writing this review. Adrienne was our server and she was very nice and attentive. Since it was my girlfriend's birthday, they comped our dessert. Super nice staff!

However the quality control & staff members are sadly inconsistent. They are slow to greet slow to check back in (poorly trained). Food often comes out not at the same time so some items are cold while others just arrived (again poor training). At that price point everything should be on point!
